    You need to make a portable hydraulic system. And have a small motor. To hook up the Hydraulics. That would control the boom and bucket. Love the video.

    That's a great idea. If they took the PLS (1075) with them they would have had it on board. The 1070 doesn't has it on board, but it wouldn't be that hard to implement it. (it has hydraulics for the winches)

    @@darylcompton3433 We did the same thing with a hydraulic power pack usually used to test hydraulic elevators. Got it for cheap, from an elevator company and moved a cat 336 that decided to evict its guts in the middle of a forest. We had no means to move the thing out because there was no allowance to remove trees other than the existing road. We removed the lines going to the hydraulic motors, hooked the controls of the power pack and away we went. The power pack was on a trailer, hooked to the bucket which we locked in place with straps and wood to the frame. It was slow, took a while, but we got it out on its own tracks, no fuss, no muss. Now, US might not have these power packs in that area, doubt there's that many elevators in the middle of nowherescraper, but any kubota with a hydraulic pump and a divider block will do. Saves headaches, tons of wasted fuel, time, it's fun to show too, because it's not that easy to control, you're bypassing straight to the hydraulic motors, so it's not a content loss.

    Hey Diesel, I walked a dead 235cat withoff a hill & onto a float with a small cat skidsteer by myself. I used two 50ft hyd hoses plumbed into the 235cat controls & used hyd pressure from the skidsteer to walk the 235. As long as the dead machine's hyd are ok works on any machine. I just followed behind keeping my eyes on the hoses

    I built a trailer housing an old C15 pumps controls and hoses to pull old broken crap out of mines years ago. You don’t need anything from the machine except the rams and gearboxes to control any motion on a hydraulic machine.

  • @JeffreyPar-pr2zw

    @JeffreyPar-pr2zw

    @catman19 - I have done similar. For a large company, I set up an 80 hp diesel to 3 pumps on a trailer. Some machines have dual hydraulic systems, and another for any jacks or whatever on a separate system. Connect the trailer to the recovery machine, hook up the hydraulics, and go. The system worked so well, the contractor rented it out to other contractors. I wish I thought two steps ahead and built one to rent. It was my idea and design. This was back in the 1980s.

    If you had a hydraulic skid, you could plumb in to the existing control valve(s) and at least have power boom and most likely power swing. Edited for another suggestion. You have a tool circuit on your skidsteers, and possibly your big truck, you can use that to either plumb into the entire system or to do just one cylinder at a time.

    It’s called a shackle. D-rings are on the side of the trailer where you hook the chains to tie down the equipment.

    It's called a shackle Hans. A D-Ring is welded on the side of a truck or trailer. A clevis is like a shackle but the pin isn't threaded, it has a cotter key to hold it in. SHACKLE - say it again Shackle!

    Put enough A/C on the skid steer to make ice cream inside, and they'll sell all they can haul to the Gulf states in the summer. People think I'm crazy for heading to west TX to camp in the summer, but the difference in humidity means sweating there actually cools you off, whereas here in central TX it just makes you sticky and still hot.

    Kudos on the sunscreen. In fact, I no longer bother with applied film, I simply wear a long-sleeve UV polyester top. Cheap, comfortable, look good (show off that form!), diff colors, high collar (expose neck, that needs a film), don't show sweat, dry fast, tear off and put on another during the day. 8$ each. Basically the fabric is a film of sunscreen, no need to rub it on yourself, it's a 2nd skin. The sun is a real killer, not manly to expose yourself to it.

    Organized chaos against thousands of pounds of metal on a hill that nearly got away. Love the Hett and the skid steers. Love the water sprayer... I used to carry one for my last Greyhound outdoors in the summer when she got too old for shade to work reliably enough.
