started off rather plain, more of a singing around the house kinda nice. then when she took it up you could feel it, she's a singer that needs the more powerful songs and not rely on the softer style. other than that, beautiful woman that I would listen to talk all day long.

Sad that she wrote the song and the performer had no clue who she was, and then didn't even think she was good enough to be on his team. He's an amazing artist but he had no clue that her song made him millions! That should be embarrassing af for him. Song writers need more credit.

TBF I get it. Nothing in the sound or song choice really sounded like his specialty. That had Tom written all over it. It wasn't until he saw her that he probably thought "maybe I have some commonalities with this person."

She has a great ability! I would have chosen Tom because he has a lifetime of experience and there won't be a whole lot of opportunity left to mentor with him in this lifetime!

She's an artist and she definitely sounded nostalgia 90's with those unique and nostalgic vocals.

I remember watching the Bruno Mars Doo-Wops & Hooligans Tour in Glasgow on the 31st October 2011 and Tanya Lacey was the opening act. Remember her featuring in Loick Essien’s song How We Roll, great memories!

Tanya seems like she has been through the wringer, as so many talented artists do. So glad she took that step back and refocused on her life and ambitions but hasn’t given up on being where she wants to be. I wish she hadn’t included the story of her connection to Will in her pre-performance package…think it would have had more impact if she had announced that on stage after her audition. Glad that Sir Tom and Gavin turned for her…sad that Will didn’t even though he seemed he wanted to…think song choice was the issue with that. Loved Gavin’s pitch…seemed so heartfelt.

All these ppl commenting that they didnt care for her, my thoughts, she sounded like this could be her song, her speaking and singing voice have great character and to get a turn from Tom Jones AND a standing ovation from him too, means she has a gift and a talent!

she has a great voice. i guess for me, she could've picked a song that suits her phenomenal voice better. i felt like this song didn't highlight it much. but i love the raspiness of her voice. it's one of those sounds that has character and is easily recognizable when you hear it.

Once in a while I hear a voice that gives me goosebumps of Cosmic Harmony and I Feel that Voice and that person is going to be a Bright Shining Star for years to come. This lady has what it takes . I hope her mentors give her the wind beneath her Wings she needs. Namaste. Carpe Diem.

I see your point, but let's not exaggerate...he did not make "millions" off her. Her song was a stand alone on iTunes, never included on his album, and didn't chart well. It probably cost more to buy the demo than profit from the song. Plus she's not listed as a writer, which means she sold the draft to them (full release, 1 time fee, no residuals) and they re-worked it.

I love her voice, but I do think she chose the wrong song. She started off a little weak, but her voice is strong & she has an excellent tone. I think she should’ve chosen a better power ballad. Maybe something of rock influence.

Im not sure how that all works different for each song writer I guess ..I personally know a song writer wrote a song back in the late 70s that still gets a check every month for royalties..3 to 5000 a month based on air play. He gets a break down of where it's played it's still seems to be a popular song in Europe that's where most of the play is .

​​@@torresilk4277They met when Tom was invited to Hollywood to appear on TV. Elvis was filming a movie and asked to meet Tom then, when they met, sang one of Tom's songs to him. Tom has talked about this many times, most notably on the Graham Norton show , if you want to watch it. They remained great friends, even vacationing together with their wives.
