Some of my videos are mostly thought pieces. Things I've observed and that I think about a lot. These are typically thoughts that have surrounded breakthroughs in my own mindset that have resulted in significant progression both in my skills on the bike and for my growing love of the sport.
It's for this reason that I want to share these topics and thoughts, and I hope that they help some of you along the way as well.
Shoutout to my very awesome and very talented friend Heather Carter who shot the image I used to create this thumbnail. Go check her out and give her a follow on Instagram here: / heathercarterphoto

One of the other great mtb channels, hardtail party, put it best in one of his videos, "its ok to like easy trails. We don't always have to send double blacks to prove how manly we are."
Reminds me of the first time I took my buddy to Snowshoe and we rode a "blue", specifically M. He wasn't ready having only rode Bburg and Carvins. He was like, "Wait, that was a blue?" 😂
I'm pretty comfortable on single black and will occasionally ride double blacks to challenge myself but I always find the most fun on blue trails
Good info Rich. Thankjs
Awesome video 👍😎
Like skiing, the what are considered easier runs are often just great fun as you can blast down at speed but well within your skillset 👍
I've just started doing the occasional DH race, and at the same time I'm building a pure blue flow trail in my local woods that I'm happy to ride to it's limit solo.

I'm with you. Solo Blue rips are good for the soul.
All the snowshoe video makes me wish we were there now.

It’s the season! 😎
Surfers try to do the same thing and posture about how gnarly a wave/break is. The truth is a chest-high day with offshore winds and plenty of waves for everyone is the day you never forget. Fun is the key for me. I love green/blue lines that allow you to go fast (Ridgeline in DuPont as an example).

Awesome video brother. How funny I was just experiencing this at Northstar yesterday. Blue flow trails can be really fun.

You got that right!
How long do you reckon before the frame cracks on that Evil?
@bearjewmtb4827

About as long as it takes most bikes to crack especially a Commencal haha
3rd Thumbnail of the day. Here I am thinking I got another 2 videos I can watch. 😢
We need more bluish/blackish trails also 😂. But blue is were its at. Smiles for miles.

I see you on an Evil. I am an ex-Ripmo current Evil Offering owner. Interested in your comparison. I owned a few in between and kinda wonder if the Ripmo is the better bike. I sold the Ripmo when used bikes where selling at top dollar and just simply wanted to try something new.

I really enjoy the Evil's. The Insurgent appealed to me because of the reminiscent feel of the Delta to the DW (No big surprise, and I'm definitely w Weigel fan). I ditched my DH bike last fall, and I've been riding this as my long travel park and shuttle duty rig. It's a ton of fun and fits my needs for that, but if I had to pick one of the two, the Ripmo is still my all-around sweetheart.

I like the bottomless feel and the traction, but I feel the evil lacks the pop of the ibis and Pivot DW link
Is that an Insurgent LS you have on the rack?

@@SemiSendy when are you going to make a video about it? I’ve had the Insurgent V3 since the day it was released. It’s an amazing bike and I’m looking at the LS!

@@ethanrevitch why get the LS? It’s the same as the v3 really. Just UDH and captive washers in the linkage which you can just buy if you really want
