This young boy only sings old songs

Музыка

I met Finn while asking random people to sing in Sarasota, FL. When I ask him what music he likes, I expect him to answer with newer music since he is so young. But despite his age, he has a well developed taste for the classics. So that's what's we sing!
As a musician, I'm all about creating musical experiences that have people feeling happy and free, and that's why the "Sing With Me" series exists. Since 2018, I have asked thousands of random people to sing with me on camera. A lot of people have said no, some have said no initially but changed their minds to yes, and some have said yes right away. I ask these people to sing with one purpose: to create a way for them to experience a sense of happiness and freedom they did not feel before. And much of the time, this actually works (and that makes ME happy).

Thank you so much for filming this.. This is my dad, with my step mom and her friend. They have been together for 42 years and has cherished every moment with him.. I’m sorry this video portrays her as impatient, but she truly is one of the kindest, giving, and most caring people I know. I am lucky to have them both! He will be 84 this year and has Leukemia. He gets so nervous when he is in front of an audience but he has always had such a soothing voice. He would sing “God you’re so good to me.” Thank you for your kindness and I am truly grateful to have this video with me forever. I hope to see sing with you one day too!

This is what the world is missing, strangers talking together and music is the bond. I got out of prison in 2011. I was on a train back home. It was strange. Not one person was talking. Everyone had earphones on? I saw a woman in her twenties with a guitar. Two seats down engrossed in her laptop, earphones on. I went to get some coffee and saw an elderly man with a violin case. I struck up a conversation with him, and came to find out he was a professional violinist. I commented on how people obviously stopped talking to each other within the last 10 years I've been down. He agreed sadly. I said there's a girl down below with a guitar. He said, see if she wants to play. I introduced myself and told her about the man up stairs. She immediately got her things and went with me. Come to find out she was in college learning music. A few minutes later, there was music, a crowd and laughter in that part of the train. It was like a dream to me. Remember i had been in prison for 10 years and was actually afraid of the outside world. I thought to myself in silence while the music and joy ensued, I can't believe it took a newly ex con to bring strangers together and meet. What has happened since I've been gone? So, this video reminds me of that time. Strangers getting together to make music. Wow! Thank you for bringing back that memory. Thank you for making the world better. God bless, ✌️🦁

One of the more subtle, but one of my favorite, parts of this video was when the boy was describing his feelings and being a bit slow to find his words and you don’t rush him. You simply waited, giving him the time and space to express himself without trying to fill in his words for him. I found that particularly sweet.

THEN, GO RIGHT AHEAD AND DO IT ( whatever it is) HIS WAY. I HAD HOPED JACK WOULD HAVE STAYED LONGER. Cool to see his parents are letting him learn what feels right to him ! I love that kids are wanting to sing older songs

This young man is so impressive! He puts himself out there to the world, but then he skillfully takes a backseat and most gracefully allows the other person to live their dream, or at least have their 15 minutes of fame. Mad respect for this artist, humanist and spiritual warrior…🙏👏😊👍🙏
