Notice at 2:24 he turns & begins to walk toward the band -- it was his funny way of showing that he was so dizzy from all the kissing that he got confused in his direction. He did a lot of kissing but notice that he got through the song perfectly, never missing a beat!

That medley is great, only wish it was about 3 hours longer, that's how many good songs he did in his short life time. Great reaction to Elvis as usual.👌

Hi there, i really enjoyed this Medley with you - Have you reacted to the full version of Suspicious Minds you would love it - it is one of Elvis' very best performances - it is an Elvis classic - 1970 Las Vegas Elvis Presley ' Suspicious Minds' an absolute outstanding performance. I highly recommend it! May I also suggest the live version of 'Stranger in the Crowd' I have the Link Live in Las Vegas 1970 kzread.info/dash/bejne/in-Dtbmnqpmufbg.html I always love and enjoy your Elvis reactions. Someone simply improved the quality of the videos & made a medley of Elvis performances. For example, it begins with Elvis, "Jailhouse Rock" from his movie of the same name in 1957. Elvis died in 1977 so it's definitely not from 1982. Also, Elvis was not thought to be 'acting like a fool' in any of his appearances of the time. His dance moves were considered 'dangerous, suggestive, and immoral. The FBI even received complaints wanting Elvis legally barred from performing as they felt he was 'corrupting the youth.'

Fun to watch the ladies lining up as Elvis is going through the crowd. The longer he was down there, the more women lined up. A lot of people don't pick up on it but when he's on his right side of the stage & bends down to kiss someone, the male with the lady yelled out something nasty to her. Anger & seriousness changed Elvis's demeanor in a flash & he gave the guy a dirty look before continuing on to the people on his right side of the stage. He pulled it together fast but it's definitely noticeable if you pay close attention. Elvis loved his fans & they him. The majority of the male partners were happy that their female companion got a kiss...you can see them smiling for them. "Sorry I couldn't make it up there in time, man" was cool because you can hear Elvis's southern accent come through & the 'take it home, man' just demonstrates he was one cool dude. Great performance, great reaction!

What is the time stamp on that -- i think some people might need it if they don't pick up on it. Oh, & it was "Take it home baby" not "man." Thanks.

My moms favorite singer. took me decades to understand her passion. I remember the day he died. i was in Sixth grade. My mom was crying.. and my dad who was a very funny handsome man.. Came home from work, busted the door open and fell on his knees singing.. " Are you lonesome tonight"... I laughed.. my mom was so upset she ran upstairs.. they didn't talk for days...lol

I'm soooo glad You didn't put yourself in that group on KZread that claims "Neil Peart was ONE of the best drummers that ever lived." The problem is this, most people who claim that never heard all that he can do, his creativity, his vision, his dogged persistance, and even the way he purposefully adds in parts to his drum solo that sound "out of beat"...he began doing this later on (& does it in this solo about mid-way in, about @5:10). He even mentions this "out of beat" parts in an interview. I played bass 40 years, and I've learned many songs doing Neal's drum parts with my hands on different areas of flat surfaces like the inside walls of kitchen sink, island kitchen, at work etc...and I've learned to play the "out of beat" parts. It's just something that takes years to develop, (not Dog Years!) lol

Since I started going to concerts in the 70s, I have seen some great drummers. But Neil was in a class by himself. I’ve thought over the last 10 or 15 years that somebody would step up to his level, but no one has that I know of. Not with his complex level of arrangement.

Welcome to the world of Neil Peart. Many drummers consider him to be the world's best. That's why he's known as " the Professor ". BTW his name rhymes with pier. He also writes the lyrics for Rush. You won't hear rock lyrics like them anywhere else. The man was brilliant. RIP Professor.

McCartney practised this song for a week to get his voice really hoarse and caustic. He wanted the song to sound desperate. My take on the song is that he is talking to John, begging him not to leave. "I'll never let you down" - a direct answer to John's "Don't Let Me Down". Also, "I'll never make it alone"...seems to fit, don't you think? It's the breakup of the Beatles.

Dame Shirley and Lady D together at last! Burly Chassis as we cheekily call her is from my home of Wales and is a contemporary of Tom Jones - also from my area - both powerhouses, though very different styles. My mum adored her and I grew up listening to her. Suggest, out of interest, you watch her singing "As Long As He Needs Me" at the Royal Variety Performance in 1961. Then, "Diamonds Are Forever" Live at the BAFTA's at 85 years old for comparison. Enjoy!

This song was a secret song, only sung at the Vatican for the Pope. Untill Mozart heard it once, wrote it down from memory and made it public for the world, a century and a half later.
