As I’ve said before, Corey possesses ALL of the elements that make an excellent instructor.. he tells you what he’s going to share/teach, he explains it, he demonstrates it (several different ways/times), and follows it all up with practical application. He provides the building blocks, without overwhelming, so it can simmer and sink in. Nice Job, Mr. Congilio! 👍🎸✌️😎

Totally agree
That's the reason why every begginer/intermediate guitar player complains that whatever they play, doesn't sound like music. I'm glad it wasn't a clickbait title, because, YES, it's the most important guitar soloing lesson. Thank you, Corey. You're the best.
Am i back in 1973, Christian jr high (middle school) band hall ? Practicing on the snare exactly as your doing now. Thanks for the flash back. God bless all.
WOW! Thanks Corey. Great lesson. No one has ever explained something so simple that will launch a thousand guitar players playing today into the stratosphere. Absolutely terrific! Thank you

Sax players did this lesson already 30 years ago :-)))
This is awesome! I’m a guitar instructor. I use your videos all the time! I share them with my students! You are right no one really has done this with solos. Rhythm really makes solos better let’s them breath.
As the old saying goes, timing is everything! A terrific lesson. Many thanks, Corey! 🙏 👏👏👏👏
Corey - your lesson is so digestible for this beginner. It’s lessons like this that help us really understand musicality. Thanks!
i love this mentality. It’s completely changed how I try to solo. Everything I do has become much more intentional and inspires me to try new things. thank you!
You are a gift to us here on KZread brother. You are changing who I am. Thank you.

Thx for that, Larry!
Absolutely game changing. Makes playing and practicing scales so melodic and also helps enforce your rhythmic variety. Brilliant 🙏🙏🙏
Gary Moore may have melted faces with his machine-gun style runs, but he knew when and how to apply measured melodic passages that really grabbed your ear. Corey, you've just deconstructed the style of my favorite blues and rock players!

One time I went to Orlando studios and I got on the back to the Future ride best ride I've ever been on in my life. It was so good in fact I went back for a second time. Only this time I had to sit in the front of the ride. As the ride progresses I accidentally look out the side of the cart and I noticed the other cars all around me. I sat back in my seat and I lost all interest in the ride because I learned how the ride works

Hmm ya , i do see your point, or maybe hear it , i should say. Gary moore rocks. And u know what they say, timing is everything
I DEFINITELY TUNED UP MY REVERB..AND EARS..I LOVE THIS LESSON.....--- Ennio Morricone --- IS LISTENING TO YOU CC !
this video should have a couple of millions of views, priceless! Thanks Corey!
Great lesson Corey, something that should be so obvious to us, but you are correct, it is something that does not seem to show up in lessons. Very important, thank you.
nice. i'm 'self-taught'.. i never learned anyone's solos. i learned melodies. thus i don't know any licks. it's been working for me for 45 years. i love this concept.
Ennio Morricone eat your heart out! Great lesson Corey!
Corey has put it out of the park - again!! Your videos are targeted to guitar subjects, problems and needs exactly "where I am." Thanks doesn't say enough, but I'm sayin' it any way. Corey, you're the best.

Such a great lesson - ultimately a lesson in intention, which is always going to make things sound more musical.
Corey has the knack to make things simple. Great lesson.

Corey, first off- yes this might be the best info on soloing. I do have a tendency to want to fill in all the empty space with notes. Need to find the right balance by using some of this thinking! Also- you have a beautiful way of playing right behind the beat. It's so perfectly laid back in the song. Can you do a video on that concept. I'd love to learn that approach and ideas on how to get that feel. Thanks!!!!
I struggle to go from one time value to the next and make it sound cool. This is very helpful. Thanks.
Corey has the best sound ever!
Right on Corey I've never heard this Thanks again
So hillarious. Gold Foil Pickups the Japanese guitars were known for in the 60s. IE: Kent, Kingston Played by a Top Shelf Guitarist making them sound like Vintage PAFs.
Great lesson I will try and apply lately I have been working on the basics after ignoring for 40 years and it has paid off.
I absolutely love you Corie. You must be the coolest dude in town and your guitar skills are phenomenal. Thanks for doing what you do.
Great lesson Corey, most of us are too preoccupied with playing the "right" notes at the right time and don't pay enough attention to phrasing and rhythm👍🤘

Glad you enjoyed it
This is one I keep coming back to.
Interesting that the focus on rhythm could prove so significant in terms of flavour of the solo, but colour was also added by your interpretation of articulation, dynamics, and changing attack within the phrasing, I guess combining all of these sometimes very subtle means of expression is what really enhances musical expression. Love your lessons and the focus on seemingly small things that in the end make a dramatic difference.
If that example of even intermediate players having rhythm issues is true, than no wonder I think I suck but everybody says I'm better than I give myself credit for, I've never had any issues just noodling around and keeping a consistent picking rhythm, and if I start falling out of it I always hear it immediately and correct myself.
I found your lessons yesterday and I have to say, easily…EASILY the best blues guitar instructor on KZread. Been playing for20 odd years but learned ‘by ear’ in the 90s so had no theory background. Switched to blues last year and got on the theory train finally, your lessons are exactly what I needed. Thank you!

Such a simple concept. I don’t know why I’ve never thought of it like that before. Thanks for a new way to approach my solos.
Absolute gold,playing in time!
This is really good Corey!! An approach I hadn't thought of but once I started to watch this it just made so much sense. Thanks for all your teachings and that Novo is one of the coolest in your collection.
simple yet classic and great for any level like you said
Stop making sense 😆 Man, what a great lesson! I’m 64 and been trying for a while to find something that turns on my guitar’s headlights and I think this is it! Thanks man 👍🏻👍🏻 (downloaded backing track)

Another concept very few talk about is playing the note more than once instead of immediately jumping to a different note. I think it evokes more of a verbal statement to do that.
Thanks so much for this! Grabbed my guitar immediately. Best explanation of rhythm I've ever heard.
This has got to be the single most eye opening, revealing and enlightening lesson out of the countless ones I’ve watched on KZread! Thank you, Master!
Wow. Nothing more humbling than playing as long as I have and realizing that I need to revisit the fundamentals and give another look! Thanks.
This is a really good lesson / concept Corey. Always killing it.
Corey is a genius. Never heard such approach to soloing, one more point of view. Thanks 👍🏻 🎸🖖🏻

Thanks for the video Corey, great job as always👍🎸
Great stuff as always , thanks Corey.
A good lesson-always impressed with your feeling in your music. Thank you, Corey!
Someone who has great time but has never been a shredder once sang "breathe, breathe in the air".
So cool, I'm definitely going to include this concept in my regular practice.
"Up the ante'" an expression I don't see often enough but this seems to describe Corey's driving force when he continuously brings us these phenomenal new lessons! I actually try to convince myself to cease commenting on CC's newly released lessons because I fear it loses meaning but then he continuously rethinks concepts we don't really consider and presents these pertinent ideas into bite sized lesson form and I can't help myself but get excited and comment. Again, well done!! Jim C.
Great lesson! This is exactly what I needed!
Thanks Corey spot on.
That was fabulous!!!
Great review!! As always!!

This video is exactly what the internet needed. Thanks Corey
Amazing lesson brotha!
Great lesson as usual Corey...it's so easy to get caught up with licks and speed when what you should be focusing on is getting those basic rhythms locked in. Thanks!

Great lesson. Thank you
Very Good!! Thank you.
Man I have been trying to play for 5-6 years now and have wondered about this since day one. This is great, thank you
Brilliant, real game changer. Thanks Corey.
sweet lesson, thanks
Awesome description. Congrats man.
Perfect timing man… this is exactly what I’ve been working on in my music studio (aka garage…lol) for the last few days. Thanks for the instructions brother!
Really eye opening lesson for me. Thank you so much for this. I'm going to modify my practice with this method immediately.
Good one Corey 👍
Great lesson, and the track is great to jam over, thanks!
.. nice touch Corey.
Great lesson 👍👍👍
Great lesson Corey… it had me counting the whole way through… loved it thanks
Great Lesson, thanks
Real substance - Corey is the real deal - this really is everything. Thank you for the amazing content, Corey! (On here and on True Fire).
WOW!! That’s all I can say. A real eye opener.
Thank you soo much! Love this lesson! Always good stuff with you though!
You are a good pocket-player Corey. Thats what I see that makes you a pro. Being in the pocket doesnt mean you are on beat one exactly but, hitting in that place behind or in front of the one beat. Corey has that sweet spot right behind the one. Thats where BB and all the Kings find theirs too. Great lesson as always bro.
