Hells Gate Crash
We got a call from someone who had flopped their XJ on Hells Gate Obstacle on Hells Revenge Trail. We headed out with Ol Blue and Trailmater but when we got to the gas station Trailmater was blowing coolant out so we had Shawn run back and grab Wile E while Mike and I went out to look at the situation. We definitely needed 2 rigs to get the angles for the pull right. After getting rigged up and in place we flipped it back over and pulled it out. After checking all fluids and everything we got it started and they were able to continue on with their day. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

Thank you for not over producing your videos. I very much appreciate you NOT adding unnecessary background music. I have stopped watching other recovery channels for that reason alone. Again, thanks.

With you a 100% on this comment! I routinely skip over sections when the music starts. Last thing I want when I come to a channel about 4-wheeling is annoying mood music. I've unsubscribed from channels and banned them over it.

No yelling, no drama, no BS. Just professionals doing the job. And that's the highest compliment I can pay.
30+ years ago, my younger brother, who is a heavy vehicle mechanic, was sent on a heavy vehicle recovery course run by the Australian Army. One of the tasks involved the task of getting a fully loaded articulated tanker back on its wheels. It was upside down in a giant sand pit. 2 wreckers, one on each side and very careful rigging. Not allowed to damage the vehicle. It had to be partially tipped back, but had to be balanced at a 45% angle for 10 minutes to prove you had total control of the recovery.

30+ year's ago I went through recovery training in the US Army. I found recovery fun for the most part, just depended on the weather, the worse the weather the more dangerous the recovery was...also if people were shooting at you.

I thought I was good at rigging until I started watching Rory. Bow down to the rigging master.
Why in the hell don't you already have 1,000,000 subscribers Rory??? Are people REALLY that stupid? SMDH Seriously, there's LITERALLY nobody else in the business that I'd trust to do some of the recoveries you guys have done. Aerial acrobatics with winches and jeeps. WOW!
Notice the minimal but effective communication between them on the roll over recovery...They know what Rory was doing, Rory knew what they were doing, and most importantly, Rory knows what he's doing.
OUCH !!!!!! “. I’m good. I can count to 10 “. Ha🎉🎉🎉. Keep it up Trailmater !!!!
Great recovery, and Shawn driving up the side and backing down was impressive! Lillie is growing like a weed. Thanks for the video,.
Happy Independence Day To The Trail Mater Crew and there families. Hope you guys had a blast. Thanks Mike for showing us The Rope Trick lol. Thanks for the video guy's can't wait for the next one.
Whily coyote with Shaun at the wheel is a thing of beauty. Really enjoyed the show today

Good recovery. Always a pleasure to watch the team work & make it look easy. The enthusiasm of the people in the U.S. for the 4th of July is so good to see. I do wish us Canadians would take a lesson & be proud of our country. Thanks for sharing.

Amazing how little damage occurred getting that XJ out of it's predicament. This one was not recovered, it was rescued.
Great rescue of that jeep. One wrong turn can put you on your roof. Great car show.
I love it, you already have multiple winches connected and it slips, so what's the answer? Rory: "Hold on a moment while I connect another winch." 👍
That was a treat to watch. Nice teamwork and great direction!

Mike doing the old 'spaniel ears' with a rope. I used to do a bit of climbing too back in the day 😀
OMG. I see where you take your vehicles and I wouldn’t even want to ride with you in most of the places. Shawn that was impressive where you drove the jeep for an anchor point.

Right at the point where Mike was telling Shawn where Rory wanted him to go, I was expecting a 'He wants me to go where?' Nope, Shawn just asks Mike if he can lock the hubs then away he goes. It's too bad that cameras don't do justice to angles, because that was something. This crew is amazing at what they do.
Love it how ya all get down to business
That was the smoothest and softest flip I've seen in ages. The XJ is surprisingly in great shape and can wheel again because of the skill and care given by Rory and the team...nice work folks.
What a team! and a great community turn out on the 4th.
You guys made the recovery look easy and I know it wasn’t! Excellent work! But the kids saying thank you during the parade for the candy, made my day!
Last time you cut a whole in a wall, you did that thing from The Shining lol hilarious.
Rory in my opinion this video gives new meaning to creative winching. Your original plan was to use TrailMater but that changed because of problems so you used willyE instead and was able to safely get it out of there without more damage.
Rory and his team have gone a long way since their beginning. Shawn and Mike compliment a unstoppable force. Rory and his wild use of sophisticated rigging to rescue hapless off-roaders in some of the most precarious places. Amazing.
Thanks Mike for the cord wrap demo, I'm stealing it for mine.
Your care and concern for the customers rig is very admirable.
God bless you rock and I'm so happy that Chris is in the shed nice and cool. God bless you all
"I can still count to 10" - love that line! And all the videos, thanks guys...

Nice technical recovery. Nice teamwork!
The upside down Cherokee recovery is a perfect example of the skill and teamwork Rory, Shawn and Mike use everyday for this kind of work.
“If you need 47’s, they don’t have’em!” Good work, vid, clips, banter, scenery. I miss the Southwest.
Rory the instructions must of been pictorial? And glad you didn’t loose any of your 10 digit calculator.. 😂😂😂😂😂 Another awesome video from the best off road recovery crew, hands down or up..
the banter between you guys is insanely funny! thanks for making the videos, hugs from Belgium.
Great video nice job looking forward to the next one
You Dirty, Me Squirty. LMAO
Love your "dog ear" rope coil. I use that on sailing lines. They don't tangle anymore.
The parade in fast motion might be the most anxiety causing vid clip the channel has ever shown.

I met Shawn and Mike at EJS last year very nice and humble guys.
You great fellas are all, definitely a little below a quarter tank, but that's exactly what we love about you. Real, as real gets!!! I can't wait to meet you all someday. Little Lilly excluded, of course! She's as bright as the sun!!!

Team TrailMater to the Rescue Again😅 Great merchandise shop, looking full of wonderful TrailMater stuff. Oh lord Lilly is getting so tall, best be getting her jeep ready 😊 Excellent Video guy's
Great vid - I can't believe how fast Lilly is growing! I hardly recognized her.
That was a wicked wrenching. Y’all got some serious driving skills. God Bless Y’all 😊
Another cool video, great job. Tire/wheel combo you put on that guy's rig were awesome. Parades are always fun!
Well that was a pretty slick operation.
Enjoy watching y’all do these recoveries 🇺🇸🇺🇸🏁🏁
Making it look too easy!!! You guys should only take Lillys jeep in the next one to make it a longer video, haha. Ol Blue has the power and gear to make all jobs look like child play. And you guy have the experience and knowledge to get thing done with ease. keep up the great work
as a firefighter in central Nebr, we were taught to lace our ropes or stuff them into a bag, we also laced all power cords
One of the finest recoveries I've ever seen. The amount of care and calculation is very impressive. Not many people have the knowledge to do that without a rotator today. You almost did it without a scratch. And the parade with Lilly was the best. Happy belated 4th of July to you guys and your family.
Nice recovery, glad to see you have a merch store with Chris/Kris (not sure of the spelling) looking after it, Happy 4th of July to all and loved the tutorial on rope storage and the banter regarding what it will look like later. Thanks for taking us along.
This has to be your best video. In my career I work with a number of PHD's. I don't think any of them could figure the mathematics you used in this recovery! You should apply for a professor ship at Stanford!!! Thanks much!
🎉 You guys are SO GOOD! You made that recovery LOOK easy! PROFESSIONALS!! 👏👏👏
You called it... I stopped by today to buy a tshirt, and met Erin. I had just seen the Trail Mater headed north on 191... I missed you by less than 10 minutes.
Awesome recovery, learn something new every day from you 3! Chris will make a great addition to the team and keep you guys in line…😂 ummmmm probably not! It’s gonna be another hot one today so keep cool and hydrated.
"Oh that was the problem. Too much traction." LOLOLOL
It’s like watching a perfectly choreographed dance 🤯 smooth as silk 🤘
Freaks me out those recovery vehicles perched on top of big rock and slopes. Something goes wrong and your vehicle has joined the victim. I loved the part where Shawn shows up at the far end of Hell's Revenge and when given a task he asks to have his hubs locked. Jeez, I'm in 4WD leaving the parking lot. :)

First thing I thought when saw upside down Jeep was a Turtle turned on its back, how you got it back on its 4 feet was amazing, You need to have Some "RORY to the Rescue" t shirts and hats
Lol. I have wrapped my cords that way for over 20 years. No one seems to remember how to wrap them up. You guys do a great job! I love to see how you have learned to use the cameras and your videos have gotten better.
Again this video just shows on why this channel is great nothing but real working knowledge of the recovery and how it is done!!!
Daaang you hit me in the head with a Snickers lol.
Great job again.
Oh the adventures Rory gets called on, thumbs up, Great vided
Thank you guys
Awesome recovery. Love the parade. Small towns have the best parades. Loved Mike's octopus wrangling demo. Makes a lot of sense. I hate tangled ropes. Gonna have to try that.
That was certainly some creative and skillful winching! For a minute, it looked like Spiderman had secured that Jeep in place. I gotta say, though - that chainsaw work to put in the A/C was nearly as impressive! Perfect fit!!
I'm glad that "fuel gauge" didn't come out Red! 😅
Love the fuel gauge! Another great video, guys. Thanks!
Just Wow! Another awesome video
Old blue to the rescue Now that's a Awesome looking tow truck with the blower
loved Mike carefully & neatly coiling the extension rope , then Rory says yeah chuck it in the back of truck & we'll see how it looks in a few months
As always another awesome video.
Super cool to stop in and see ALL 3 OF YOU.
Love it Trail Mater
You guys make the very difficult look easy, the impossible just takes a little bit longer!!! Great video, guys!!! Happy belated 4th of July from one of your neighbors to the north, eh!!!
