I feel like Jaclyn’s idea of a “sustainable lifestyle” she was talking about with Jordan not supporting her isn’t realistic. You can’t obtain sustainable weight loss or healthy habits by restricting yourself to the amount she is and then having ultimate feast style cheat meals on weekends or every 10 days or so. Eating foods you enjoy, while balancing your nutrition and eating sizable portions is sustainable. Actually, what Jordan suggested by splitting a meal of pasta is a great one. Split an appetizer and an entree. You will get the enjoyment you are looking for out of your food, but you won’t overeat and feel awful for hours or feel extremely guilty the next day. It’s all about healthy boundaries and a healthy mindset and a healthy relationship with food.

Right? when she says "if I go, im just gonna eat the whole bowl and appetizers, why would I split" its like THAT'S the issue. The "all or nothing" mentality never works because we lose willpower eventually and end up bingeing the same amount of calories we've restricted the whole week and THEN some and end up stuck in a horrible binge/restrict cycle. I wish she would understand why all the comments are saying all or nothing never works, but I know it's a lesson you just have to yourself the hard way :/

Jordan saying “let’s split the lemon pasta..” is his way of being supportive. He wants you to enjoy but stay within your boundaries so you can achieve your goal. Restaurant portions are way over sized as it is. No one needs to eat the whole thing. Fit or not. Cut your portions down and don’t over restrict yourself. That way you don’t feel so tempted to cheat. You can do it 💪

Just a note on Jordan’s “split it” suggestion for the pasta. I know you want to enjoy life and treat yourself but splitting things is actually a really great compromise on that. You still get what you want bu the portions are controlled. My partner suggested this for me and it was honestly a game changer at first I felt like it was a sacrifice but then when I tried his idea I felt like it was a great way to have the best of both worlds. I got what I wanted to eat but I didn’t OVERindulge… just my opinion. It just takes a little switch in the mindset about having that treat.

Thank you for saying this, I was going to say the same thing but I am long winded and cant word things properly. I don't think Jordan was an issue at all. She's upset and wants someone or something to find fault with. human nature. Also, it is important to not depend on people for support. Self control and discipline is very important although I understand encouragement from others can be helpful and motivating. But people get tired sometimes and when they are not as active in the support area, we feel like they don't care as much, which is not true most of the time. so she has to learn how to do this on her own for herself. I hope I make sense.

agreed, in the end this your journey not you and Jordan's. Self discipline is key. Do it for you girl, workout for you, get healthy for you because YOU want to. Support is amazing and Jordon supports you in his own ways. But he isn't the eating healthy police. I use to do this with my bf. But we are all individuals and need to hold ourselves accountable for our own actions and thoughts. If you wanted that lemon shrimp pasta, you could have substituted the pasta for zucchini noodles or something like that and that automatically makes it way healthier. It's a learning process

This really seems like a developing restrictive/binging dynamic with food. The foods you think are bad are okay to eat in moderation. Super restricting what you eat leads to bigger binges when you finally give in to cravings, which everyone does! Let yourself have the things you want in small amounts with a balanced diet. This avoids unhealthy relationships with food while developing food habits that are sustainable.

Normally I would agree with you but you have to remember that from the very beginning she was very clear that she is eating restrictively for a temporary time in order to heal inflammation in her body. When allowing your body to heal itself it’s important to cut out anything inflammatory for a prolonged period of time in order for healing to take place. She isn’t just doing this to lose weight. So although it may seem restrictive if you go to a naturopath dr and try to heal something they can go as strict as allowing only steamed cabbage for instance for several weeks to heal a leaky gut for example. It’s a different approach than just normal weight loss with the intent of taking the stress off of your body so it can allow itself to heal. It seems this is what Jacklyn is trying to achieve. She keeps mentioning trying to heal inflammation in her body. I commend her for being so honest about it despite many who may not understand the benefits of such a restrictive diet for healing purposes in the body. When you look at people who heal cancer naturally their diets are extremely strict. Again I’m not discounting people’s concerns. Normally I’d be very concerned, too. But she was specific in mentioning her reason for being so strict was for healing purposes in her body.

Stop calling it cheating, and get out of the habit of every time someone visits or there's a special occasion, you need to "celebrate" by eating a shit ton of food. You can enjoy your life without eating an entire bowl of pasta and insisting on an appetizer merely because you're eating out. Jordan has watched you cry and spiral and be upset about gaining weight and making bad decisions and he's just trying to help you avoid feeling bad, while allowing you to enjoy the things you want. You can't whine about wanting a bowl of pasta and how much you want it but can't have it, and when he offers a reasonable option to have your cake and eat it too, get mad that he isn't going to completely enable you. You're complaining because you want him to go "it's all good, girl, eat an entire bowl of pasta thats probably 1000 calories and then I'll try and help console you in a week when you haven't lost any damn weight. "

For anyone else who struggles with working out, my best advice is to find an activity that you ENJOY doing. If running on a treadmill is not for you then go outside for a walk or run, hike, play a sport, swim…find something that you LOOK FORWARD to doing every day. Even if it’s something small, like a 10 min walk around your neighbourhood. As you get healthier and fitter you will find that you want to do more. It’s the only way you will be able to stick to a workout routine and consistency is key when it comes to losing weight. Furthermore, think of it as something you will be doing for the rest of your life because to maintain weight loss and be healthy, you need an overall lifestyle change.

I feel like labeling food “bad” or “cheat” foods always makes me want to eat it more cause I’m a rule breaker lol. I try to say I care about my body, so I want to fuel it with good things and sometimes it’s appropriate to fit in indulgent foods into my calories for mental health. That always helps me.

Without sounding mean, I know for me, you have to look at food without worshiping it. Its gluttony. Its what makes you heavy, in pain, nauseous, and beaten. We can enjoy food and say thats great, but when we idolize it and commercial it, and allow drama to it, its gluttony, and an idol. That is not a healthy perspective. So each time you select a food to eat, just give its rate as great, good, ok, and nope. Don’t obsess its taste, you only build your brain into believing you need it more then you do, and then feel deprived because you dramatized it so much. Look at how those clothes fit and the way you feel as the comfort, not food. When you get down go put those comfy clothes on and say this is great. And this is worth it

This was my thought. I’m confused at the top comment supporting her when I’m 1/3 the way through and it’s all unhealthy. Which is like… diet culture does not work because of this. She has to hold herself accountable and she has to make her own choices and say “let’s eat here and do something else”. The problem is that “fun” is all good.

I love this series , I feel like the universe is working through you for other people , it’s what some people have needed and it’s refreshing to know that someone with a huge following in the beauty community can also help impact others with health and wellness by being so raw about their lifestyle. 🌹soo excited for what’s to come🤗

You're so beautiful! I'm happy you're feeling amazing! That's really all that matters! 🤩 I can totally already see a difference, if that's what you're looking for, that's great! From the clip to the next where you said you hadn't lost any weight in the last 5 days you looked slimmer! I can tell you are happier.
