Massimo Ranieri 1988, he won the Italian music festival "Sanremo" with this beautiful song. That' s a very popular song in Italy and had a lot of singers covering it. Lara had always a deep love for italian music 'cause her childhood and mum. She spent few years in Sicily when she was a child, that's why she loves italy and speaks Italian. And this cover of her is just amazing, the way she sings it, the way she act, the passion she put. She KNOWS of course the meaning of the lyrics and live them, giving the right color and the right weight at any word. And her voice, her belting .. Just great. Massimo Ranieri himself said that Lara's cover is amazing... She is a queen! All Italians love this song! And we love her😊 Perdere l'amore means "loosing love" and talks about the end of a relationship in a advanced age.. Lyrics are very touching 😢. She did also covered "Caruso" from Lucio Dalla and made collaborations with other popular italian singers, like Laura Pausini, Cesare Cremonini, Gigi D'Alessio.. Zucchero... And her italian is still great even if she is living in Quebec since a long time.. Masterclass! ❤

Hello Eric. I'm not pretty sure if that's the song Dimash first heard from her, but for sure here she shows a lot of passion and interpretation and great belting that Dimash admires in her so much. 😊

@@Francesco71rm yes she became a star there with her hit Je t’aime as early as the mid 90s and then became absolutely massive when she started to collaborate with Igor in the late 2000s. She has created many songs and made huge concerts with him. Dimash has covered several of her songs.

Yes i know, I follow her since I was 14😊😊😊😊 and also saw her live here in Roma in Piazza di Spagna where she did sing also with Laura Pausini. She did sing" La solitudine" e "Caruso" . And at her different partecipations at Sanremo Festival she did sing with gigi d Alessio, zucchero and wrote a song with Cesare Cremonini, all popular italian singers.
