The fact Ford have pledged to continue making the V8 Mustang while competitors are ceasing production of such vehicles, is reason enough to give Ford your business henceforth. 👏 to Ford!

You're so right Bill, I feel the same way about the electric cars. All of my friends rant about how incredibly fast they are off the line but I couldn't care less about that. I've never been much of a Ford guy but man.. as I've been watching all of my favorite cars get phased out and replaced I've really come to respect the Mustang. What a great sound! Love that thing.

Agree... somehow, the Mustang stayed authentic, when GM and Chrysler products seems so gimmicky.... this is from a letter series Chrysler 300 guy who still believes the ultimate big block combination is a mid 60'd HP 440, with early 60's long reach Ram inductoon as a highway hell raiser.

Oh, for crying out loud you’re really exaggerating about that car being suitable for ‘family use’. The backseat won’t hold anybody over 5 feet tall, and they will still be miserable. And the contortions to get in and out of the seat are really interesting too. And good luck getting a child car seat back there. I think the power of this thing has clouded your mind. I had a 2020 Mustang convertible, and everybody screamed and cried about having to ride in the backseat. It was basically useless unless you also had a short person in the front. It’s a cool car for sure, but there’s a reason why they sell in such tiny numbers, and I don’t see you writing a check for one either. 😜

I get what you are saying but there are thousands of great (used) cars we can enjoy. They are not the future so it is more than understandable that big n/a engines will no longer be produced. You’re absolutely right Bill. This Shelby 350 and the 350R will be highly collectible. There just isn’t any question. The Supercharger will be treated like a period correct modification and it will not hurt the value at all. In the meantime, you have a really fun ride in a way that a stock Shelby 350 cannot match. It obviously tickled your fancy. Haven’t heard you laugh so hard before. Which reminds me, I better get out in my supercharged 650 hp GT this evening before winter sets in for good. It has never been out in the snow and it never will be. That’s why after 11 years, it still looks and drives like a brand new car. I’ve upgraded the suspension to a degree that it handles like crazy, even with a solid rear axle. Nice Bilstein HD mono body shocks, Steeda lowering springs, Whiteline anti-sway bars and Watts linkage have transformed its handling. Just need to find an even better set of lower control arms to tame wheel hop. Hopefully something that doesn’t require greasing.

I was born in 1957, which was really peak America.. I have zero yearning for an electric car. Those just do not do it for me.. This is a great example, this Mustang, but I wish PONTIAC were still around.. I'd like to see what the Pontiac team would have been offering these last 10 or 15 years.. Oh well.. Take care Bill.

@@egold2071 Don't be so sure. Although we were all bummed at the national 55 MPH speed limit and suddenly expensive gasoline, we still had decades of great automobiles in front of us. 1973 saw the introduction of the TRANS AM with the 455 SD Super Duty engine, a full on race engine straight from the factory. I had the 1974 version, the final year of production.. Plus the music that era was MUCH BETTER.. And the nation hadn't yet gone insane politically. Plus there were truly outstanding examples of some of the amazing cars from the '60s and '50s available everywhere, often dirt cheap. I'd trade now for 1973 in a New York second.

After 53 seconds, I guess the thing just guzzled like a frat boy doing a kegstand.

"Chevy guy, Ford guy, it really doesn't matter. Bill is so right when he says that. I am a GM fan. I love Ford, but I've preferred the Camaro and Firebird every model year until this current shape of Mustang. I think it's stunning, and Ford has given us in the UK a factory RHD Mustang for the very first time, with the option of a V8 if you want it. It's actually quite popular over here. If I had more money I seriously consider buying one. If this Mustang is out-living the Camaro and Challenger then it is spiritually in line with the second generation Trans Am and Formula keeping big V8s and as big horsepower ratings as were possible.

Love the video Bill!! I’m one of those old school muscle car guys (age 61) and will always be a fossil fuel guy. Have a couple of older Vettes and drive aCTS-V. There may be a plot twist here with electric cars. EV’s aren’t as popular as thought. Current administration is pushing this on us but the buyers are not thrilled with EV’s. Maybe we will have a reversal as EV’s profitability falls and the infrastructure isn’t there for charging. Car companies may then have to return to fossil fuel powered cars to sell and return to profitability. Happy to Ford continuing the Mustang!! Love the sound of this beast!!

I hope so, the e car push is part of agenda 2030 net zero* bullshit (i noticed bill put that bitches face in this video, also should of added schwab), married with central bank digital currency and its programmability for when where and what you can spend it on, open borders, one world govt, all new world order stuff coming out of the EU. Someone's electric car centrally turned off by bureaucrats reminds me of Orwellian dystopia. Stay as much old school (and its freedom) as you can because it may never come back once gone. I think the three big things that will eventually, give it 10 or so years (but i hope not) coerce (like zombies) most people into all this nwo bs is climate change propaganda fear from the left*; price (internal combustion engines and assoc fuel priced out of the market vs govt subsidised affordable e cars and power); and marketing (convenience as a the sales pitch). * ask a hard core greenie lying down on the road in front of a semi what % is CO2 in the atmosphere (it's 0.04%), and of that small amount what's the breakdown of man made vs natural and they wouldn't be able to tell you, because if they could tell you they wouldn't be lying down on the road. How the f can man be contributing to climate change to the extreme level they catastrophize (measured as CO2 in atmosphere) when he only contributes something like 0.2% to the total vs natural (from decaying veg, volcanism) being 99.8%. All towards a gas that only makes up 0.04% of the total atmosphere compared to the mains like oxygen and nitrogen. If we all went back to horse and cart tomorrow the climate would stay as has been with its normal weather cycles like has been for hundreds of years between the glacials and interglacials that occur every few thousands of years. I think the climate agenda thing is more a political agenda than controlling the weather like they seem to think they can do like political weather gods by changing modes of transport. It's the old thing, they sometimes create a "problem" and then come in with their "fix" for that so called "problem" as a form of power. But like you said, the market may have other ideas, in the end the market directs where it goes, political parties can only do so much for the term they're in for despite the shit load of cash (tax revenue) they throw at something.

The key to that GT350 and whether it’s a diamond or a lemon is the Voodoo V8 and the quality of the supercharger installation since the only available Voodoo blower are aftermarket. It’s a phenomenal car, especially the R version and 2020 and newer in particular due to revised steering geometry. Otherwise, ownership can be a scary proposition due to resonance issues that literally shake things apart - like backing off early oil filters and causing engines to seize. A supercharged Coyote can be a relatively safe bet. Not so much the GT350, but the reward is oh so sweet.
