She said her son was a vendor rep for Nike and he had passed away so she was selling a lot of his things that had no sentimental value to her. I bought every pair in my size, 10 pair for $50. I used to collect fakes. There’s two manufacturers based in China that produce near perfect fakes. They even replicate the look of the inside ( the movement ). Although they look perfect the movement eventually breaks. I don’t bother anymore, ended up buying a 20 year old legit explorer II.

Pete was absolutely right about that Rolex because how many people will come into a pawnshop looking to spend $25-30k? If he ended up having to sell online its 20% so there is way too much risk giving the guy his asking price. The dude would get better money if he sold it himself but i get needing quick cash.

I'd dare say he's not selling his $25k Rolex to "make payroll." I can't help but get the feeling he's selling it because he has a drug problem. Like I once did, he hides it fairly well. The calling him an asshole was a sort of ok comment, she was immediately retorting to his jokingly saying he stole it from a motorcycle rider. But because she’s drunk she was already behaving bizarrely. During the first few minutes, it appeared she might’ve been not with the chainsaw video man, and then she glommed onto his shoulder, I thought they were together after all. When the motocross leathers thing ended , and the chainsaw man came back and says he had no idea who she was, things became more than clear. When we are drunk, it’s safe to say, we are the only ones who think we are so clever or amusing. It’s this kind of stuff that reminds me why I don’t like to drink anymore after all.

You’ve never been extremely hard up for cash then and had to resort to a pawn shop. This is every pawn shop across America. Seriously. I worked at one for years everyone’s the same for the most part. They think their stuff is worth retail or way above and have weird tactics to buddy up like it’ll work or distract. It is what it is. Just how humans are when they’re desperate. Not judging them at all we never know what someone’s going through and what they’re willing to do and they aren’t killing anyone just trying to bamboozle a pawn shop owner who looks up sold listings and offers half to double. Is what it is both are trying to rip one another off in different ways. It’s a PAWN SHOP.
