The game against Skillous had me laughing out loud. Your builds never disappoint.

@uThermal, an idea for a tournament/general challenge: “Random: one base or die”. Offensive/proxy/deception bases ok, as long as no resources gathered there. The limitation isn’t time, it’s resources. A lot of games would look similar to these speed runs, but I’d be excited to see what other kinds of play might be discovered given the different trade-off. BTW, great content as usual.

I do proxy Thor drop a lot when I off-race as Terran. I like to mix a liberator and a couple of mines in there too since you need an armory anyway.

This is glorious! I don't even play SC2, but I love watching your fantastic commentary as you cheese your way to victory.

I like the 6minute last attack rule. But don't forget to pull every single worker for your last push (it kinda hurt watching you not do that all games😋. Zero reason not to that).

Not all workers. Some amount of mining cans still be used to repair and to keep warping in units from the prism.

5:18 Thors auto targeting is set to prioritize air units over ground units, it was focused on the Raven when it came back that second time, you need to manually force them to target ground units in those cases.

the 6min all-in make lot of sense ! For the 6 min final push, either you could send the workers with your army (Fire Song suggestion in his comment) or let them work and warp new units with protoss, or build new units with other race - but only if they can reach the fight in time, without deadtime. Both could be fun and fair with the rules :)

Man, SC2 is old at this point, but you manage to keep it wild and interesting with these wacky plays. Love it.

Hi Uthermal! Love you vids. There is a cheese I used to do I was hoping u could try. I used to timing rush 4 nuke silos hidden and 1 early ghost hidden..while pf wallingnmy base.. I realized if I did this early the enemy wouldn't have detection..and with 4 silos a ghost could launch 1 nuke at a time indefinitely as the first nuke was rebuilt by the time the 4th landed.. I just did this perma in his base until all his production was gone ( 4 nukes max) and the pf saved my base from counter rush... maybe u can make a rush build like this?

6:45 How high of an MMR would cheese go if it's running into the enemy base to drop 3 pylons to block the enemy inside their base? 300 mineral dump to prevent scouting and expansions, but could probably be more efficient.

I wonder if for that last build you could have gotten blue flame aswell. Would have made it very easy to do alot of damage if you get ontop of the drones/lings

I'm not really good at SC2, so I might be sugesting something stupid: is it possible for you to make something like Marine - Reaper rush? First idea behind it would be maybe for Reapers to tank damage in (Reapers can heal while not attacked), while Marines dish damage. Second idea would be mass Marine rush with one or two Reapers that help disrupt enemy formation with grenades (maybe it would help against enemy ranged units like group of Marines or Queens). I'm not sure if any of this is possible, or does it require some insane micro.

I remember one of my first WoL games when SC2 was released. I got thor drop rushed, I thought that was only possible because everyone was noob af in a new game trying new units, but I see it actually is possible.

How about a challenge where you remote mine when possible? If there's a ramp to the next mineral spot, reposition your CC to a midway point bewteen the mineral spots and just mine both. Only expand via CC if you're at a gap that's like (cc)---(empty mineral)---(cc). I can't think of a thematic unit for it, but if you're expanding twice as fast but need double the SCV's to make it work you'd have to be kinda clever to defend yourself.

Would hellbat & ghost be a possible cheese against zerg? The ghosts can snipe the queens, hellbats kill the zerglings

on your last proxy thor build I think you could have afforded blueflame pretty easily. Woulda made it that much more powerful :D

I had some ideas of chalenge you could do : -SC1 to grandmaster (only using SC1 units and build in SC2) -The cheap and the beast : you can only build the cheaper and and the most expensive units (and workers) -first only : the first unit for each type of buildings (exemple marines for barracks) -slowthermal : can't go above 75 average apm

At the 6 minute mark when you throw it all in, some have already suggested that you sent all your SCVs to attack, but what about any PFs you might have? Or, Hell, send ALL your buildings over lol If it can move, it gets sent to the enemy base! Could serve as a last ditch distraction lol

I think you should still be able to mine/reinforce after 6 min. But you need to be all in on the attack by 6 minutes, no retreating or trying to get a better position or using any slow micro tricks. All in attack dive at 6 min, but allow some mining/reinforcing for a bit to secure the victory if needed.

uthermal, I am a protoss main and I am extremely, extremely, cheesy. I could give you some suggestions for PvP cheese. Try putting cannons and batteries in their natural expansion forcing them to break out. Don't let them get an expansion. It's pure torture to deal with for protoss. Build Immortals and Tempests and put a nexus in their natural to boost your shield batteries. I've done this 2v1.

Yeah, you're right, the Thor launched missiles at a Raven instead of using cannons on a ground unit.

In the last game zerg could think that you make proxy bunshee and he had enough queens to beat them

Do a Florencio, proxy nexus recall rush.

I just wanted to point out incase uThermal sees this but in the first game when he asked why the cyclone wasnt shooting it looked like it may have locked onto a marine after killing the medivac and was waiting for the lock on cd after the marine died.

Maybe some ideas for future challenges: * upgrade required: You are allowed to use every unit but you have to have at least the primary upgrade researching before you can use them ( only exception marines ) * Buddy system: You are allowed to make every unit but certain units have a buddy. If you create one of each you have to make the other. (eg raven-mine, cyclone - tank etc maybe some exceptions) * the floor is lava: Only touch the floor where there is a base present or possible anyway keep up the good work
