Having a very small topwater walking bait is going to come in handy in a lot of different situations. One of the biggest reasons I am going to throw it, is simply when the bass are eating small bait.
Another time that I could really see this particular lure working well is when you are fishing in ponds and creeks. Sometimes the bait that the bass feed on in these bodies of water is smaller, so having a small bait is going to allow you to get more bites.
Another reason that I am going to use it is whenever you have calm conditions. In calm conditions, sometimes it is best to use lures that are more subtle. This is a bait that is more subtle and I can definitely see it working when the water is slick.
BassFishingHQ is dedicated to teaching people how to catch more and bigger bass. I will go over different bass fishing tips & techniques that will put more fish in the boat or on the shore. Whether you are just starting out or a seasoned tournament angler, my goal is to help you catch more bass.

Great video showing the comparison between the Boyo and other Spook sizes. So far I’ve only used it in small farm ponds and they’ve worked well. Look forward to trying them at the lake later this month.

Love the content! Those smaller walking baits can be deadly when the bites tough . I fish a lot of small farm ponds and cranberry bog ponds and I’d recommend trying to get these baits in a pickerel or pike pattern ( you might have to get a custom paint job ) but it’s worth it

I just started fishing a year ago and I’ve been trying so hard to get a Bass on a top water no luck at all..Had a frog one day and seen two come close and look and one kind of nose at it but haven’t had a fish come slam any of my top water lures..But I’m enjoying learning and trying new things..So far my most successful things have been jerk baits and my pb a 4.8 pounder came of a weightless senko wacky rigged..gonna keep trying the top water though

Sup. Have a question. Have you ever fished a crankbait (2-5') and bass follow til last second and bump it? (Like hip check in hockey). It happened a lot today, well yesterday, I actually had one snagged! Think it was on and off rain? Just never saw that? Friend cought on fluke and drop shot. But I kept thinking one would bite? Ever see that? A bass bump a crankbait? Ty
