This Two-Minute Morning Practice Will Make Your Day Better
When life events leave you feeling stressed out and anxious, bestselling author Neil Pasricha suggests a simple, 2-minute practice to improve the quality of your days.
00:00 Intro
00:23 Are you suffering from decision fatigue?
00:40 Decide what to focus on each day.
01:00 Clearing negative thoughts can be trickier.
01:35 Writing down what you're grateful for can help ...
02:00 ... but you need to get really specific.
02:35 Also list things you will let go of.

I like to listen to something beautiful every morning. 15 min of a book, a song, a video. Replacing the scrolling of social media is crucial.

Simple notes: write three things done and be specific in the morning. 1. I will focus on 2. I am grateful for 3. I will let go of

I am happy someone is considering taking care of elderly pepole in 'the modern society'
As a therapist I absolutely love this exercise! Breaking down large task into manageable smaller pieces is so much easier to handle and gratitude journals really train the brain to recognize that positive good things do exist in your life. These concepts sound very similar to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Brilliant! As the morning came, I'm going to practice at least 2 of them today!
depending how you write down what you have failed at, sometimes reminds you not to feel sorry for yourself. Because you tend to really observe them and realize how non essential they are or how little impact they have on your life.
It's very beautiful. A very pragmatic set of things to do. Thank you for sharing with the world ❤
Definitely needed this reminder today, and what steps to take. Not sure how KZread knew, but it's very helpful. Thank you Harvard Business Review!
Cool. Thank you. Even better is to start each statement with "I am... " rather than "I will..." because "I am" makes it already so whereas "I will" makes it seem still to come. Just fyi.
I will focus on_ I am grateful for_ I will let go of_
I will focus on ..... , ..... & ..... I am grateful for ..... , ..... & ..... I will let go of leftover ..... , ..... & .....
This is very impactful. It reminds me of the 5 Second Journal by Mel Robbins.

inspiring ideas! I will start practicing it from tomorrow
I am definitely going to try this. ☺if it works I'll definitely suggest it to my students.
Sounds similar to having a quiet time in the morning and praying or practicing reflecting or being a Christian where you pray and think of sins or anything and asking for forgiveness and confessing some of the things that you did to mentors or friends ... very cool thanks

No way it takes only 2 minutes a day ;)
Thit theory itself is controversial , nobody wants to feel upset or seek sadness in their lives but have you ever considered the circumstances surrounding others?! you guys are just way far from being realistic , how about you wake up in the morning and say i'm greatful for not turning someone's life into hell because i want to be financially successful! have you ever thought about that!! I KNOW , Play by your rules and get a small peice of the pie for now then get scrwed later , how many retired people do you know who are actually happy in their lives?! The problem with you people is you think you're gonna live forever and take everything with you if you die , don't give me this crap give me a better life .
I will let go of I am grateful for I will focus on
