you can take the top 3 screws off the Blu-ray drive , much easier to connect cables that way

I had this happen to me. It was the power pack being blocked that caused it in the end. Once I took the ps5 apart and cleaned it’s not done it again 😄

Hay Phil, did you not see the bottom of the note? It stated the front usb was damaged and needed sorting?

@TheCod3r just a few technical questions in general on serviceability on Ps5 Consoles based on your current experience. 1. For general cleaning like on this video (minus the liquid metal) I Presume it's doable without separating the main board and heatsink? 2. With the knowledge and experience up to now. Does your view still stand with the risk of liquid metal damaging the apu or other components, when stood vertically Vs horizontally after redistributing or applying new Liquid metal? (Apologies in advance if you constantly have to keep answering this as this issue has not been talked about since your video was released on it) Many thanks for your contribution and content to the repairing community.

An electronic load is a must have gadget for a repair shop,it can stress test anything while you check with an osciloscope if sth is working fine or not.Disclaimer.If you want a beast of an electronic load to test big time atx plus of the 800W and more range,you ll need a beast of a load,that costs quite a lot.But for most,up to 300 watts,you can buy an affordable one.Will save time,trust me guys.

So mine was doing the same thing. Had the Liquid Metal replaced and cleaned out all the dust and it’s still happening any ideas? It’s in an open area.

Question: code 8083000 on UART says shutdown or freeze after SAM_IPL loaded GDDR6 data line issue (replace) means problems on APU or RAM? I don't have a thermal cam, but I can feel ram chips get warm whenever I get it to just pulse blue, mostly it just shuts off when I turn on, also I can feel the APU get hot as well

Hello, have you ever had a slim with error Ce-108255-1? I've done everything but it keeps failing with PS5 games, PS4 games work fine. Could it be the memory controller, or some fault in the VRAM?

So the dry spot from the liquid metal caused all of this? I put my PS5 on its side but I swear it's rougher on the inner rings of the discs than when I have standing.

Yeah, pretty much, mate. It is better on the side. I'm not sure what you mean by inner rings though

@@TheCod3r I have it on the side because of you and other repair guys, I told all of my friends and family to do the same with theirs. The inner rings I'm talking about the PS5 disc(or any disc) where you put your finger through, it seems for me at least that it's putting wear on those inner rings of a disc, the spot the disc drive grabs to spin the game and the spot you pop your finger through to handle the game disc itself.
