    Had a similar situation. I'm 14 as well, and had a dude slide into my dms. I knew what he want, but I played along trying to act clueless. Until he asked "wanna see something cool?" And I knew it was gonna be a dick pic, I just showed him a picture of the middle finger I saved from Google and sent it to him as my reply. He was mad lmfao. But I educated him anyway since there were apparently a LOT of underaged girls he followed on Instagram. Long story short, I verbally abused him until he left me alone.

Why do you assume and blame me for society's fckin problems just because i explain the difference between understanding and caring , i dont even fathom .

    @LadyGaGa is hot And why exactly do you feel the need to cut half of my sentence when you quote ? Because if you quote the whole sentence your rebutal makes no sense , if " i can understand how some humans become killers " how am i not able to adress the reasons one would be a killer ? Here let me take a shot at what you are doing : " People like you are the problem, people who don't care " about truth , but only want to be right about everything , and be judgmental about anyone that dare oppose you .... making assumption to feel better about their conclusion wihout even asking people to clarify their views , this type of toxic behavior is THE PROBLEM with society ! PS : You should stop being confident about your assumptions .

    The way he treated these girls is exactly the way I was treated by predators at the 14. It’s like there’s some kind of textbook they were all learning from. I was blamed by my parents for the whole thing, and no one stood up for me. My whole life I’ve struggled to view what happened to me as anything other than just suffering the consequences of my actions. Hearing you drag Austin through the mud for nearly identical behavior to my predators and finding out that he was sentenced so harshly is so… validating. This video has done so much to help me genuinely accept what happened wasn’t somehow my fault.

  • @CaseyTyler357

    @CaseyTyler357

    I'm so sorry you went through that. Your parents are wrong. At 14, you were legally and morally incapable of giving informed consent. Nothing that happened was your fault. You were a victim, and only your predator is to blame for taking advantage of a child. I hope you'll be able to grow past this someday and find peace. Stay strong. ❤

  • @Boppercat

    @Boppercat

    I hope you feel better now than you did back then Your parents should’ve listened and you didn’t deserve to go though anything so bad as a predator, it’s never your fault and don’t let the manipulation take your guard down Always stay safe and always tell people if anything happens, I hope you never have to go though anything of the sorts ever again I want you to recover and have a wonderful partner if that’s what you want and know that you can do whatever you want with your life Have a good day and don’t ever let someone do something bad, although it’s not your fault just stay safe because we need to stand together and report these predators! Remember to stick to your guns and never second guess yourself ❤

    I am so sorry this happened to you. I have a 7 year old daughter and this really makes me feel like I need to find ways to protect her. Maybe your parents' reaction is their way to try to avoid the unbearable guilt of admitting that they did not protect you as they should have. Not saying this justifies them, but maybe it can help you to think that deep inside, it is not that they think you did wrong, but rather that they cannot cope with the idea that they did. Unfortunately, we parents are just people, and not all people are moral rocks 😕 And you know what? Ultimately how they feel is not your problem, it is theirs. You did nothing to deserve what happened and that's what you need to stick to.

    As someone who has dealt with depression, to the point of self-harm, and suicidal thoughts, his apology video made me so angry. He was using a mental illness as an EXCUSE. You can’t use depression as an excuse because unless you are out of your mind/unable to determine right from wrong, you have control over your actions. He did these things deliberately and used being depressed as an excuse. I have seen manipulation and he was dripping with it.

    The fact that he went on and on in so much detail pisses me off. It was so drawn out and obvious he was trying really hard to make people feel bad for him. I've had addiction issues and a few mental health issues most of my life. And as a result have been toxic. But you just have to admit you did wrong, feel remorse and move on rather than trying to manipulate others into forgiving you because you were suicidal. It's actually not that uncommon. Sometimes people who lose a parent early, for example, later seek out partners that resemble that parent (in type or personality or both) if it correlates with their sexuality. And normally that's not about "having had a weird relationship with that parent", but just about subconsciously wanting to replace that connection or idealizing the deceased. Normally being the keyword. Obviously, there can be more to it. Either way, I don't find it incredibly far-fetched that his - well, whatever you wanna call that predatory tendency - stems from that incident. It does make a certain degree of "sense". Not an excuse though, obviously. Having those abnormal urges, maybe not, but acting on them instead of seeking out help that's a choice this guy made.

Did he REALLY claim he was in one for one week? Sure thing! 3.) My brother was killed, my father’s mother was killed when he was 4; he was adopted and moved from Germany to Britain, removing him from his whole family… neither of us have asked young children for inappropriate media 🤷‍♂️ that’s no where near close to a reasonable excuse!

His “depression story” is the same story thousands of non-predators have. Parents divorced? ✔️ Father is a disappointment? ✔️ Death of grandfather? ✔️ The only thing he might have on people is the death of his sibling, and I’m sure that took its toll. But it’s not like he’s the only one who’s had a sibling die. And, I’m willing to bet that those who have had this unfortunate scenario play out aren’t predators because of it.

Tucking his arms in , taking on a weak, defensive, submissive appearance In a blue room (passive color, calming) with a picturesque view through the window. The walls, his shirt and the table are all bare so you focus on him. All designed for to engender a sympathetic appearance Seriously, a professional couldn't have staged this shoot better. The last thing she would do is send sexual pictures or videos to anyone. An older boy (16) convinced her friend to send the pictures to him. The boy spread those pictures around. My daughter was absolutely humiliated to the point she refused to go to school. Though the boy didn’t violate the law, he was expelled from the private school as he sent the pictures around at school. After reading the conversation between him and my daughter’s friend, it became clear how easy it can be to manipulate young girls. He praised her and built her up until the ‘ask’ and when she initially refused, he acted as though she was a hater, didn’t like him, and wasn’t his friend. That boy, like this scumbag Austin, are so dangerous. I hope Austin meets some new friends in prison, the kind that would love a soft, feminine ‘man’ to visit.

    Poor girl. One of the many, many reasons I am grateful that social media was not a thing during my adolescence. I cannot begin to imagine the social landmines presented by texting, DMs, twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Tik Tok, and on and on. That boy was/is a sleazeball and what compounds the awfulness of the whole thing is A) there are tons of boys JUST LIKE HIM and they grow into even sleazier, even creepier, even more aggressive men. And B) her fellow girls *SHOULD* have stood by her, uplifted her....and I am sure she has friends who did...but i have no doubt that there were toxic little gossips who were horrible to and about her. Teenage girls can be absolute monsters when it comes to judging, name calling, insulting, and demeaning fellow teenage girls. I am so sorry your baby girl has to endure this. At her age, she doesn't have the age and wisdom and life experience to understand that this will blow over and her life will continue. As a teen girl, embarrasments, heartbreaks, and betrayals hurt so much because it's the first time they're experiencing them, and it really does feel like "your life is over". I don't know what her school situation is, though with the pandemic, it's my understanding that all schools are online only. Hopefully all of this will pass quickly. Hopefully she has a few true friends who support her, uplift her, and understand her pain. She will likely carry scars from this for years to come, and that breaks my heart. I hope she is able to frame it as a learning experience- to guard herself a bit more, both physically and emotionally. It's a shame that we have to guard ourselves so much, but as a grown woman old enough to be her mom, my heart breaks for her. Praying she finds strength, courage, and wisdom from this awful thing.

    I remember seeing him a few times outside of venues of the artists he would cover. One instance that's very clear in my mind was the following: A few bands that I liked were going to tour together. I went to their show in the city and when I was leaving the venue with my aunt, she pointed out a small crowd forming by the outskirts of the venue. It was a bunch of fans from his own music and from the bands that had just finished performing. She asked if he was one of the artists who performed and I told her he was a guy who made covers of the bands we just saw. The alarming thing we both noticed was that almost all of these fans were underage girls. He was taking pictures with them and hugging them while asking if anyone wanted to hang out with him. He was well over the age of 18 at this point, so I grabbed my aunt and ran to the valet to get our car immediately. On our way back home, we both couldn't put into words how uncomfortable we felt with what we saw. Unfortunately, I would then find out he would just stand outside of venues to meet his fans or go to popular places in the burbs of the city in hopes that someone would share his location to later on get his fans to flock to those places. It scares me to think that he would place himself in these areas to "meet" more fans. I hope we can stop more people like him, especially in this specific music scene.

    Jones's defense in court was that he was a victim of sexual assault himself. And the judge was like "Then you had the understanding to not commit the crime" LMAO good to know the judge saw through the manipulation EDIT 6 months later: Okay so I've been getting replies about the fact that sexual assault victims often continue the cycle themselves. That's just the thing: it's a cycle. If they are aware of the cycle, then they know it is wrong and that they shouldn't continue it. If they are unaware/think that sexual abuse is not wrong, then yes, that is a mitigating circumstance. Austin is the first instance. He knew what he was doing was wrong, and he loved it. He was just trying to gain sympathy points to manipulate the judge into giving him a lighter sentence.

I got pulled into a trap like this when I was younger and my parents had taught me how to stay safe on the internet. The only reason he got caught is because he got too cocky about who he wanted to groom. If he had picked the "right" (as in the vulnerable people he wanted) girls he would have never been caught.

    lol y’all missed the entire point of this comment i’m not saying back then his behavior was justified i’m saying the internet nowadays has a tendency to hear something awful and actually act on it & hold creators with a platform accountable- something that is far different from how it was then. edit: as in the PEOPLE on the internet, not the large corporations (who technically have the power to remove them which they never will and that’s an actual issue) act on it. when videos and evidence came up about shane dawson, the overwhelming majority of people dropped him and refuse to support him (as they should), onision does NOT get the views he used to get because people have recognized his predatory behavior and purposefully stopped supporting him. all of this man’s fans CONTINUED to support him after all this came out, whereas today people hear about tony lopez (i think that’s his name) on tiktok and openly blast him and bring what he’s done to light because he’s predatory and that’s the internet culture we’ve created. :/ can you guys stop arguing with me now i was trying to make a lighthearted joke and now people have just been telling me i don’t understand anything about predators i know predators are still out there!! i’m saying if popular creators are abusing their platform to pressure minors into doing sexual favors for them nowadays... people won’t just turn a blind eye as they’ve done in the past

    I worked with Austin at an Amazon warehouse for about 4 months while he was on house arrest and his parole officer said it was okay for him to work as long as he goes straight there and straight back home. This was before his trial. When I met him I had absolutely no idea who he was, didn't recognize him or is name. We actually had a really friendly relationship that grew in the months that we worked there. I noticed he had an ankle bracelet but I never asked about it until one day when we were on break he told me who he was and how he got it. He downplayed the situation so much that I thought it was crazy that he was facing years in prison, but when I got back home and looked him up I was appalled. On the surface he seems like a genuinely kind person, just with a rough past that resurfaced in the wrong way. We bonded because we both have a rough past, but the difference is how you handle it. You can use it to grow and become stronger, or you can project it onto others and become a monster. Crazy that I spent months with the guy

    People who are so used to manipulative behavior try and pass lies knowing that people for the most part are garbage at spotting liars. The horrific things he talked about in his past life was likely just a complete fabrication because someone who is willing to sexually manipulate a 14 year old has no sense of morality, and won't think twice about liar about awful stuff.

    His dad is dead. His mom is very much alive and a very wonderful lady. His brothers are very nice too. He, however, is a pos. He was always such a "ladies man" in high school, and it is sickening that I know so many girls who had crushes on him in high school. I wish that I have never met him or went to the same high school as him.
