He is writing his Doctoral thesis for a PhD in Musicology in Composition. Dr. Qudaibergen soon ! He remained a fulltime student throughout his career and until his Doctoral courses were completed, recently, all his performances and projects were carefully scheduled around his studies. Thank you for your kind, incisive comments ! ❤

Thanks, I'm happy you enjoyed the video! One of the great things about this performance was that it wasn't only two singers singing together. But it was also two great musicians. And that makes a BIG difference!
DID Dimash say "yae I will perform in about 10 minutes"? and was just doing this before his performance?? He is so awesome!!!

I love watching that clip. How nervous Dimash must have been, and he still needed to perform. If you watch the original video carefully, Andrea asks do you need to perform? And Dimash goes, yes in 10 minutes. Lol.

Thats actually my favorite part of the video. Just before that Dimash silently stands there watching Andrea Bocelli play the piano and you can just feel how he is bathing in happiness because he can be near his idol. Andrea cant see that happiness and may feel a bit awkward or concerned and thus asks about the performance. But Dimashs answer is like: who cares when or whether i have to perform. I m next to Andrea Bocelli now please dont send me away. 🥰

I love that you included the clip where Dimash was singing O Solo Mio , as you said Dimash is very humble and definitely downplays his ability, being very respectful to Andre Bocelli, Dimash was raised beautifully. I am also in complete agreement with you, I love everything Dimash sings, but to hear an entire aria, especially Nessun Dorma would absolutely thrill me. I understand that Dimash doesn’t want to be boxed into one genre, and thank goodness he didn’t do that or we might never have known about him, but every once in a while an operatic baritone/tenor aria would be lovely.

Someone is videoing this on their phone about 5 or 6 feet away and you can still hear him loudly. This is a perfect example for those who say that he lipsync when they see that he holds the microphone away from him. He doesn’t need it to be right on his mouth to project. Thank you for this reaction.

if you monitor the audio signal of this clip closely, every time Dimash sings, it goes up BIG time. So with a voice like that you can't keep the mic close to your mouth. Unless you want make the audio engineer to freak out 😂

Thank you for your song suggestions. I have the song on my list. Greetings to the Netherlands!
I'm so glad you chose to do this clip, so many times Dimash gets accused of either using auto tune or lip syncing (although like all artists, there's times when the situation makes that unavoidable) that it's good to have someone of your knowledge promote hidden footage like this. His Dears have heard him sing in many different situations, on the sofa at home with family, the Queen of the Night aria he sang on a staircase, and not to forget the beautiful rendition of Brahms lullaby in his kitchen in LA at 3am when he couldn't sleep. ❤️

Yes, this clip shows that Dimash can always pull it off. And as you said, in today's music business autotune and lip syncing are unavoidable sometimes. However, this doesn't change anything about the fact that Dimash is an unbelievable artist and singer, with vocal skills that can't really be compared to anyone else.

@@andreasgrussl I felt sorry for Rihanna this year after the Superbowl when it caused uproar because it was obvious that she was lip syncing but only a few knowledgeable people knew that it's a prerequisite for an occasion of that size, TV companies can't afford for errors to get in the way of the occasion so they prerecord whatever they can.

Andreas this is such an amazing video with two of the greats!! Please do more of Dimash. You are one of my favorite reactors. Dimashs most recent are beyond all the others. He has a short video that is actually a short movie called "The Story of One Sky". It took him 3 years to write the script and compose the score. You will be so impressed! Then the most recent is one composed by his 16 year old brother Mansur called "Together". It is very unusual and his younger brother and sister both appear in it. Thanks Andreas!!♥

Hi Andreas, it's been a while since you analyzed Dimash, and now he has a duet with Plácido Domingo that you might enjoy
this was a a gem of a video, sir! short enough to keep anyone's attention & relatable, definitely showcasing your knowledge as well as your ability to make it easy to understand & enjoyable for people with all levels of vocal training/knowledge. also, the length was just right, not too much nor too little, a touch longer would have been fine by me though! but *most of all* ... i want to highlight your ability to accomplish all of the aforementioned & still somehow come out with something *novel, articulate, sincere, & unique* re: dimash. BRAVO, dear sir! i think these types of videos are excellent, fwiw; an interesting niche in the reaction/analysis video channels out there. i hope to see more, perhaps one covering the harmonizing prowess of budakhel & katrina velarde? anytime that group (especially katrina, harmonizing with anyone, really) gets together, i know i'm in for some of the best vocal blending i'll ever hear.

Dimash mixes head and chest through a huge part of hos voice. Thatś Why notes above E4 is lighter Than for an opera-tenor. He sings with a microphone so carrying power above an orchestra is unimportant. He has extreme control over his breaks and his musicality is of the charts.
Why do I feel like Bocelli is being a bit of a **** ? Somehow the vibe isn't friendly.

It might be because he is speaking English, and basically just translating what he would say in Italian. I have noticed that some people seem rude when they speak other language even though they don't mean it😊
Dimash is actually a better classical singer than Andrea and I imagine the Maestro knows that. :)
