The fact that he doesn't even attack you or something while eating just showes how grateful he is to you. Also how he eats is just heartbreaking..as if that's gonna be his last meal. I really hope he is living his best life now with his new family.

Sadly, this is Ukraine and it's a warzone. The poor dog got left behind when the family had to evacuate. But, there is no shortage of asshats who treat animals like shit.

Human's cruelty is beyond comprehension. I just don't understand how could some people do things that's just plain devilish and unimaginably heartless. Especially to innocent sentient beings like animals.

That was my first thought. There are circumstances where you simply cannot take your pets along, even if you really want to. But you cannot leave him chained, that's like a death sentence. You need to set him free, so he can look for food and water.

He's absolutely beautiful! Oh the joy, the relief on that sweet baby's face. Dog's are pack animals people. They need people, other dogs around, near, beside them. Just like you and me. I'm praying this little man finds his forever home 🐕💞

For heavens sake, did you not read that this was after the evacuation. This country is a war zone. No one knew they were going to have to flee the country. Some people had less than 10 minutes to pack before they had to leave. You don’t know what the owners of this dog went through. They might even have been some of the people that were shot on the streets by the Russian soldiers.

If you bother to get the full story, the owners had chained the dog up so it didn’t run away in fear from the Shelling close to their village and end up killed. The owners were then killed. Hence why the dog was still chained up. Does that make you feel better?

No, that's not true. Only people who believe in and follow Jesus will get there. There are many nice people that reject Jesus that won't be there including dog rescuers. We should treat animals correctly, but that doesn't erase our sins or save us.

There isn't a random group going round tying up dogs to poles, when dogs are tied up and abandoned its usually the former owners that are responsible. And before you take the moral high horse, what type of person would tie their dog up outside when there is shelling outside. Considering some of the reports of Russian soldiers and the torture they inflicted on Ukrainian citizens, who knows what they have done to the animals. I am just saying, with the tiny amount of information given on this video there isn’t anything to indicate that the owner did leave the dog in that situation. As for taking the moral high ground, what gives you the right to judge people you know nothing about in a situation you might never be in in your life. It’s wonderful that people are putting their lives at such risk to rescue these animals, but do you even realise how much danger the rescuers are in as well.

It did not look, like any bombs were dropped around... All houses looked perfectly fine, even grass was fine around the houses. It did not look like a war zone- AT ALL! No excuse for the owners of that lovely dog left behind.. Traitors! Dog is a family!

I'm all for helping out but I'm not sure if we can assume that it was the idea of his hooman family member to leave 🐕 behind. Might have been simply an actual accident. Because fact is blaming the people used to own him solve nothing not 1. So calling cops to get a job done actually hurt not helping. I'm not saying it was dogs fault but we are actually not helping by going to cops because it makes the situation worse. Instead of getting quotes made on 📰 u should be there you're self, doing what you can.

@@Configurations This is not what we classify as a starved dog. He does not appear to be weak or lethargic manifested by a skinny or emaciated appearance. This dog does have energy reserves so he has been receiving some nutrition. However, it’s most likely inadequate for his physical requirements. It is safe to introduce food to the dog in small quantities maybe 15-20% of what you would typically feed a dog this size every 20-30 minutes. Use high quality puppy food or a high protein food to maximize nutrition. And of course, you offer the dog water.

And angels came to give him a better life. Love it. He ate so fast his tummy will hurt.

Tears are welling up in my eyes along with great anger at those who left him to die .

It breaks my heart to see a dog left in such conditions. Thank you for rescuing this magnificent animal. He deserves so much better. Hope his life improves from here on in.

May be spare a thought for the person that .may not of had a choice to take him with them,if they had let him loose he would have followed and would have been in danger,hopeing that someone else' could rescue him.we should not condemned without knowing the circumstances. It could have been you or I in that heinous war .Thank you for all concerned in his rescue. ♥♥🙏🙏🐾🐾♥♥🙏🙏♥♥

I did notice that the dirt on the ground looked cleaner than that bowl.

What a transformation for him. The dirt that came off him in the bath - poor thing. Thank goodness he is with you now and hopefully Toby will soon find a forever home. God bless you all for your work.

Some people sicken me!! No animal should be left alone on a leash outside, EVER!!! THANK YOU FOR RESCUING THIS STARVING PUP. Look at him go on that food!!! So glad he is eating, that's a good sign!! HEART WRENCHING WHAT ANIMALS ENDURE AT THE HANDS OF SELFISH HUMANS! What a gorgeous pup🐶🐾♥️💙🐾 Those people should be red flagged and NEVER BE ALLOWED TO HAVE ANY PETS, NONE, EVER, NOT EVEN A FLEA !! the first thing I would do in emergency/evacuation is get my children & animals, ie FAMILY!!
