This was the performance at Makuhari Messe in January 2023. Makuhari is in Chiba, which is on the eastern side of Tokyo Bay. It's about an hour on the train from Tokyo station to get there. I was at this show and I was in the pit bowing and jumping with all other kitsune. The crowds at Babymetal shows in Japan all know their role in each of the songs and play their part perfectly. The experience of seeing Babymetal live in Japan is unlike seeing them anywhere else. Babymetal's outfits are designed to be reminiscent of armour. They have gone through over a dozen designs over the years, but the underlying theme of armour and them being warriors has persisted through almost all of them. The lead singer in the middle is Su-metal, the girl on the right is Moametal, and the girl on the left is Momometal, although at the time this video was filmed, she had not yet officially become Momometal, and was serving in the role of Avenger (support dancer) which is why she didn't have a mic. I can confirm that there was a live band at this show. They were on a stage down one end of the arena, while Babymetal spent most of the show on that round moving platform in the middle of the arena. The band for this show was the Kami Band of the East - Takayoshi Ohmura (guitars), Isao Fujita (guitars), BOH (bass) and Hideki Aoyama (drums). The song is a coming of age story about a young girl sneaking out of home to go to her first metal concert on her 15th birthday. Fifteen is an important age in Japan, as it marks the end of compulsory education, so its seen as a milestone of maturity. The lyrics talk about her realization that she is moving beyond the days of childhood and that her life will never be the same again, so she is marking the occasion with a night that she will remember for the rest of her life. Suggestion for the next Babymetal song - Megitsune @ PIA Arena MM 2023 - kzread.info/dash/bejne/l5iW07NmnMesj7g.html Suggestion for another band - Hanabie, the song is "Pardon Me, I Have to Go Now" - kzread.info/dash/bejne/mKl6xLNmfcjdlto.html

Hell yeah man. Being 14-year veterans by now, they are bonafide stage generals. Also, the UK crowd shows up hard for Babymetal. I've seen the Wembley 2016 sold-out concert blu-ray, and the UK crowd was equally committed. UK is actually Babymetal's 2nd home. They've played Sonisphere UK 2014, Wembley (multiple times), Download UK (multiple times), Glastonbury, and Leeds/Reading festivals, not including ~10 years of world tours that included the UK. Since 2014, the Kami Band has backed Babymetal live fully. So, the music from concerts is always live. They do use backing tracks for additional instrumentation outside of guitar, bass, and drums though. Vocals are always live as well, especially for lead Su-metal, outside of mimed harsh screams and some effects at certain points. The backing voclas are mostly live, but sometimes tracked for choreography (but not to the extent of most pop groups). The ONE is bowing to the queen (lead Su-metal), because that's what we do in the Babymetal #notacult ... 🤣. You mentioned collabs - Babymetal has collabed and played with many artists: Bring Me The Horizon ft. Babymetal - Kingslayer: Official live is best version. BMTH and Babymetal has been good friends since ~2015, and supported one another over the years. F.Hero ft. Bodyslam & Babymetal - Leave it All Behind: Thai rapper & Thai rockband. Babymetal ft. F.Hero - Pa Pa Ya!! Babymetal ft. Tom Morello - Metali (Official Live): Tom is famous guitarist from Rage Against the Machine & Audioslave. Babymetal ft. Joakim Brodén - Oh! Majinai: Joakim is the lead vocalist from Sabaton. Babymetal ft. Tim Hansen & Scott LePage - Brand New Day: They're guitarist from Polyphia, and they will be joining Babymetal end of May for Fox Fest, most likely seeing this performed live together for the first time. Babymetal ft. Alissa White-Gluz - Distortion: She's the lead vocalist from Canadian band Arch Enemy. Lil' Uzi Vert ft. Babymetal - The End: Not my favorite song, but hey, Babymetal. Babymetal ft. Tak Matsumoto - Da Da Dance: He's guitarist from Japanese band B'z. Babymetal ft. Electric Callboy - Ratatata: This was just announced, and will be released May 23rd. EC is also performing at Fox Fest, so we're all excited to see that live! In addition, Babymetal has covered Judas Priest with Rob Halford on stage at the 2016 APMAs. Also, when Babymetal supported Korn and Red Hot Chili Peppers on their tour, they joined Babymetal on stage for the end of tour gag. Dragonforce has also played on stage when they "snuck" Babymetal on stage at Download 2015. Fun times, look forward to more! 🤘🦊

@@Bruce_Reacts Haha, nope, you're right in stating it. Babymetal's first major international/western stage appearance was Sonisphere UK 2014, and they were concerned with how "hostile" UK crowds can get for things they don't like. But after their 5-song set, they converted the ~50K confused UK metal heads and they were chanting "WE WANT MORE!!" as the girls walked off stage. You should do a reaction to *"Ijime, Dame, Zettai"* from Sonisphere UK 2014 from Babymetal's channel, and witness history in the making, lol.

That was quick - Good Job and great reaction again.🤘🦊Don't do us down, you said about their crowd control ... BABYMETAL's own (in their own headline shows) English crowds are like this too - or as close as we can get, but yes the Japanese crowds are on a different level.🤘 All live shows since March 2014 have the Kami Band (and they played the encores in some shows before that from October 2012). They were on one of the two stages at either side of the arena that were joined by the runway with the moving stage the girls were on. For the Makuhari Messe concerts (January 2023) it was the Kami Band of the East, so Leda Cygnus and Takayoshi on guitars, BOH with his 6 string bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums ... sadly the cameras didn't catch much (any) of them since the girls were understandably the main focus for the DVD and they were on the small moving stage for most of the concert. 'Headbanger' is about a girl going to her first concert on her 15th birthday, but 15 is significant in Japan as compulsory education also ends, so the girls is realising life will never be the same. She is having to grow up, she will no longer be considered just a child and her first 15 years passed so quickly, so she etching this special night into her heart so she will never forget. There are other versions of 'Headbanger' from special occasions as well. The Legend D concert in December 2012 for Su-metal's own 15th birthday and the Legend 1997 concert in December 2013 celebrating Su-metal's 16th birthday both started with a dance remix version ('Headbanger - Night of 15 Re-Mix'). At concerts on or near their own 15th birthdays in 2014 Yui (in Paris) and Moa (in Cologne) took over lead vocals for 'Headbanger' half way through when Su handed them the mic and stand - she took their place in the choreo. Only fancam videos exist for those performances. In 2019 at the Legend M concert celebrating Moametal's 20th birthday (20 is the official age of majority in Japan) Moa once again took over lead vocals after Su handed her the mic and stand - and the lyrics were changed to "...this special night of my 20th...". Most recently in March this year at the Legend MM concerts celebrating Momometal's 21st birthday we got her version on the day before her 21st (she was not an official member the year before so she did it to mark the last day when she was still 20). You asked for more suggestions - how about their very first time in the UK. Aged 16 and just turned 15, virtually unknown, apart from a video some had seen and assumed they were a joke, they found themselves on the main stage at Sonisphere in front of over 50,000 potentially hostile UK metalheads. They had 25 minutes, just 5 songs, to win the UK crowd over, singing in Japanese. Watch 'Ijime Dame, Zettai' (call it IDZ, it means Bullying, No More, For Ever) live at Sonisphere 2014. It was the last song of the set and you will hear at the end what the crowd thought of them.

Good one, thanks! "Headbanger" or more properly "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" or "ヘドバンギャー! !" (Hedobangyā!!) is about a girl who attends to her first metal concert on the night of her 15th birthday and that causes a great impact on her. That is the age of the end of the compulsory school in Japan so young people have to make some relevant decisions at that point. So this is actually about coming on age and leaving the childhood behind with a hint of nostalgia. Not a biographical theme because this is a pretty early song and Su-metal performed it for the first time when she was only 14. At that young age she whas the one performing at the metal concerts, haha... When they started back in 2010 Suzuka was 12 while Yui and Moa were just 11 years old. Well, they aren't anime rock... they are kawaii metal. 😁 Crowds in Japan are incredible. To the point they even seem choreographed (they aren't). They never sing along the lead singer (that's considered unpolite in Japan) so, the songs have chants and parts designed for the crowd interaction. And that's also one of Moa and Momoko's job. Yes, there is a drummer: Hideki Aoyama and this is the eastern Kami Band playing... although they didn't show them almost in the entire show footage. This is the last time (January 2023) the eastern kamis played with BABYMETAL. There is another set of the Kami Band formed by American musicians. Until next time! 🤘🦊

Wow, that was fast! 🤣 Another great reaction, I like it! Glad that we recommended the right song for you 🙂And thank you very much for the shout out! 🙂 That was a real live concert, the Kami Band wasn´t visible here, but they played live, as well as Su-Metal sang live. There is a little bit of editing for the pro shot video for sure, but the base is pure, live Su-Metal. She is THAT good live! Sometimes she is even better 😉 The shortened mic stand is partly an hommage to Freddy Mercury of Queen. He used such a mic stand quite often and he was a beast of a performer (like Su-Metal, Moametal and Momometal!). In this video you saw a lot more of Moametal, she smiled a lot here, too! But she could be very serious, if needed. She always wears double pony tails. And she is not as tall as Su-Metal and Momometal 😉 The other one with the longer hair (the tallest of the three) is the one who couldn´t help it but smile, her stage name is Momometal. You will see her smile A LOT, even if she´s not supposed to smile😉Momometal is "like the sun, always shining a bright light" (this is a bit of "Momometal" lore). At the concert you reacted to here she hadn´t got a stage name, it was a concert were she still was an "Avenger", a stand-in dancer for Yuimetal (there were three of them, Grington300 told the Avenger story in his comment to your Road of Resistance reaction. Grington300 always posts extremely detailed info about BABYMETAL!). Since April 2023 she is "Momometal", official member of BABYMETAL, in charge of "Scream and Dance". Maybe on some day you will see/hear her taking "Scream" literally (as I think about it... her title should be changed to "Growl and Dance" 🤔) Regarding crowds, the British BABYMETAL crowds are just a little, tiny bit behind the Japanese crowds, The Japanese crowds are God level, British crowds are Boss level. I´m German, but I watched a lot of fan cams, and I own a DVD of the Wembley Arena concert in 2016, there the crowd(s) was phenomenal! Plural, because there was a live transmission to a Japanese crowd watching the Wembley Arena concert via video, and there was a back-transmission of the Japanese crowd to Wembley Arena during the concert! 😄Last year we Germans got some praise from the British, as the Hamburg, Berlin, Cologne and Munichi crowds were indeed fire! I witnessed the Cologne crowd personally, and it was AMAZING! HUGE Wall of Death for Road of Resistance and a lot of bowing to the ladies during "Headbangerrrrr!!!!", for example. Not to forget the HUGE row boat during "Megitsune"🤣 "Munichi" is not a typo... well, it indeed was a typo (on some merch!), but after that typo, the new international and Japanese name of the capital of Bavaria is "Munichi"🤣At least for THE ONE 😉 The bowing... maybe you´ll watch the MV of "Headbangerrrrr!!!!" one day... there Yuimetal and Moametal bow to Su-Metal, the Metal Goddess. So, the crowds do it, too! Yuimetal and Moametal, as well as Momometal nowadays, are the ones doing the crowd work. The crowd follows them. The relation between BABYMETAL and THE ONE is one of fun, love and dedication. We love the ladies, and the ladies love us. The ladies are SO dedicated to what they are doing, that the fans can´t help it but dedicate all they have to the ladies and their craft. And we´re having fun together! With time and after watching a lot more live performances you´ll understand 100%😊As an alternative, you could visit a live concert of them, when they do another world tour. They will go to the UK, too, that´s 1000% for sure! And if you go there, you´ll have the time of your life! BABYMETAL live is a little bit like a spiritual experience. Not too serious (it is notacult!), though😉 I support mltdwn5415´s recommendation, Megitsune live PIA Arena 2023. You could use the one from the "For The Fox God" channel, for example. It is the "Black Night" performance, last time that Momoko (Momometal) performs as an "Avenger". Again, stunning costumes! 😉 The "Miracle of Sonisphere" would be a good choice, too! "Ijime, Dame, Zettai!", Sonisphere 2014. P.S.: I hope you don´t mind the wall of text. I promised that THE ONE will answer your questions, but BABYMETAL is A LOT to learn about!

Returns was probably the worst video for the band in a long time but they weren't hidden at the show. Both Begins and MM featured the band quite a bit more although I am always open to even more. Sometimes I wish they would offer multiple angles on the bluray or use split screen because I also don't want to miss any of the choreo. You just can''t please us Babymetal fans.

@jimnusbaum3589 could show the Kamis on one of the many screens behind them, but I am there to see BabyMetal seeing the Kamis is a bonus 😁🤘🏼🦊

You don't need a watermark to avoid a CW strike. It doesn't affect anything at all. Duh. It makes the video 100% unwatchable. Way to ruin the BM video kid. Unbelievable.
