How about baking a red velvet cake for Christmas this year for your loved ones?
I don’t think there is any cake that goes well with Christmas like red velvet cake.
The colors are gorgeous and the taste is really good too.
There are many recipes to achieve red color...
This time I made it with ordinary ingredients.
And to achieve an attractive red color, please use natural cocoa powder that has not been Dutch-processed. (Hershey's Cocoa Powder)
Dutch processed cocoa powder is very dark in color, so bright red colors are not suitable.
(Alkali-treated Valrhona cocoa powder only has a dark red color.)
I wanted a bright red color, so I used Hershey's and was able to get a red color with just a small amount of pigment.
The frosting used for the red velvet cake is American Buttercream.
However, we made it with a more special flavor, so please check it out in the video.
I also make mistakes while filming videos.
You guys seem to really like behind-the-scenes footage, so this time I edited it and showed it as is, without cutting it out.

● Beautiful Red Velvet Cake
(Mold size: 24cm*35cm)
40g milk chocolate
55g milk
35 g vegetable oil
4 yolks (68g)
20g sugar
75g cake flour
6g (Hershey's) cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
4 egg whites (140g)
50g sugar
food coloring (red color)
● Special Vanilla American Buttercream Frosting
(No-Egg Buttercream Frosting)
280g unsalted butter
100g sugar powder
5ml Vanilla extract
125g white chocolate
1g salt
50g Heavy cream (38% milk fat)
● Syrup
30g water
20 g sugar
3ml rum

Not to worry about mistakes. About two years ago I was making zucchini bread for Thanksgiving. When I checked on the bread it looked like a science experiment gone bad. It was bubbling like crazy. Could not figure out what I had done wrong and then remembered I forgot to put in the flour ! Threw pan and the experiment out and never told anyone.
