Great explanation. As someone who definitely jacked around too long in the prologue the first time I tried this a few weeks back and let my main game autosaves scroll off the page, PLEASE make sure you're tracking them as you do this. Once you make that hard save under Hyrule Castle in the new game you are completely relying on Autosaves to access your main game. If you spend too much time in the new game, it will create enough Autosaves to push your main game off the page and you're toast.

It's good to know the glitch exists within the launch version, now if I format my console or lose my save file I'm somewhat secured.

This was the only tutorial that worked for me! I had trouble finding the Msg Not Found when I went back in the shrine even though I followed all the steps and placement almost exactly. I was probably doing a step wrong somewhere though. After a bunch of tries, I reloaded the manual save beneath the castle and tried dropped the MNF where the smuggled weapon originally loaded in under the second archway. After doing that and loading the shrine save, the MNF was in the same spot it was in this video.

I got it, despite having the chest already opened, but was much harder to find a position were link doesn't slide of the chest

I got the weapon to transfer back to under the castle, but trying to get the MsgNotFound Sword to transfer back to the shrine took a few tries. I think it kept appearing in the wall and I could not get it. So I took a couple steps up from where you were, and tried there. This time the MsgNotFound Sword was waiting for me in the Shrine and I could get it.

My game updated but because I've got the physical version I'll try this on another play through great guide liked and subscribed 👍

I'm glad I got the MsgNotFound before the patch update which I forgot to turn off updates for.

This is amazing! How on earth did you figure this out? Everything from going up to the wall, fusing the chest onto the boulder, go into the exact position and the prologue, etc.?

if ur playing on yuzu go to 30fps if ur on 60fps that change EVERYTHING. Its kinda if ur on 60fps the ++ thing is to fast for the glitch.

I just started this game so I’m on 1.0.0 with auto updates off and I cannot get this to work
