Excepting for fact that £12k less you get 50% more acceleration in a Tesla Model S plaid. Which would look pretty lame side by side. You also don't have to shell out £25 for every 100mile you do. Ouch!

@@bbbf09 Sure, but then you'd have to sit inside a Tesla (which sucks) and deal with all its problems. I'd rather have a Porsche Taycan 4S at the same price. Or, better yet, a Taycan GTS Sport Turismo for a bit more.

I am reasonably happy with my humble Tesla model 3 at one third the cost. In the UK at least it is signiifcantly chepaer than rival BMW M3 and outperforms it.

M5 CS is by far my favorite car in BMW's lineup. Still looks like a proper BMW for the most part, can carry people in comfort, while having legitimate supercar performance. And after all this time, I still can't get over how dumb and non-bmw the new M3's front looks like. Cracked out beaver vibes.

You didn't like the bmw m3 grill before because you was smart and you had a brain , that means you had common sense, but after slipping on a icecream Sunday, you hit your head and your brain fell out and you lost all your common sense, that's why you like the new bmw m3 grill. And all so I'm sure bmw will put a massive ugly grill on the next generation bmw m5

Nice choice Matt ! Good looking car on the exterior and even better looking inside, drives even better than it looks ! But i do hope your warranty is serious. I say this because in the past 6 months i've had so many 4.4L biturbo engines come into the shop for major engine repairs that i lost track of the number (over 20ish). And it's not even a dealership..

I firmly believe that the designers don't go out of their way to make something so radical. It's the CEO's that that they have to appease; so striking a balance between subdued and bold looks would be quite challenging.

I've seen all your videos on this car, as well as some from others who do a lot of driving and reviewing of high performance cars. You all have come to the same conclusion about it. Soooo, that means of course, that you made an excellent choice for what is now your daily driver and fun machine. I must admit, that I am, at the moment, a bit envious. Nice!!!

I think the only thing I can appreciate for the M3 is it's seats. it can hold 5 passengers and a much more luxurious one unlike M5 having 4 gaming chairs (I meant seats). all in all I think I do prefer the M5 tho.

I think M5 CS looks so much better in Frozen BrandsHatch grey or Frozen green. The facelift M5 also looks softer and less aggressive than the pre-faceloft model. But it looks cleaner and more elegant

My father bought a 530e of this generation, and I fell in love with it. Such a great car. Can't imagine how good the M5 CS must be...

totally jealous you've got this as a daily driver Mat. Only 20 of the M5 CSs were ever brought to Australia and they sold new for $305,990 AUD. There's currently 3 available second hand and they're all going for around $500,000 AUD. This one will become a collectors dream. I totally want one.

The 5 series was always the strongest horse for BMW. It always had to be perfect and if you ever had a 5 series you will always go back to 5 series.

@@Alby911 the fact you can get the Mrs two kids a dog and luggage for a week away in Europe in the M5 would sway most, I would pay to watch someone get all that in a 911 turbo 😂 Like you say it’s personal, the Taycan wouldn’t be an option for me due to being electric and too restricting on where you can go, and the Panamera is just butt ugly. And Bentleys are far too ostentatious, also a different league when it comes to running costs.

Great test as only Matt does it! The M3 was not really to my liking the first couple of times I saw it but in my humble opinion, the M5 cs looks just a bit drab from the outside... lovely interior though...

Not sure I’d like the sound of either being revved outside my house, also not sure that drifting capabilities (or even track day potential) would ever be high up on my list of daily driver priories, but perhaps if you’d conducted the test on the M25 during rush hour it would have all made more sense … 🤔 I do like the wild grill on the M3, but beyond that both just look like standard BMW sportingly inoffensive designs… Am I missing something here 🤔
