Remember when you wanted to hear Zestial sing more? Asmodeus (Ozzie) has the same VA! Also, please don’t feel bad about not knowing the context of Just look my way, the way I see it, it’s brought so many people to this absolutely amazing show, even if they didn’t know the context either, it made you and many of them check it out and most likely fall in love with the series. How could that be a bad thing? (btw, notice how Blitz erased himself from all the pictures on his walls?)

7:50 if you didn't realize, that's the actual Fizzarolli. The one they killed in episode 2 was a robot replica of him. The real one (although has robot arms) is a true imp

There's also the fact that Blizo himself doesn't seem to actually want Stolas at any real point. He wants to be in Moxxie and Millie's relationship, and he simply, absolutely cannot, and he refuses to acknowledge it. (I'm starting to be kind of sad he didn't wind up with Fizz as a teen. It would have saved a lot of trouble; they would at least have been able to talk frankly to each other, having been childhood friends. But obviously it's far too late for that to be endgame.) These men need to TALK TO EACH OTHER. HONESTLY and PROPERLY. Fingers crossed for an eventual happy ending for all.

@@jupi3832 I think he does know Stolas likes him but I think he's trying to push him away as both a test, protection, and as self sabotage. Like I don't think he didn't show up at the hospital because he didn't care. I think he feels so much overwhelming guilt about it because he pushed it off and didn't help save him. It's obvious by his reaction that he has this idealized idea of Stolas (very very common for people like him to do) and didn't know he could actually get hurt. So I think he didn't go both in a weird way to punish himself and to protect Stolas from him. I don't think it was to try to hurt Stolas. I think he desperately wants to be with Stolas and to love him but because of his unhealed mental trauma he doesn't know how or if he can. He's probably afraid he'll hurt Stolas more so it's better (in his head) to push him away instead of risking by being rejected himself and hurting Stolas worse by saying he loves him then doing a blitzø move. It's so tragic and sadly not super uncommon to see. It's one reason I love this series. 🖤

All things considered, Asmodeus was quite a gracious host. He could have *wrecked* Millie and Moxxie without a sweat after Millie assaulted his staff, yet he politely asked them to sod off. Quite a gentleman.

Imagine ending on blitz sobbing on the couch getting your heart broken and then having to wait like 9 months for the next episode. It was worth it always is but damn that was torture 😅

Those tables for sure were not singles.

That last photo on his phone was indeed his mom and his sister. You'll find out more about them in season 2 (mostly episodes 5 and 6). It says "final" because episode 8 didn't come out until much later -- after season 2 was already a few episodes in -- because of production and legal issues.

The finale was broken up into two parts, but because of legal drama, s1e8 was delayed considerably. Fortunately it wasn't a story progression episode, as s2e1 will pick up where s1e7 left off, so they went ahead and started season 2 before s1e8 aired. But still, the two parts do go well together.

Don’t apologise for getting here through the song. It gives you a unique perspective and I think that is fun. I personally really like that you found this show in an other way than most people. It is fun to watch you start realising what is happening in the song more and more as you watch the series. It would be fun if you reacted to the song again after you are caught up on the episodes and watch it lore wise instead of music wise this time.

Stolas wouldn't do anything because Asmodeus is both a king in the Ars Goetia ,while Stolas is a prince, and Asmodeus is the Prince of Lust, aka Sin of Lust. The Seven Deadly Sins are the highest ranked beings in Hell below Charlie, Lilith, and Lucifer, who is also the Prince of Pride, so either way, Asmodeus outranks and probably out powers him. Also, that was his mom and sister. Female imps have black horns with thin white stripes and black hair, and male imps have half black half white horns and white hair, so if you see any imps with those qualities but look like the opposite gender they're most likely Transgender which is awesome to see how many are in an episode, the best example my wifu Sallie May, being a trans woman, and voiced by a trans woman who is equally as beautiful as her character

I think it’s a testament to the quality of both _Helluva Boss_ and _Hazbin Hotel_ that you stumbled onto this universe through a single musical number and, even without the context, you fell in love with it enough to want to see _more._ It's been a delight watching you go through both shows one episode at a time, and I'm definitely here for your initial reactions to Season 2 of _Helluva Boss._ I would like to stress, though, that you should _definitely_ save your initial reactions to the _songs_ for those videos, and not watch them separately -- as you've surely noticed by now, Viv and her team use their musical numbers to help tell the story and develop the characters, so you'd actually be doing yourself a _disservice_ by watching the songs on their own. ("Look My Way" is beautiful on its own, but as you can see now that you've seen Stolas and gotten a sense of what he's going through, it builds on and gives voice to the emotions weighing on his heart -- it's _better_ when you have the full story, and that's equally true for a lot of the best songs in the episodes to come.)

The 2nd half of this episode took FOREVER to come out for some legal reasons. Most of us got to see season 2 before this episode resolved. So glad you get to see it in order. :D

dude as a fan of this show since the beginning, I can say for myself that it doesn't matter what got you into it. If it was fan songs or official ones, I'm just glad to see more people finding these amazing indie shows. Super happy you have been enjoying the show and universe dude! Also a cool thing about imps is you can tell who is/was a boy or girl imp by their horns. Blitz and Moxxie have thick black and white stripes, while imps like Millie have black horns with thin white rings.

One cool feature of the imps is the color of their horns: guy imp horns are white and black striped and lady imps are black with thin stripes. Pretty cool detail in this show

Well now you have the context! I believe the fan song that became canonized--'Just Look My Way' came out either shortly before this or after it. The music for it changed a few of the lyrics to match up to the current timeline, but I think it's safe to say you have a good amount of the context now. c:

Episode 8 has a complicated history. It was released a year and a half after episode 7 and well after season 2 had already started releasing episodes. There were legal issues with its release involving a guest VA that took that long to reconcile. While episode 7 was "technically" the finale and episode 8 was intended as more of a celebration of a completed season, looking back on it I think there's some really important context from episode 8 that would've cleared up some of the critiques from early season 2 episodes.

This episode is amazing and heart breaking. I just want them to be happy!

even if you kinda seen it play out backwards, i imagine you still see the juxtaposition. Blitz being so inside his head that he is scared to be vulnerable, he is his own worst critic, and he hides behind an Asshole persona so that they can never proven him right about himself while Stolas is a bleeding heart, Trampled over emotionally by his family, wants something real, but is scared that his need for something real, is making him see something that isn't there

Can't wait to see his reaction to Queen Bee

First of all: If Look my way got into this show then more power to it! See, the thing is, I watched a lot of people react to that,but you are one of the few that I actually _followed_ because of that and wanting to see more. So don't feel bad❤ But also, take a look at the pictures in Blitz's House: Picture of him with all the people he cares about - with him crossed out. Blitzo has some deep Trauma of being abandoned and not being good enough, as we already saw in Truth Seekers. He wants a relationship, but he A) sees himself as unworthy, so begins to selfsabotage (people speculate that is what happened between him and Verosika, because her Tatoo of him and the Photos give you the impression that she actually _liked_ him) and B) as being the cause of misery in peoples life, which trhough the selfsabotage becomes a selffulfilling prophecy, streghtening his belief that he is unlovable and can only bring bad luck. And my heart goes out to Stolas, but he too has his issues. For him it is just his naivete. He is a Prince, grown up in a palace, never had to worry about anything in his life (on a material scale) plus, his life was pretty much arranged for him, without much input from himself. He was complacent until he meets Blitz. This Relationship feels like breking a Taboo, like something scandalous and daring and exciting for him. He never thinks about the fact that Blitz _can't trust him._ Because Stolas doesn't realize that while for him, the consequences of people finding out might be social dissaproval, for Blitz, it could easily be death. No one would bat an eye if Stella had decided to tear Blitz apart, or hell, in Blitz' eyes, Stolas could just one day decide he is bored of him and either 'just' throw him out with nothing or kill him (yes, we know that isn't Stolas Character, but Blitz can't trust that when his life is on the line) So Stolas is really using Blitz for his own means as much as Blitz is using him. As theire Relationship stands right now, it cannot help but break. But who knows, maybe ou two lovable ididots will get their shit together... one can only hope

This is the turning point of the context leading up to "Just Look My Way", so you're well on your way to catching up! 19:04 This episode was actually part 1 of the season finale. Part 2 (episode 8) was held up for a long time due to certain copyright issues, but it did release last year, so you're able to watch it right after in intended order.

The pictures on blitz phone are in order cuddling with stolias, his time at the circus, his former bestie fiz, adopting luna, Veronika, and the picture that destroys him is a family photo with his twin sister barbie and mother(implied to have died). Blitz fears dying alone and has major intimacy issues.

I would adore you getting to the end of the current episodes of helluva, and then reacting to your own first take of look my way and a new reaction to it as well :D

Episode 7 and 8 used to be one episode. It was split in half due to legal issues and released later.

Since the start Helluva Boss has been ramping up in emotion, slowly at first, but when ep 6 dropped we got to see a serious side to Blitz for the first time. Thats when I knew this was going to go down a huge rabbit hole. They opened the emotional floodgates with this episode. Welcome to the emotional turmoil we all feel that lead to "Look my way". Also to add, the voice actor who plays Zestial in Hazbin Hotel that you liked is the voice actor of Ozzie! He comes back too so it will be fun! Its ok you jumped in on the song. Yeah it would have been ideal you start from the beginning, but we can't always do that. I am just happy your enjoying the show!

there's also ep 8 in Helluva Boss season 1, which is actually the last episode of season 1. that's when you will also meet another deadly sin.

Also it's hardly your fault you got tossed headfirst into the fandom! You didn't know! And honestly I loved your breakdowns of Bryce's voice (and his excellent command of it)

The pictures he browsed through included: Stolas, Moxxie and Millie, Loona, Verosika, Fizzarolli and lastly his family. That's basically all the people he cares about, it was his first time seeing the real Fizz in a long time and it probably brought back some memories.

The reason why Stolas didn't antagonize Asmodeus is because Asmodeus is one of the Seven Deadly Sins, they rank the highest in hell's hirachy. Asmodeus is the Sin of Lust while Lucifer from Hazbin is the Sin of Pride. During Helluva Boss you also come to know the Sin of Gluttony (Beelzebub, in the next episode actually) as well as the Sin of Greed (Mammon, during season 2). Needless to say it was always really hype when one of the Seven Deadly Sins got revealed ^^

Poor stolas 😢 he's so bluddy polite at the end there 😢 don't feel bad. Look my way is an amazing song 🤩

Millie is ALWAYS ready to step up for HER BOYS! Stolas really needs to start taking notes from our little queen.

Those people in the final photo are his mom and his twin sister, yes! I'm so happy you get to enjoy how the show gets deeper and we start to see the character development. Stolas and Blitz's relationship is complicated but they do have feelings for each other; sadly they're both depressed and have a lot of baggage, and Blitz especially pushes everyone away because he doesn't feel he's worthy of love despite craving it desperately. Stolas has his own issues too and you'll see it in the next episodes. I'm rooting for them and I want them to be happy together!

I think it’s great you’re getting a Sir Pentious tattoo! He is such a fun sweet character. I actually plan on getting a tattoo of Alastor and one of Fizzaroli ❤ those are my top favorites. And for real no need to feel bad, because however it happened, you found the shows and you’re into it. That’s awesome. I found out about the Hazbin/Helluva Boss world from someone’s Instagram story just after the show came out on Prime. So I’m really late to the party but I love it.

On a cool note Asmodeus/ Vortex (and a random demon in the Hazbin pilot) has the same voice actor as Zestial "James Monroe Iglehart", also Fizzarolli has the same voice actor as Sir Pentious/Adam "Alex brightman". 2:39 I'm uncertain of how much you know of this but hell is split between 7 rings stacked on top of each other and are represented by the 7 sins each lead by a "Sin" who is a Prince of that ring and the embodiment of their sin. Lucifer is the Prince of Pride and the king of hell well Ozzie (Asmodeus) is the Prince of Lust, each Sin is represented by a color and can be seen by the color of the sky so in order it goes Pride red, Wrath orange, Gluttony yellow, Greed green, Lust blue, Envy purple, and Sloth pink. 3:26 Just like with Striker you can see here an Imp hybrid though very different, this guy along with many of the preformers are Imp/Succubus hybrids. 3:40 You can actually spot a poster of AngelDust in the top right corner, except for its pilot this would be the first Hazbin reference in Helluva boss. It's weird he has a poster in the Lust ring as Sinners can't leave the Pride ring but maybe it's for digital advertising. 5:15 God he is such a drama Queen/ theater kid and I love him for it, added a white streak like the TV woman and has a cloak that actually moves and shows the stars. 7:25 Just a note that's the real Fizz, the other was a robotic replica who was own by a "Mammon" just like LooLoo land but also built in "big Ozzie's factory". 9:06 & 10:15 IT'S VALENTINO, not really but man does Ozzie look like him well un-transformed, probably just Valentino being a cheap knock off trying to copy the king of Lust. 10:01 The fact they foreshadowed Bee being a girl randomly in this song is so crazy "more than Beelze loves her bub". 13:18 Unfortunately Stolas can't do anything against Ozzie because of the power imbalance, for quick power and social rating it goes Lucifer/ Lilith/ Charlie/ the 7 Sins (only 6 as Lucifer is one of them)/ the Ars Goetia (Stolas is only a Prince which is a middleman of the royals)/ Overlords/ Sinners/ most hellborn/ Imps/ hellhounds. Stolas is well above most hellborn and even Sinners/ Overlords like Alastor but still well below a Sin like Ozzie. 13:34 Hiding his face really hurt Blitz here. 14:14 That reaction is so great. 15:13 The fact that Ozzie doesn't obliterate them from existence here shows great restraint, not only have they insulted his club and life style but they also attacked his partner. Female imps have black hair with thin white stripes on their horns while males have white hair with thick white stripes on their horns, you can spot trans characters based on a different horn to hair color like for example Sally may Millie's sister dyes her hair black. 19:10 Originally there was only 7 episodes but a 8 was designed as a celebration for the team however legal trouble prevented it from showing until several months ago well into season 2, the episode is fine now (also wasn't critical for the story) so definitely watch episode 8 next. All I can say is that it has one of my favorite characters and some of my favorite songs, it is one helluva blast so can't wait for that with its massive guest star.

​@@maggie_knolastnameWith Lust it's blue however this episode it's at night which can turns even Pride's red to black like at Stolas's palace. Based on Ozzie's colors, the colors at the elevator scene, and the 7 rings depiction in Lucifer's workshop it's blue, also you can also see the sky again in a later episode where it's bluer than shown here. For Envy it's purple which is shown again at the elevator and Lucifer's workshop but also the color of some deep sea demons like the jellyfish and female shark shown in the background this episode, however we know little about them and the least about Envy so there is unknown potential. With Glitz and Glam it's a little difficult because we assume they are from Envy as it seems the most likely option with them being deep sea demons. However loan sharks are the same color despite being from Greed so maybe birth location can change someone's color or maybe like Imps/ Succubus/ Hellhounds they also may not all match their original ring's color or maybe something else entirely, we are just uncertain for now and have too wait.

I came in on Truth Seekers, which was wild in and of itself. There is one more episode in season 1 but it comes after season 2 episode 2, but it’s the direct sequel to this one so watch that before moving onto season 2. Don’t be too quick to judge Asmodeus and Fizz as villains btw (in case the thought crossed your mind). They give IMP a hard time in this episode but when you see them in season 2 you’re gonna realize that they’re actually pretty cool guys.

One great thing about this episode is that, while they weren't exactly polite about it, Ozzie and Fizz were entirely in the right to call out Moxie. You don't since Heavy Metal in a Jazz club, and our boy decided to sing a sappy love song in the main establishment in the Ring of Lust, which is run by the Sin of Lust himself. Moxie is entirely in the wrong here

Fun fact, Fizzarolli, the clown guy with the growly voice is actually played by the same guy who plays both Sir Pentious and Adam in Hazbin Hotel. And no need to apologise about anything, I know you just jumped in on Just look my way, I'm just glad you liked that and found your way to both Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel as a result, and are liking those as well. Btw you've probably already watched season 1 episode 8, Queen Bee already but basically Episode 7 and 8 are like a two-parter, Episode 7 is part one, Episode 8 is part two. Honestly, people who complain because you didn't enjoy the show in the same way and order they did are just trying to gate keep. Who cares that you got interested after hearing Look My Way, it's a great song and can hook you in even *without* context. The fact that it's better *with* context doesn't make it wrong to have heard it before seeing any of the show… Could be fun to do a "second look" reaction to Look My Way after catching up with the show though.

SO THIS episode WAS the finale because the REAL finale episode 8 had copyright issues they fought for YEARS to allow to be aired on youtube because it involves Kesha so for fans this was the finale for a long time till the real finale was released which is episode 8 but Viv the creator said that 8 wasnt major plot related so its ok to continue to season 2 until they sorted the copyright issues.

I'm not sure if anyone mentioned it, but they released the canonical next episode, later in the next season. You might wanna check that one out next, unlike a bunch'a those other channels that covered the show before said episode was released.

So, as a clue to the photos on Blitz's phone, you can tell an Imp's assigned gender by their horns. Alternating black/white of equal widths signify male, and mostly black with thin white bands signify female. BUT this show also features some trans Imps, like Millie's Sister from the Harvest Moon episode, the one betting on Moxxie dying. That Imp features male horns, but is described as Millie's sister. Another one will be seen in the Queen Bee episode, where the character very much expresses as male, but the horns indicate they were born as female. I really love how inclusive and thought out this world is.

So supposedly, you can tell an imp’s…let’s call it “birth gender” by the coloration of their horns. Male imps have wide black and white stripes like Blitz, Moxie and Fizzarolli (hope I spelled that right), while female imps have mostly black horns with very thin white bands like Millie’s horns. In a couple of episodes, however, we see an imp dressed in a dress but has wide bands of black and white on their horns, and a couple of others that look like they’re male but have the very thin white bands. Apparently, these character designs are meant to be transgender characters. Anyway, assuming that this is correct, that would mean the imp we see next to Blitz in that photo was likely his sister (we saw a brief image of her on that poster in Blitz’s office in the cherub episode). 🙂
