This River is LOADED with WILD Brown Trout! (North Georgia Pt 2 of 2)

FLY FISHING NORTH GEORGIA FOR WILD BROWN TROUT!
Go check out my buddies!!
Kole: / brown.trout.bum
Tyler: / keepingitfishy
North Georgia has some incredible wild trout fishing. The browns in southern Appalachia are some of the most consistently colorful brown trout I've experienced. I was able to get back down there this year in search of a big 20 inch wild brown trout. Unfortunately I ran out of time before I was able to complete my mission, but I hope you all enjoy the video!
I hope everyone has enjoyed the last few videos! Thanks for all of the support as usual.

    Nice. Thanks for posting these videos and visiting North Georgia. We've got some really nice fish here. Those brightly colored rainbows are usually stream born as the stocker's colors are more muted.

    What streams/ rivers or even just counties do you fish? I'm living and North FL now (used to fishing spring creeks and rivers in south central MO) and North GA is the closest trout fishing available so I'd like to make a week(end) out of it at some point. I'm just looking for a general area to drive to since the drive is like 5 hours not counting ATL traffic. The GA fish and game website isn't the most conducive to getting good information about public trout fishing access. It basically just gives streams and tells you that most of it is private.

    Thank you for not mentioning the stream names (that I heard). Western NC and North GA is my home area and has pretty much been ruined by stream overcrowding, for the most part.

    Love your videos. I've never tried streamer fishing. My bad if you've covered this in previous video but whats your typical streamer setup? floating line or sink tip? weighted flies vs. weightless flies etc

  • @TheCoolwhipped

    @TheCoolwhipped

    2 жыл бұрын

    Looked like he was using a floating line with weighted flies. That last fly in the video had barbell eyes for weight. I use a lot of unweighted flies with a sinking leader on the end of my WF floating line, but I've had good luck with weighted flies with a fairly short, heavy leader.

    The Chattahooce River is not this good, I fish north ga streams and no one I know will fish the hooch for trout. The game and fish, DNR, have the rules so tangled it’s not worth trying anyway. Parts are artificial only, other parts are forbidden, no signs, no markings yet a game warden will say it’s your responsibility to guess correctly.
