This is the most articulate, and design-language forward review I've seen yet on KZread. Earned my sub with this one, keep up the great work! On the board itself, I'm on the fence - sound tests I've heard have left me questioning this board vs the rest of the competition for the price.

Really is my current favorite HHKB! Want to rebuild some other configs now and see how I can tune it.

Mode keeps taking what they learn and improves each new board accordingly. They are the best out there. Can’t wait for their next one to appear!

Yeah I agree on the presence and with being able to see the accent. I still love my Envoy, but it's been so long since I've seen my walnut accent.

And it’s funny that on the Eighty for instance where there just isn’t an accent I love the clean, mono-top. But then on Envoy I get the same clean look but feel a little cheated knowing the accent is there, but I don’t get to enjoy it. 😅

Fun fact: beats by dre headphone literally just have a hunk of metal inside them to weight the headphones so they feel more premium. No idea why the correlation between weight and quality exists though (other than weighs more, IS more, perhaps)

I wondered one of two things: 1. Heavier pieces of meat were less fatty and more nutritious. Heavier pieces of fruit were better somehow. 2. It’s more modern than that and is our brains expecting everything to be plastic so heavy metal objects are some sort of rebellion against that.

Thank you for the nice review. Do you prefer linear or tactile switch on this keyboard? And have you tried alu plate as well?

A great review~ Would this be a good contender as your new daily keeb? Or do you still prefer another build you have done?

That's a great question! I was very happily living on it for the two weeks that I daily'd it. Once you have the number of keebs I do picking a daily feels like abandoning your children, hah! That being said it is my favorite HHKB now so in a world where you main an HHKB I think this would be a very solid daily driver and I do plan to build it with some different switches and caps soon to mix it up and keep using it!
