These people spent over 4 hours trying to rescue this terrified pittie from a dangerous area in Detroit, Michigan. Watch her melt into the arms of her rescuers and become a total daddy's girl 😍
Special thanks to Cheryl Simmons for rescuing Cardi B, and Morgan Julio and Joseph Pless for giving her a forever home.

    7 years ago I found a baby Pitt under similar circumstances. It took the first year before she would even let me pet her.. good news is the last few years she no longer thinks everyone is trying to hurt her and now seeks love and attention. Just seeing their personalities come out as they become more confident is a joy

    I’ve had the distinct pleasure of being the rescuer of a brother and sister Rottweiler duo and in case you’re wondering the ratbast….ard who abused them is still alive it he’s on sticks permanently anyhoo they were to my wife and the family additions to our home. When they passed over I’m not ashamed to admit that I shed a boatload of tears but while the family were on holiday in Manchester we acquired two Rhodesian ridgebacks and even though they’re getting on now they are loved and coddled as were my rotties, thank you so much for bringing back happy memories. Best wishes for the future John from Scotland 🙏🙏🙏🙏

He came in and told me about her so I spent two weeks taking food and water to her before she came out and let me catch her. She was the sweetest, most loving dog anyone could want! She passed away at twelve years old. I was privileged to have been with her for 10 years and miss her to this day...she was that special!

    I don't understand how anyone could get rid of a dog (or cat) because they moved...we have laws where I live that you cannot be kicked out for having pets. I really do love being Canadian, and I really love my border collie Caydee- she's almost 13, and a year ago was diagnosed with an aggressive form of anal cancer- $8000 later and she is cancer free ( my vet recently told me he is so glad I didn't take his advice and "take a wait and see approach" but rather insisted on having a board-certified surgeon come and remove the mass. She goes to the Guelph University Cancer clinic every 3 months to be checked over (blood work, abdominal ultrasound, x-rays and anal check- it's 1 year so far and she still acts like a puppy. I am so glad I check her anal glands at least every 5 months. Ok I'm rambling, this video just got me all emotional, sorry.

    Actually the spike collet is more humane than a choke collar. My pitty would choke herself out with a choker cause she is so strong and pulls hard. The spike collar has dull spikes so the is no skin penetration. It evenly snugs around the neck but doesn’t put pressure on the carotid arteries or the trachea, and is similar to a mother dog settling down her rowdy puppies. It doesn’t hurt the dog at all. And she doesn’t pull as hard either.

  • @radioactivewolfe

    @radioactivewolfe

    3 жыл бұрын

    Prongs are not abusive unless used incorrectly, but judging by how she was left, and how she fought the collar, I can only assume the owner used the prong spikes to hurt her. Prong collars are used to apply gentle pressure using dull sticks, makes an uncomfy feel without choking the dog or collapsing the trachea by using the gaps the sticks make. I understand that some may not believe this saying so I am only asking for you to test it out on yourself or try it on your dog, but first learn how to properly use one People I know also use prongs to protect their farm dogs by flipping them inside out

    Pinch collars approximate the natural correction method... that is how dogs naturally train each-other. It is humane because it is not only appropriate being that it is a natural correction technique... it is humane because certain commands require training with the prong collar because treat training would be dangerous. For example, you do not train a dog to recall with treats... unless you don't care that your dog will not return to you when, let's say, it is chasing a cat, or rabbit, or rodent, etc. across the street into traffic. Your dog does a calculation of worth... and figures it is far more excited and motivated by this live fleeing prey... than a bland treat it gets any old day of the week. There are any number of reasons that your dog will be hyper focused and motivated to disregard the allure of a treat... when attacking other animals, attacking other people, attacking a child... in those moments it is paramount that your dog obeys your commands... it is foolish to expect treat training to be effective. But if they were properly trained with the prong collar... they obey your commands out of respect... and that is worth more than anything else... unless they don't respect you. The danger of the dog yanking on the leash, with extreme force, is minimal... surface punctures, nothing life threatening. While with a choke collar (like the one the new owners are using) or even a normal collar can crush the trachea. Your philosophy is uninformed, irresponsible and puts lives in danger, other people, other pets, as well as themselves.

    @Mr. Shlock BS! Pitbulls are mild-mannered and intelligent - if they are properly socialised. And they are very submissive (which was actually a necessary trait in the "pit", since their owners had to be able to handle them at any time). In Victorian times Staffordshires/Pitbulls were even known as "nanny dogs"! The problem is that they are often owned by thugs who treat them completely wrong.

  • @stephanweinberger

    @stephanweinberger

    3 жыл бұрын

    @Mr. Shlock In e.g. Germany it's the other way around - here most attacks are by Retrievers and German Shepherds. The reason is simple: owners of Staffs, Pits and other "listed breeds" are required to have police clearance ('certificate of good conduct') and have to prove proper training of the dog and themselves.

  • @stephanweinberger

    @stephanweinberger

    3 жыл бұрын

    @Mr. Shlock No, you missed the point. It's the *owners* that are controlled and forced to act responsibly. It's very much like the US mantra of "guns dont kill people", just applied to dogs. Americans often point out that weapons can be used safely by "responsible people". Just the same is true for dogs: when owned by a responsible person and socialised properly any dog is safe. Just as any large dog can be a potentially deadly weapon when "misused", regardless of the breed. Btw: the list of "dangerous breeds" in Germany is very much debated, exactly because other "harmless" breeds actually hurt and kill more people.

    @Mr. Shlock I think there is a lot of disinformation out there about some breeds being dangerous by nature. But that’s just not true. There’s a log of bad info about humans too. The Pitt family of dogs need to get exercise & reassurance more than some others, not to be killed for being afraid.

    While leaving out there a dog is cruel, you should really euthanize a Pit bull. Pit bulls don't like changing owners, in matter of fact they will most likely maul, bite or you will be a victim of their abusive nature. So leaving it out is dangerous to passer by, and is inhumane (as much we can be humane to a cold blooded killer dog).

So she must likely is aggressive, people just looove saving violent stuff.
