Although it’s easy on the eyes to watch you, it amazes me how much work you put in preparing for the winter. Your plans for installing a propane fireplace may want to move forward sooner than you planned. You can incorporate a thermostat to the fireplace which will allow you to sleep through the night. This way it will still heat other than the 120v power fan. I would think they would have a built in model that works without power as well. It's my backup heat 34,400 BTU

Hello Lisette, I know you have been moving the woodpiles by hand, but you could use the 4 wheeler just tie up the handle of the cart to the frame or hitch if you have one, especially trying to pull the cart uphill. I love wood heat. Falling, sawing, and splitting but stacking is the downside. A great woodshed helps a lot. Wood heat makes heat when we get it for winter and again when we burn it. I try to stay a year ahead in case of physical infirmities. I am not sure if it affects the ergonomics of pulling/pushing the Gorilla cart, but the handle is installed upside down. Bears can be a pain at times.

Hey Lisette,who doesn’t like a good well stacked pile,something so simple gives you joy,I guess there’s a connection.maybe because it gives heat in the cold nights such a basic human need. Also love the use of the smaller wood as you do see a people who would discard that on burn piles. My view is if you gonna burn it you might as well in your stove,good return on your money spent. 🙏🤓

You harvest firewood for shelter before winter comes. that is hard work of you. you are hard-working. Ontario is a large area there in Canada. My mother's father's father emigrated here from Finland to escape the Second World War to Ontario, Canada and settled there in the Larder lake. small house livehood a near lake and worked in the mines. Getting the wood stacked and done was a lot of hard work. As for the shower they make some nice solid brass faucets that can be worked into the shower controls For your water tank for the shower might have a crack somewhere in the tank or the drain end end has a problem with it. Maybe a couple of plastic 55 gallon drums are in order for the shower For your well pump, have you looked into an attachment for a garden hose to be put on it to pump water through the hose and run a length of where you want the water to go.

Lisette does have some history in Wisconsin I believe, and spent a number of years there. As far as Canadian Women, I have met a few along the way, but what Lisette display's in her daily routines and shows off in her abilities and motivation are extraordinary for not only a women, but any human that wants to distance themselves from the mainstream of todays insanities. I'm content with watching her show us her adventures, accomplishments, and even failures from afar. It helps me escape my world for an hour or two a week, and that is wonderful for me and her fanbase.

HI Lisette, Beautiful start to this video. You captured nature in every video, it's your wilderness, so beautiful! The lovely hill top is close to home? What a view. Putting wood away is a chore but wood heat just feels so good. It is a different kind of heat. You dtack your firewood so neatly, just like Ro does ours. We save all the little pieces and bark too. This stuff Ro puts in large cardboard box separate from our regular kindling. We are blessed, our summer cottage neighbour often volunteers helping bring the wood to our storage shed. It saves my back a lot. Glad to see your well is working. Can you use this wTerfor cooking or drinking? Your garden yield looked good. Our fid better then last year. Good looking produce. Tomatoes look perfect. I had such an abundant harvest last week, more than I could can, so I shared with some folks in my community. My tomatoes had some splits in them from overwatering (Tomatoes are picky critters). We have had two days of rain so no outside chores for now. It is disappointing to have equipment failure but that is all part of living. Pipes leak faucets break but you take things in stride and move on. Keep up the good work and Have a Blessed week!!

Those darn bears are doing bear things. I guess you aren't the only one preparing for winter up there. Just keep plugging along and persevering, and you will be ready before you know it. It doesn't hurt to have the two furry supervisors helping out. Mine is demanding a Sunday morning pup cup from the coffee shop and a drive around the lake.

Great video Lisette at the start with the nature + collecting the wood sad about the water though hope you get it fixed - about the bear If a bear comes close to your home, scare it away. Loud noises like a firm yell, clapping your hands, banging on pots and pans or blowing an air horn sends most bears running find out where its getting in and put some ammonia down Ammonia is known to have a strong scent that can irritate bears, so they strongly dislike The smell that is so overwhelming that bears will likely turn away from your direction as soon as they take a whiff of it. stay safe, good to to see Kimber and Miss Snow getting out take care.

I noticed that when the song said, "backing up," you were backing up the cart of wood to the threshold. Very clever of you~!
