Reminds me of Alison Krauss's cover of Keith Whitley's When You Say Nothing At All. Keith's phrasing was beautiful, then Alison just smoothed it out and purified it in her own style. So many good ways to do a song..

My only child is now an incredible 22 year old young lady . My ex-husband, her Dad, left the exact day she turned 10mos old. No note. Refused to answer or return calls on his cell or at work. Just completely disappeared. I have remarried, twice. My second husband also left us. Worse yet, 18 yrs ago my Dad, paternal grandma and then my Mom all died within 6 months. I'm not sure I ever worked through and properly grieved losing my best friend and first cousin who died when she 12 and I was 10. There have been far too many others who have died or just left. My daughter is MY LIFE- so much of my joy is wrapped up in her! All of her life she has been extremely kind, loving, generous and has a smile and voice that melts my heart! She gave me hope and to be totally honest, SHE SAVED MY LIFE! I said ALL that just to really say, "YOUR SONG" is super special to me as much of the lyrics and all of the emotion is SPOT ON how I feel for my daughter. "How wonderful life is while (you're) she's in the world!" 💞💞

Couldnt put it better myself but for me it is my son and daughter. This song always makes me cry because it means so much to me.

I recently lost my 29 yr old son. He was an awesome blues rock guitar player like Gary Moore, Jo Bonamassa, BB King etc . His music. always brought joy and happiness to many people. He was very gifted and lost his life to illness far too young. I am broken hearted but listening to music helps. Thank you for your music.❤❤❤❤

@@MarkCookmusicHe rarely compliments his singers because his opinion is that all are important; because it takes a certain amount of courage to participate. And not all of his singers are very good….that isn’t what his effort is about. And if there are others around, few would have the quality of this lady. And there would be no more participants.

The clarity, range ease of her jazzy, eclectic delivery. Gives me goosebumps.

This should be the remake...and played on the radio. I really love her voice .

I used to sing this to my baby girl through quiet tears when she was still in my arms. It meant a lot to me because of the domestic violence situation we were trapped in. We finally escaped when she was 6. She's 8 now and I still shed a few tears when i hear it. Beautiful. I wish peace and freedom to all you survivors out there and your precious little ones. Believe its possible and it will be 💜

@@becky-hx1ge I cannot sing anywhere near how good she is, but like me, most people can catch the imperfections, the off frequencies and not keeping the timing etc. Her level is okay for singing with friends, but would need years of training to become a good solo singer.

It's wonderful to hear a singer with her own voice. What an accomplishment. So many subsets these days imitate. This woman actually sings with her own voice.

Its really good to see how these people all have such true voices. All the notes she holds on to are spot on, her voice is really beautiful. And no one starts to tremble either
