It's hard to move beyond Cagney's and Le Bistro. I seem to gravitate toward them each cruise! I got to Platinum January of this year! As a now solo cruiser, just go to the lounge and meet and greets and find folks to share the coupons with! That's a great trip! Thanks.

Hi Warren 👋 we all have our favourites! I find it hard sometimes to push myself to try some of the new options, but I’ve been pretty happy when I do. I really liked Food Republic and Onda. Do you have any upcoming cruises planned? (Also congratulations on your Platinum status, feels good doesn’t it 🥳🎉)

We are Sapphire. Not much different than Platinum. An additional 5 percent off of shore excursions. .... I wish they would bring back the " insider tour" of the ship..... We get a bag of laundry each, which is good on longer trips.... The Specialty dining perks are enjoyable, but not much changed. ... Our travel agent gives free gratuities from time to time, which has real value. Going Lisbon to Miami on The Sun, in March.... Thanx for your work...

Hi, Grant. Love your videos. We just did an 11-day cruise on Norwegian Gem (our second trip on that ship, we love it). We had great meals everywhere, including in La Cucina which I feel is underrated.

Someone should make a Romantic comedy of 2 solo travelers on a cruise. The man and the woman are solo travelers looking for a coupon dinner buddy and that is how they meet. And during the 4 dinners they have (and some other activities such a shows, dancing etc) they fall in love by the end of the cruise. If I was CEO of NCL I would want such a film to be made on a NCL ship.

I just made platinum. I am looking forward to my New Year NCL on Prima leaving Galveston TX. Thank you for this video.

Hi Grant! I'll be onboard the Gem in a little over 2 weeks. This is only my 2nd Norwegian cruise so I'm a ways away from Platinum (I'll get to Silver after this one), but I have 4 Specialty dining this trip and have already booked Cagney's twice, Teppanyaki, and La Cucina.

We prefer Le Bisto over La Cucina but they are all good. Have not tried Ocean Blue (it was full on our last cruise)

I'm going on my second NCL cruise this Saturday! Still Bronze status, even after this one, but it'll be nice to start moving up the ladder soon! I really enjoyed Teppanyaki on my first cruise with them and will be trying Cagney's on this one 🙂

@@CruisewithGrant Cruise was great! Was surprised with two free specialty dining credits for two people. Sadly, Cagney’s was a let down. My ribeye was so fatty it made me nauseous & I couldn’t finish my food. The lobster bisque was also way too salty. My boyfriend loved his food though, so I think I just got unlucky. Slowly trying all the specialty spots! Still love NCL regardless 😊

Hi Grant! Thanks for sharing the update. Excited to try out a few of the specialty restaurants on my cruise in November. Cagney's, La Cucina, and Ocean Blu are at the top of my try list.

One day I hope to get to cruise on the Prima and try Palomar, I hear it's delicious! (Also the bread they serve at Ocean blue is so yummy, I must have asked for 3 baskets)

These coupons are "per cabin" not per person so two platinum members sailing together would only get two coupons total, not four. Love your channel!!!

I really like this change to the Latitudes program. Would also like some advise from you - we have 5 upcoming cruise credits we are intending to use a few in 2024. Any thoughts and recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Sell them. Norwegian is longer guest friendly. They raised fees cut services and down play all the themed parties. A once awesome cruise line is now substandard. Also get used to waiting in the bar line for well over 20 minutes.

Going on a B2B in April. Will be Sapphire after the first. Not a lot of changes though. I went on Dec 22 and Feb 23 and this sp dinning was that way. NCL has also changed the way the hand out the Free At Sea sp dinning. They took away 1 free on most cruises on 5 or 7 and above I think. I know on 14 day cruises you use to get 3 and on 7 days you use to get 2. Now it’s 2/1. Also NCL is giving 3 points per night on cruises in 2023 (I think) and no word on 2024. As of now it still says 1 per. And just a side note. Make sure to let your followers know Latitudes point are per person. Each person in the same cabin needs to register to get their own points for the Latitudes Program with some perks earning per cabin and some being per person like sp dinner. My be info for you next video.

Does NCL ever have a "Status Match" for their Latitude program? We typically sail Celebrity so if they would match status this would be a big + for us in trying NCL

I am new to NCL so I am only Bronze. I have one free specialty dinner for my Oct. 2023 Alaska cruise. Is it worth it to pay to upgrade and add another specialty dinner?

Hi there 👋 thanks for the question! If you’re wanting to try more specialty dining the upgrade offer is cheaper than purchasing the dining packages separately. For me it depends on if there’s a place you want to try and also your cruise itinerary, if it’s a shorter cruise with lots of ports it may feel too much. Usually one or two dinners seems right for me on a week long cruise, a longer cruise I’d go for more as I’d also double up on some of my favourites. Hope this helps! ☺️☺️☺️

Coupons can not be used at Tepanyaki. I recently was on the Epic. Reservations were not available beforehand. Once on the ship all specialty dining was sold out. Norwegian is making very bad decisions across the board. I’m also a platinum lever cruiser on NCL. The last cruise was my last on Norwegian.
