This Would Be Disastrous Today - Dividends Pay for My House . I came to the realization that I had too much money wrapped up in the house doing nothing. I decided to put some of it to work in the stock market utilizing a low interest fixed rate mortgage. Watch my journey as I share what I am investing in with the hopes that it will pay my monthly mortgage payment. Hopefully, at the end of the 30 year mortgage, my stock portfolio will be HUGE!!! Will I succeed or fail? This is Part 15 of the series.

Not a bad plan, with the extra money left over to reinvest, you are compounding your future income stream. The big money is always made during market panics. To this day I still kick myself for not loading up on Ford stock @ $1.25 a share during 2008/09. I know of a case where a person cashed in $155,000 CD to do just that he bought between $1.25 & $2.50 a share, & it's been a life changing event.

Smart move but I wonder why you don’t sell the stocks and bust-bills (bonds)? At 4-5% on a 30 day treasury it would far outpace any added tax liabilities. Just my opinion but I really like how you think👍👍

It wouldn't cover the mortgage payment

    @@Challenged1 Maybe I’m not understanding. Wouldn’t 200k on a 30 day US Treasury which is currently 5.37% pay roughly 10k a month?

If you took the loan on an investment property, the interest would be tax deductible as well.

I was scrolling through my KZread feed and a saw video about cockroachs posted and my brain went hey I have not seen a video from Garrett recently so I looked up your channel and found this video you recently posted. I'm curious if you are still using groundfloor as investment tool?

Thanks for the post. Nope, I cleared out of Groundfloor. I no longer have confidence in it after reading their balance sheet.
