I got the updated polisport plastic kit with the updated air box for my 04 yz250. Looked great until I tried to wheelie while standing 😳 now my rear fender got a nice stress mark across it lol. But it went back to original shape. Nothing a decal can't hide 😜

Love the videos man! Just a tip. When you cut plastics. Use the blue tap and put on the side you're keeping. Cut off the piece but dont touch the blue tape line. Just get close enough. Then go with a sanding block and sand down to the blue tap line. Peel off the tap and thank me later. I discovered this on my own and the lines come out super streight.

@@MichaelSabo man, I’ve only had 1 experience with aftermarket plastics and it was a set of maier front fenders, pretty sure we messaged a little about it on instagram, but I had to use a tool to extend the holes on the front since they didn’t line up properly, also has an issue similar to yours with the front brackets not reaching without a bunch of force pulling them down.

Love the concept you are doing with the shee, I can’t wait to see your spreadsheet on this build, I hope your keeping track of every all the weight you are adding and taking off be cool to see a spreadsheet of all the weight saving and weight adding parts to see what you actually save in all on weight from the OG shee. And as far as the plastic go ppl down here In Oregon 9 times outta ten we cut our plastics for the sand dunes. But you definitely need the OEM’s if you when I keeping them full fender. Keep up the great wk and the awesome videos and all the awesome editing you do. I hope you make hoodies one day for the Channel. But unfortunately I’ve never been able to save money to buy one to rebuild. I dream one day of being able to own a banshee and if that ever happens I will do a sabo inspired banshee build. Unfortunately I’ve lived a life of horrible luck. I’ve been able to get some small quads and dirt bikes for my kids but now that there getting older I haven’t been able to get bigger ones. Really want full set of blue for my next build. Killin it with this series. Really good work on the port matching too. If ur waiting for motor assy dude u should really look into shift drum bearing mod and shift shaft bearing mod. Mechanical hulk could machine u up ur lower case in a jiff, order the correct size bearings, and that gives u a bearing behind shifter seal and on opposite side of the shift drum. Would compliment ur other trans mods freakin sweet dude!!!

I almost did those two bearings when I did my banshee the first time around. My trans shifted really nicely the way I had it setup or else I'd definitely take some time and do as you suggested. I'm not sure why people ask those price on eBay; I guess they're counting on people not checking on OEM sites 🤷

I love the builds man. I do really wish you would do a build out of the norm. Maybe if you would build an LT250R maybe it would give the guys a chance to see where to get parts. Everyone has a banshee, the honda 250r, or the quadzilla. A lot of guys out here, like me, have an old LT250R. I understand they may not be as diserable by some, but believe there are some that have and love them. I love the channel and I love your builds. Just was hoping you would do something different from the norm. Something that's more challenging to find parts for. Maybe if you would do that than some of these places would start making parts for them again or start making parts for them now. Thanks man. Hopefully you will give it a thought. I seen your friend John had a video with an LT250R a while back.

It's hard to say; this thing should handle entirely different than it did. We are already planning the competition series 🤘

This is amazing ! I’m so pumped for this build mike, I had a feeling about the plastics I just hoped they were ok, I was gonna ask you have you hurd anything about FORCE RACING? They make pipes that are almost T5s but for $550 raw finish, I was looking into them they are new just wasn’t sure if you hurd of them.

I did look at force racing and I think you're right; they look like copies of the T5. There's another company that make a pipe called the "T9" that is also a copy of the T5. I haven't personally tried either of these but I'd imagine they run okay if they're well constructed copies.

hey mike i love all your vids but i was wondering if you could do a Tutorial on how to do a top and bottom end rebuild i know a thing or 2 about bikes but i would like to learn more bcuz sometimes bringing your own stuff to the mechanics can be a lil pricey it would be awesome 👏🏼.

45:20 is an amazing shot, lol. Keep it up, this is a great watch. BTW - JJ&A aluminum axle would be killer on this thing, and save HUGE amounts of weight. But not sure how the aluminum axle would fare on trails. But man, weight loss would be substantial.
