it actually makes sense to me from a geographical angle. you “could” hit freeway speeds in the right lane if you needed to, but i think it’d be great for places like the bay area and LA. tight streets, slow speeds, scrapes and fender benders happening all the time. it’d make a great delivery bike for doordash or commuting, it’s basically a sporty looking scooter with sportier seating.

Put 12k miles on it from brand new and traded it for a 2017 FZ-07 ABS. Although i did want to get a bigger bike within a month but I didn't want to die in college. @chaseontwowheels These bike are great for in town rides or some back roads. Had a dirt bike that was 1600 bucks and yes it was very cheaply made but! The motor was basically a Honda 125cc without the Honda stamp. Good motor and trans and honestly it was pretty good after a carb swap because the original didn't idle well at stop lights when warm. I made sure every bolt had red thread sealer on it lol and everything greased. 1-10? Bout a 6/7. Drove over 800 miles no prob and was getting around 70mpgs? Not bad and spending around 8 bucks a week in gas and oh! Chase! Insurance was dirt cheap! Y'all ready?? 18 bucks a month for insurance. Overall it was slow no doubt but it was a good yet cheap reliable transportation. Thanks as always for the uploads bro. 👍🇺🇲

I have been modding the $h&! out of it though with plans for more. It’s been an amazingly fun bike for me (I only weigh 135lbs) and it makes for a great trail bike, that I can run on the road. I bought my first bike, a Yamaha FZ6 used for $2,200. It will take me anywhere i want and has bullet proof reliability. I don't see the point of a bike like this when there are soo many far superior used bikes around the same price.

Venom is all over here in Ukraine. They make a 250cc version also. 17 or 22 HP I don't remember....but the 250cc version will do about 135kph ( about 80mph )...which...you know...hmm. Fine for shooting around the city and not eating a lot of gas. I bought a Viper R1 250 cc Chinese bike for my wife to learn on. She was a first time rider and was bored to death in about 4 months. BUT!!!! She learned all the basic moto skills and yadda yadda...so yeah. Quality is not on par with anything else...but parts are cheap and they run and run and run. Had the bike for 3 years and not a single problem. woohoo for Chinese tech guys.

BTW...the Viper R1 is a replica of a Yamaha yzf125r. It was mistaken for one many times...until she started the thing. We called it the baby Ducati with the aftermarket exhaust. Thing set off car alarms all day long. Very entertaining to ride.

They sell them in NYC. We use them strictly for fun. No registration or insurance needed. Just charge it and go. The cops don’t even care if you’re riding them. There about as common as a bicycle. The best thing about it. No need to gas it up. Just plug it up to your regular outlet and your good.
