She was amazing! And smiling actually helps with brightening the tonality and raising the pitch of a note. It's a great starting position to sing (at least, my vocal coach swears by it).

Why is she smiling isn't it obvious. She is in the moment. Optimism fills her heart and the others who hear her. She does not force her voice that allows her octaves to come out naturally. Singing comes from proper breathing through the diaphram not the mouth.

This girl is phenomenally talented. I hope she finds her way back, she has so much to offer.

Phathiswa comes across as such a genuine, cheerful, friendly, open, fun woman...no games, that is who she really is! And MAN CAN SHE SING, wow...she slayed "Put Your Record On", what a great singer!

You know you're doing well when strangers applaud in the middle of the song for you. She's talented, and I love her vibe. Hope she goes back to singing for herself as well as for the world.

Yes, good artists don't need the industry anymore. They can create a YT channel, go viral and suddenly find themselves getting offers to perform at venues of various sizes and/or pick carefully from labels that will inevitably approach them.
