I try to listen to VDH every night.

Our political system is analog, our information system digital. Not compatible, not functional. The solution may be the Swiss Model of government: massive decentralization of power, to the local level, where face to face pressure may get something done. The national level of government should be massively reduced. Same reason for Locals.

@@3338MAN In Australia I take this further. We were six self governing states who federated in 1901. The federal government was formed to do two things. Severely restrict immigration and to build a navy to defend our border. It's failed on both it's objectives and has no reason to exist anymore.

Endless wars in far flung places, exactly what Eisenhower warned about. The oligarchs who are the power behind the political system will enjoy watching the nation go at each others throats so long as they do not upset their control.

Fantastic interview fellas! The last statement by Victor Davis Hanson was probably the most foreboding. There is a lethargy in the west created by the prosperity we have enjoyed. Something we ought to be conscious of and guard against.

The government doesn't give Us Out Freedoms or Our Rights, or Liberty, those come from God, to Each And Every One Of Us! The federal government is supposed to keep foreign countries from attacking Us! They have taken upon themselves to monitor, tax, and legislate every facett of Our Lives! The federal government and it's corrupt agencies have become power and wealth driven, and forgot This Is Our Country, and they are public servants that work for Us! Anything they do against We The People, and against Our Constitution is treason.

As a US citizen, I don't live in a "democracy" whatever that is. I 'm living in what is supposed to be a democratically elective constitutional republic. In particular, my country is supposed to be fundamentally a union of 50 soverign states. Almost all of the government should (and originally did) exist at the state and local level. Modulo national defense, more than 99% of the federal administrative state should never have existed. Government agencies should be created (and destroyed) ONLY by the mutual agreement of voter majorities in individual localities or states and possibly by mutual agreement with voter majorities in other localities and states. Gov't structure should never come into existence solely by the action of congress, state legislatures or city councils and MOST CERTAINLY NOT by the action of existing government.

And yet year after year the government just decrees more laws, more beuracracies*, more taxes, more restrictions, more agencies, more power to themselves. We are. FAR cry from what the founding at had intended. They would immediately start another revolution if they came back today. The US should be ashamed at what it’s become.

The States need to repeal the 16th Amendment to take away the money and repeal the 17th Amendment so the States get their responsibility back to check k the federal government

Listening to Prof. Hanson's account of USA politics has really scared me. It does not get much dirtier. Well, not in the West. "They (the Hard Left) don't have right on their side...". Excellent! "Right", an old-fashioned concept that I like and understand. Prof. Hanson is an eloquent, intelligent and clearly experienced man. I like and respect him a lot.

Great interview, it gives you a lot to think about.

I heard this the other day and was shocked i never thought about it. We have black history month. We have an indigenous people month. Yet we only have Veterans Day? We wouldn't have either of those month had it not been for our veterans!

Yes. Biden has definite problems, and the far left is just as bad as the far right. But damned if I can say with a straight face that I think Trump is the answer. He also has definite problems. Everyone is counting on capitalizing on the divisions in America, and nobody is interested in uniting people, or even investigating whether that's even possible any more.

Victor hit everything on point, precisely. It is just as complex as he stated, and it's good to see I'm not the only one that sees this.

I started to listen to this and it was so informative and such truth bombs. I thought id do it just justice and download for later! Thankyou Victor and the absolute realisation that this really is going to be the most important election in the US (as well as dirtiest). Everything this guy has said, I told my mother when watching the US election in late 2020. She fired back stating that another Trump presidency would be bad too. I replied that the reason she thought that was because all she listened to was mainstream media. And as sure as night follows day, my predictions of Biden's Left-wing presidency have come true: an unmitigated disaster.

We farm near Yuma, Arizona. IMHO, farmers are such smart people. They have to know a lot about a lot of things. VDH comes from that world. Trump, equally, is a builder. He had to know a lot about a lot of things as well. When Trump returns to the White House, I have he take VDH with him.

Divisiveness is the WEFs goal. Destroy social cohesion. Who is it that is at the head of the WEF and who are main proponents of the WEF and who are the hidden extremely wealthy supporting the WEF agenda? These are questions we need answered so we know who needs to held accountable for their crimes against us of the hoi polloi.
