This role showcased her comedic timing and ability to connect with the audience, qualities that defined her career. Beyond "Cheers," Alley's filmography included memorable roles in films like "Look Who's Talking" and its sequels, where her on-screen chemistry with John Travolta delighted audiences. Despite facing personal and professional ups and downs, Kirstie Alley remained undaunted, approaching life with humor and courage. Her legacy is not just in the roles she played but in the indelible mark she left on Hollywood and the lives of those she touched. I met her when she was filming Village of the Damned in Inverness, CA. I was about 21, and I worked at The Inverness Store. Everyone shopped there, and they filmed a scene there. It was cool. Chrostopher Reeves was one of the nicest people I've ever met.

Thank you so much for your message to Kirstie. Which of her roles appealed to you the most?
I lived in Andover, ks for 3/4’s of my life. It’s about 7 mile away from Wichita,ks. I was told by my dad he and Kirstie were good friend in high school. And he did take her out one night for a date. She did this just keep herself from going on another date that was set up by her parents. She knew the guy was a creep, and she told my dad he kept bugging at school. Dad said he was thank full for the date, even though it was a ruse just to get out of the other date. He said they went bowling and a dinner. That was dad’s claim to fame.

She lobbied Congress to get them to take away health care from all Americans because her cult was against mental health care as psychology and psychiatry are more effective then Scientology's faux mental health solution based on the belief that the souls of angry alien beings are causing mental illness. She was vile about mental health care and I can't believe this video. Also, notice how many Scientologists die of cancer? They don't like to go to the doctor because they should be paying the cult all that money to get rid of those angry alien souls pestering them.

@christineking5312
Ай бұрын
Yeah, the dark secret is there was no dark secret. It was a gimmick to get us to view it. Be wary of words like "untold truth", "disturbing", "what we suspected", etc. This is becoming more and more typical with these videos about stars and we are suckers to bite the hook and watch. In my experience a lot of heavy-set women were molested and even raped and the weight is a way to put up an armor. If that was her situation, she never talked about it. With her honesty and forthrightness, it may not have been the case. Given her propensity for addiction, food was just one more substance. Too bad she choose Jenny Craig and L Ron Hubbard as her gurus when she might have gained more insight with programs like AA and OA where you get to the heart of the disease. And, yes, she was a wonderful actress.

I'll never forget how she admitted that she couldn't help but utter a laugh when she heard about her parent's car accident from her sister over the phone. it was something like: COLETTE: Kirstie, Mom and Dad were in a car accident, but-- KIRSTIE: But what?? COLETTE: Dad was in a KKK uniform and Mom was in blackface and wearing booty shorts and an afro wig! KIRSTIE: What???? COLETTE: They were on their way to a costume party ... they were going as their version of The Odd Couple! KIRSTIE: [laugh that couldn't be contained despite everything]

@@FactsVerse Easy. The episode where Sam reclaims ownership of his bar after he turns in Robin Colcord which demotes Rebecca into working for Sam.
I thought she was a very good-looking woman, a good actress, and her love for animals ❤. But the scientology I will never get behind. I like her. But not her belief of scientology. I have to say I was gutted when she died. 😢
Kirsty never remained grounded, she joined and believed wholeheartedly in Scientology and its teachings. ironically she was sort of a walking billboard for the OT levels not working due to her struggles with a desire to lose weight that she couldn't simply handle.

It is one of the cruelest acts of nature how a beautiful 105+lb young woman can morph into a 300+lb house beast in less than 20 years. It's enough to dissuade any rational young man from marrying.
@Haley497

Now imagine being a woman and dealing with such cruelty. While you can simply pay attention to the older women in a prospective partner's family, nature will indeed be cruel sometimes. In my day men were a little wiser, they knew looks fade, but personality is forever. Today I can imagine how hard it must be to date.
