This is a tale of 2 countries. If we complain of marginalization, them go say what is your governors doing? This has shown that they are not interested in our wellbeing. While they are building standard gauge trains track for other regions they are leaving us with narrow gauge tracks. They built modern trains stations for the other regions, they left us with colonial era train stations. They imported modern trains for Lagos Ibadan line and Abuja kaduna line but they gave us this world war 2 train that they used during Hitler’s war. Nigeria has abused us enough that our people are actually celebrating mediocrity. The old man is the only one there saying the truth. This Aba PH line will actually be more viable and profitable if they actually do it well. 😢

Nigerians like you have no self awareness and don't realize how they mock us here and use videos like the ones you post to do so. Now that we have Nigerian artists and even Nollywood actors making people over here curious about Nigeria, and Nigerian children who were born here are proud of were they are coming from and want to visit Nigeria, this is one channel I will not be recommending. Lagos Abuja are being rapidly developed everyday. The south east is underdeveloped when it comes to the 21st century and contribute to a high number of resources, se brings in the most import from the Lagos seaport. It is a shame and can no longer be okay. We also need federal development just like the new Abuja metro in Abuja go roads proper housing development. There south eastern governments need to be held accountable. The heartland Imo governer is doing absolutely nothing for the people and the culture. IMO state is the Lagos state of the west. It is shameful that they refuse to even mention south east when it comes to development. When are we going to hold our governors accountable?

Aba or PH is not a Capital City nor Economic center like Abuja and Lagos. That's the difference. Infrastructure comes with expensive prices. How many people moves from Aba to PH daily and can they afford 9k/3k VIP tickets? It's all about the City Economic value. If PH gives peace a chance and the oil companies return then the people will have the economic power to fund a modern train. But no they prefer fighting all the time from Ameachi to Wike and the current one! Give peace a chance

Nigeria Railway Corporation is a company Company. As a Nigerian corporation, they should be uniformity in provision of services to clients throughout the entire Nigeria. The type of services provided in the west or Northern part of Nigeria should be replicated to the Eastern part of Nigeria. There should not be any discrimination in buildings, train couches. But what you see in Nigeria is disgusting and disgraceful that people in the Eastern part are riding with rotten and obsolete Train wagons, while their Nothern and western countries are enjoying modern train wagons. And you call this one country. Nigeria government should look into this discrepancy and discriminatory practices going on in their country. You cannot call your country one nation, and yet the government is the one disscrimating against their own citizens and you expect your citizens and the global community to respect you as a nation. We all live in the modern society and should not behave like we're living in the days of slavery and stone ages. Just think about your actions towards your fellow citizens. Majority of Nigern leaders have been in other modern and developed countries. Like in US A or U.k,where it's against the law to discrimate against anyone. Even we black people abroad enjoy the same facilities like our fellow white counterparts. Yet Nigerian government does not any issue discriminating against her own citizens. What a shame!

The distance from Lagos to Ibadan is very further away than from Aba to Port Harcourt. Moreover, that line operates the modern trains and not what you have from Aba to Port Harcourt. In some countries, all ticket holders would have their money refunded, and transit buses to immediately dispatched to help move the passengers depending on their destinations. It is left on the Eastern Governors to lodge a serious protest and demand. Their region is supposed to be treated like other parts of the country.

The locomotive engines that operate in the Western and Northern Nigeria are very modern, and not easy to breakdown. Secondly, Port Harcourt is not far from where the train is now. In a real operating system, spear engines are supposed to be at the Port Harcourt "locomotive shop or shed as it was called before the Civil War", where an engine could be dispatched ASAP to travel to and tow the disabled engine and its passengers to its destination. What happens if the unarmed passengers are attacked by armed robbers? Also, before the train engine got disabled, the train driver must have radioed the Port Harcourt that they are having problems with the engine and wait for advice from the Chief Engineer in the shop. This Dr. Darlington Egbu from the USA.

I, Dr. Darlington Egbu who was born before the Civil War, and saw it all, concurs with the Pastor-Evangelist H. The former Eastern Nigeria, which now consists of Southeast and South-south zones is the "goose that lays the golden egg", yet the proceeds from the eggs are used to service other States, zones and regions. The Northern and Western States operate the most modern trains on a standard gauge line, while the Eastern Region got the old Narrow-gauge line. There is a trainline from Lagos to Ibadan, Abuja to Kaduna, and a new line being constructed from Kaduna-Zaria-Kano, will travels on a standard The new train line constructed by the Buhari administration that runs from Katsina to Maradi in Niger Republic is over 249 miles and runs on a standard gauge. Why did the Eastern States get refurbished coaches on a narrow track? That is the kind of injustices that gave birth to the agitation in the East today. Unfortunately, those women in the train were smiling and laughing without knowing how the men feel, and how the Federal Government has short-changed the Easterners. Why should it take a passenger train about two hours to travel a distance of less than 40 miles, from Aba to Port Harcourt, while regular cars and vehicles make it in 45 minutes? One can also see how filthy that line/route is, and the affected Governors are collectively no talking.
