That Honda 350 is my vintage. I’m 67 years old and I remember when bikes like that were all over. It should be is a museum or a serious collector’s place where it will always stay it that condition. Congratulations on 100k subscribers! 👏👏👏

@@rickbottoms7838I’ll be 70 in a couple of weeks and I had a 1971 350CL. There were a few other guys in the squadron I was in that had them and we would ride around Maine on the weekends.

This episode is filled with Old School Garage awesomeness. The Ute, the Scrambler, jet skis, a Silver Play Button, Congrats on all this goodness.

I rode it for many years, but then moved on to other toys. Mom gave it away around 2000, when she moved into a retirement village. Our neighbor had a 305 Scrambler (1966 I think). Fun old bikes.

Congratulations Merlin on several things, the Golden Ticket, the beautiful Jetta pickup, the KZread Silver Award which you really deserve, and being able to help out your friend with his 1968 CT350. I tuned those bikes at the local Honda dealer the first year they came out in 1968. They had their problems the first year, clutches were weak, and some even came in new with a motor knock. Honda quickly took care of the situation, and we sold hundreds of them. Vern's is beautiful. I wish him well.

I had one in 77. It was a 74, think it was a CL350. My friend had a CB350. The pipes were lower.

Merlin has fit right in with Paul, Matt, Robbie, and Rory, Chad , and the rest of the crews involved in all of these projects and recoveries.. Even though there is a pretty good distance between them all, they all have each others back. Now I think they can include HeavyDSparks in that group as well. All outstanding people. It all started for me when I got Gold Fever with the Golden Nugget project for Ed. Thanks so much for the great content and also all of the tips and tricks you guys show.Congrats on the award from You Tube, and especially the Golden Ticket. I can't wait to watch all episodes from everyone.

@@brettmoritz3698 Matt does get into enough trouble on his own but you ought to check out Rory Irish pulling his two axle tube frame trailer up and down trails with a Jeep or some other catastrophe on the back, with his dually beast wrecker. Matt says he's the guy that focuses on renters in the sand (and he's good at it!) while Rory drags people out of cracks in the rocks that sane people won't even "walk" up!! A big part of the time I spend watching these guys, I'm asking myself "What the hell possessed them to think going out there was a good idea, anyway!!??" Just remember, if you get 10 miles out past your bad decision, either of these guys can and probably will save your dopey butt and get you back to civilization!! 😂🤣👍

I scrolled through some of the comments but I didn't see one telling you that: You don't need a battery to see if it will run. I ran mine MILES without a battery. If the points, timing, gap are set right and the magneto is working just add some gas to the tank give it a kick and it will run. I really miss mine, especially now that I see that one in such good shape.

I had a 350 Honda twin in an off-road frame many years ago, surprising just how well they go when properly set up, this brought back a flood of memories. And now you know why we Aussies have a love affair with our utes. Thanks Merlin.

I had a $400 TDI Beetle that got 50mpg… I used it to run appliance repair calls and sold it when the injector pump started leaking…. Then I found your channel, and through the past couple of years you’ve given me the courage I could have used to rebuild it. Lol!!

You will find that you will get 2-4 mpg if you install and use a tonnent cover. Get one with metal cross strap to support cover from flapping over box "hole". Had vercro side attachments and tie flaps when use roll cover up.

The car came out friggen awesome but, that Honda, WOW! Beautiful bike. Good score. Sad the previous owner had to give her up but, amazing find.

At 14 I traded a guitar for my first street bike( you know if you can't play a guitar and be cool get a motorcycle) a 70's cb 350 I didn't know much then but I figured things out ,the set screw on the points had been stripped so everytime I shutoff the bike I had to reset the points with a trusty matchbook. Congratulations on getting your silver playbutton and the golden ticket (you definitely had the best ticket montage)

That little victory run at the end was funny !! LOL I think we need to see a foot race between Merlin and Ben, of course with a rest stop or 3 at 50 foot intervals!! haha
