Who’s your favorite male sitcom lead? Tim Allen found success in film, but he’s also a reliable sitcom star. He was a lovable dad in Home Improvement and its spiritual successor Last Man Standing.
The show took the simple idea of working to improve something and added in family hijinks and a show within a show. It was a winning formula that audiences loved for years.

Being part of the cast launched the careers of future megastars such as Pamela Anderson and Jonathan Taylor Thomas. The crew even campaigned to have Hilary Clinton guest-star. Not everyone stayed the entire run. Patricia and Tim both turned down a lucrative offer for a ninth season, believing it wouldn’t last longer than that. Jonathan also left to pursue a higher education.
Talks of bringing the show back in a reboot are iffy. Tim loves the idea of at least a one-off special or movie. Patricia says she and JT were never approached about such an idea. The loss of Earl who played the enigmatic Wilson would also change the entire cast dynamic.
There are secrets behind the scenes they’d have to overcome. Tim is a sitcom dad beloved throughout the world with a dark past and criminal record. Zachary and Tyran managed to avoid drug troubles that plague child actors but don’t have spotless lives. Home Improvement also has plenty of goofy secrets. Eagle-eyed viewers can notice stunts gone wrong and visible crewmembers.
Those kinds of shenanigans were part of what gave Home Improvement its charm. It was a light-hearted show about the difficulties everyone faces when trying to improve their life. That made it relatable and funny.

We have the DVD TV series. We love Home Improvement. Addressed alot of real life situations (even the woodpecker on the side of the house 😐). The show cleverly turned our daily mishaps & misunderstandings into compassion, understanding & Humor! Great video. 🙂👍

It is a great series. Liked his neighbor Wilson who was behind the fence and you would only see the top part of his face. Also liked the episodes with Bob Vila. 👍

I liked Home Improvement! It was a funny show. Tim was a Macho guy and has to fix everything even if he. Doesn’t have any idea. And Pam Anderson was nice to look like. The woman after her. I was just going to see his face on a blooper. When the fence fell down.

I'm just going to tell you that was a long time can't remember one particular one but I like the show. I'm a car what kind of girl I like tools and stuff so yeah I'm 65 years old now so.🤙
