@@derrapha2.049 No hun, definitely 7 complete octaves plus 2 tones in the 8th octave. Octaves are only counted by the full 8 notes, so sadly a couple of tones don't count, however 7 full octaves is one hell of an achievement, especially since this amazing guy can do it so perfectly/effortlessly! Knowing what a perfectionist our Dimash is I have no doubt that he will continue to work on that upper range, just as has done for the lower range. Since he often growls to us 'Ascolta la Voce,' we promise that we will always obey and 'Listen to the Voice' for as long as he shares it with us!!! Hugs from UK 🥰😍💘xxx

Dimash wasn’t just born with this talent, he has worked very hard, and trained for 6-8 hours every day from the age of 5. He holds master degrees in both contemporary and classical music and has or will complete his PhD in composition. He holds a Black Belt in Karate (his hero is Jackie Chan), he sings in dozens of languages, can act, can dance, and plays 9 instruments. With all amazing accomplishments he stays humble, sincere, loves his family, and is a spokesman for world peace, loves children, and to top it all off is a humanitarian donating to charities. Few clarifications: opera was his college major, contemporary and jazz - his bachelor from University of Arts, masters in composition and now he is working on his PhD in musicology (and one year in NY Film School - LA campus - is included in his studies). I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I have never heard a better singer than Dimash in my life. He is not from this world, I swear.

He swims underwater to increase his lung capacity. I'd recommend Sinful Passion, Love is like a Dream (make sure to watch to end), or Love of Tired Swans. He has English songs.. Hello, My Heart will go on, The Show will go on, Screaming... But I prefer his foreign songs. You spoke about natural talent. Dimash has been Classically trained since age 5. But there is a S Korean guy (in group Forestella), who was a Research Chemist, singing in a Rock band at weekends. Kang Hyung-Ho had NO vocal training prior to the show which created Forestella. I'll get the link for him singing Phantom of the Opera. Just jaw dropping anyone can have his range (not as large as Dimash, but very impressive BECAUSE he'd had no vocal training to that point). Dimash is one of the greatest singers of all time! Rolling Stone should have featured him on their list of the 200 greatest singers of all time. His range is out of this world! His dynamic range is angelic. I love the soft, whispery tones at the beginning of this song. I’m so grateful to Kazakhstan for giving the world such an extraordinary singer as Dimash Qudaibergen! There are CC's on the Slavic Bazaar performance. Yes the Slavic Bazaar is in Belarus. Its a competition for the Slavic countries but other countries also participate. Dimash won the Slavic Bazaar in 2015. he was there performing as a guest in 2018. He also performed there in 2021 and was also one of the judges. His vocal talent is pretty mind blowing. This performance was from 2018. You can watch an earlier 2017 performance also live, in China, that made him an overnight superstar. S.O.S. is a French song from a 70s musical, very hard to sing. He owns it! And is the gateway song into the realm of Dimash Qudaibergen. These earlier renditions are more operatic in style. In 2019, a tragedy struck him personally, when his friend, an olympic class skater from Kazakhstan who used Dimash's S.O.S. song in his routine, was murdered during a street robbery. Since 2019 he had dedicated the song to his slain friend and has changed the version with more emotion, less operatic. You can see the personal passion when he sings it. As the French lyrics do mention death and despair. Clearly evident in his 2021 performance for his Digital Show during the Pandemic.

In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1 (B0) - whistle D8 off the piano). That means he hits notes in almost 8 octaves and sings consistently in 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly😅). At least what he has shown us so far. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He has his own company „DimashAli Creative Center“ and is managed by his father Kanat. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art1, you realize your so wrong. He said in an interview he trains every day at least 3 hours and he swims under water very often to increase his lung capacity. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. He sang this song as a guest at the Slavic Bazaar in Belarus 2018. It’s an International Festival of Arts and a contest for young singers, which he won in 2015. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different.
