I bought a series x with no 4k tv. One reason was the disc drive, i have alot of physical games. Also even though i cant take advantage of the 4k, i think the games still run better and load faster.

The games will not run faster in your Xbox Series X just because your resolution is 1080p, the internal resolution from the game will be the same as if your console is set at 4K resolution. The resolution will be downscaled to 1080p that's it, but the performance will be the same. It's not like on PC where depend of your resolution "example 1080p" the game will be rendering at 1080p and gain more performance.

You can use the pxd chip from the one S instead of bypassing. Flip it upside down and solder all the pins to the right places. An interposer would be nice though.

I only have a 1080p TV with a series X . The series X downsamples from a 4k signal and gives a much sharper picture on a 1080p TV than an S on a 1080p TV . Framerates are significantly improved also

I had to do the eds booster bypass on my series x and the only issue i have, is my TV input ALWAYS shows it's ON. and sometimes it starts up in low res mode... So i need to hard shut down and turn on again. But I'm getting 4k 120 and plays Call Of DUKIE just fine.

12:35 This chip in particular was the source of the problem to no output 4k? At the end of the video you said its because of the retimer chip, so I am a bit confused. I have a customer that has this same problem. I would like to think an ESD bypass is not required and rather the retimer chip is faulty. If this can be clearly answered, I'd appreciate it.

Hello mate how much would you charge to fix a charger port on a switch?

Serious question dude but ive heard you can swap the potentiometers in a dualsense with the old magnet style ones that never get stick drift? Just wondering if thats a job you can do and if so, can you do it for me? I need new liquid metal as well because its started ovearheating/powering off in horizontal now. I always do that lol. It's non conductive so it would never hurt electronics but it allows the IPA to push through the port to make sure it cleans inside the port too 😉

Specifically regarding what's available in 4k TVs with gaming features it's actually pretty smart to wait, most are over-priced and janky, once the budget brands have solid 2.1 chips with gaming features you'll be able to buy a TV that's worthwhile. Even the smaller Sony sets are still cutting corners because the tech is too new.

Would a bad esd chip also cause a hdcp error when trying to watch dvds. My xbox was knocked over and I'm having same issues with no 4k. Why do people want to bypass the chip and how much would you charge to replace one. I took my xbox series x to have a gaming store fix the hdmi port which broke but even after repair on auto detect it's in low resolution and I have no sound. If I manually select it to hdmi I have sound and can change the resolution

It could be ESD related but it could also be the HDMI redriver too. Without fault finding it's hard to say to be honest. Personally for me it depends what is wrong. Normally around £80 though

Series X has the better hardware, runs games better in 1080p compared to lowered specced models. Also has 1TB storage. They only just recently released a 1TB S model. Also 1TB series X is $399 standard ($350 on sale). Series S has no disc drive. You can still get games for free to rent at local libraries as well. Can't do that for a digital only console.

Hello is Error Code CE-108255-1 fixable?

I don't have a 4k tv or monitor and have a Series X. I own a bunch of 360 and Xbox One games on disc and the Series S has no disc drive. Honestly could care less about 1080 or 4k as long as I can see it and it looks clear.

Saw you get mad when you dropped that screen after fixing backlight the other week :( BTW whats the point of the bypass?

Phil - what is going on with my repair - its been months and you only reply to one in 10 emails i send you saying you will check tomorrow and never get back to me. At this point im giving up and considering my daughters switch as stolen.

I bought a series x myself. I have a 4k tv, but it can't take advantage of the 120fps. Only the 60fps unfortunately lol.

It's ok, there's hardly any games that put out 120. Most are still 30

There is almost no games that runs 4K 120fps, the ones that runs at 120fps normally works at 1440p or lower. 4K 60fps is enough good for play, only if you are a competitive COD player and you want an extra response time and fluidity is worth it the 120fps with the corresponding sacrifice in resolution and graphics.

Real ones remember when the title said Xbox One instead of Xbox Series Also, I forgot about the TV, the last time I remembered you being mad was the idiot on eBay who, among other things, put thermal paste on top of the liquid metal.

series x has more storage then the old version series s and series x has a disc drive when series s dont

I feel sorry for those people that are either left or right handed and are stuck with only using that hand. I am very grateful to be ambidextrous and can use both.
