This place called 'No where' is called Mai Mahiu in Nakuru County. The reason for this train is because the government of Uhuru Kenyatta set aside thousands of acres of land as a dry port where an EPZ Export Processing Zone is being set up owing to the cheap electricity from geothermal plant near Suswa. In this EPZ, investors are being encouraged to set up industries for export products. Also, near this Suswa place, the government plans to give free land to the landlocked countries like Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan and DRC Congo, where they can set up offices and go downs where their imports that come from Mombasa port can be sorted out and collected to travel by road to those countries. Land is cheap now in this area but soon, the place will get super expensive. I have 5 Acres there.

Uhuru was a visionary leader who opened and empowered numerous locations through infrastructure development. From superhighways in Lodwar and Northern Kenya to the Lamu port and the seemingly ambiguous railway project. Often overlooked is the fact that all cities in Kenya, including Nairobi, originated as railway stations. Only Mombasa that was more developed prior to colonization. In 20 years, this region is poised to become a vibrant metropolis.

@@molotovcocktail4207 Vision 2030 is the blueprint that serves as Kenya's long-term development plan, targeting the transformation of the country into a newly industrialized, middle-income nation by 2030. You should understand that the idea isn’t Kibaki’s, rather it was initiated shortly after independence. Moi, buried it, but Kibaki revived it to foster socio-economic progress. Uhuru energetically implemented it. However, I doubt about Ruto advancing it any further. Uhuru takes credit for any infrastructure done under his leadership.
