I do believe you hit the nail on the head. He's an obsessive, possessive Virgo who is also the Ox in the Chinese Astrology. Double whammy!!! He repeatedly told me I belonged to him and "jokingly" that he owned me. What’s wild is that the obsession isn’t followed up with any real action, which is why I “reject” him. It’s fine if he wants to be with only me romantically, but when he isn’t actually loving me properly or being consistent in the connection, now I’m unhappy and don’t want the relationship at all. He’d be better off with actually being present with me - in the moment when we’re together, as opposed to wanting to be w/ me, then getting around me, only to be working in his phone or being distracted by random things or even just lack of reciprocity. It's not love, it's a fantasy. like, if someone loved me for real because they knew me and who I really am and what I'm actually like, we'd be aces, let's talk for sure. but inventing a fake character of me and passing it off as "love" is quite insulting. I was in an abusive relationship with someone who said they loved me, but only loved the idea of me. so when i fell short of whatever fuckshit they invented or deviated from it, there would be conflict. in a way, the one with the limerence is in fake love with an impostor who wears your skin. the coldness and disappointment (and in my case, abuse), i feel it's only fantasy based. if someone's ever been in love with the real you because they got the time to get to know you, you will understand the difference. that said, the person who had the limerence on me and turned abusive fucking disgusts me. it's the opposite of happy, healthy relationsihp, there's only misery. i guess i agreed initally because i'm lonely and want attention. but now i'm going to go brush my teeth becaue thinking about it made me throw up in my mouth a little bit lol.

This is frustrating because it seems like when I’m heavily in this energy of obsession or limerence this person acts aloof or is never around, but when I finally get them out of my head and start doing good they pop back up. It’s so strange because obviously there is strong sexual tension between us, but the timing is always off. Like when she first started to give me signals I had a girlfriend. Fast forward a month and a half and I became single, but noticed her being friendly with multiple dudes. So I decided to cut her off energetically. And now that I’m free, she acts interested again. I want to believe that it could be a romance, but am afraid she’s just a player and I’m wasting my time. Yep you are nailing a great description, Daniella. Limerence, lol tell me about it. I went through that exactly a year ago. I had to go 'no contact'. I ended up leaving the workplace, where I met her. I left for other reasons, but since up to my last day there I would get upset after seeing her, leaving was a bonus. I dont see her anymore. She may creep around my flat, check my social media, crank call me, as I have had many breather calls, or no sound.... Who knows. The longer I am away, I feel like she is slowly losing her grip on me. It taught me a lot actually. Going 'no contact' on a female is a new tool for me.
