Rhythm truly is the key. You don’t need to be all that ‘great’ of a player, but if you have a really good sense of rhythm...you can get away with a lot. Enjoyed the video!

Students are often baffled when I tell them a lead player actually has to be even better at rhythm than the rhythm player. Rhythm is not that hard though, it's often just a matter of letting go of holding the body so rigid. That's why circular strumming the swing rhythm helps so much. Learn to play more like a dancer and rhythms feel a lot more natural. Like watch Corey play again and pay attention to his head. That head is swingin all by itself, not wonder he nails it.

This was great, thanks, I have been researching "what is freestyle guitar?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Ronthan Janvelyn Genie - (should be on google have a look ) ? It is a smashing one off product for discovering how to play Guitar Solos without the headache. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my buddy got great success with it.
Corey plays everything right in the pocket and tone from Heaven.

Probably my most favorite channel to watch as a beginner on guitar. I've watched a lot of very talented guitarist on youtube as most have, and there's a lot of great guitarists on here but yours seem easier to grasp. You have a way of not overcomplicating things and i can easily see what you're doing along with you're instruction/description(not that any of what you do is easy). I get a little from each of your videos and then take it mutate it (mutilate) come back to the beginning and come away with something i didn't have. Thanks for the videos!

I’m a intermediate player. I relate to when the teacher calls out the fret and string number. 7th fret 3rd string. As opposed to say C sharp or B, the actual string note name. The first way is easier for me since I don’t know every note name. Maybe I should learn. 😂😂😂 That’s what every KZread teacher advises. 👍🏻 Anyways, this channel and Marty, Justin and Rob Swift is Heaven. Thank you Papa, for all you do.

2 thoughts - 1. If the secret project is along these lines, I am in because this was great. 2. That straight line in the middle of the wood paneling is the biggest mind screw. It looks like a split screen until Brett's headstock cuts across.

Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush...GREAT LIVE! Also incredible live...Pat Travers Band. Johnny winter was too. And of course...Roy Buchanan. I was lucky enough to see all these guys in small venues where the souns systems were top notch. Saw Alice Cooper Killer Tour in 71 .I was 10. Glenn Buxton...very,vary under rated lead guitarist. Played a real roadworn white Gibson SG Custom w gold hardware and 3 humbuckers. Not sure what year...1964 maybe? But he wrote and co wrote so many of those AC classics on it.Scools Out,Billion Dollar Babies,Eighteen,Love it to Death,Looney Tunes,Desperado,Be My Lover,Ballod if the Dwight Fry. The list is endless. I had an old Silvertone guitar w a 5 watt silvertone tube amp.I was in my room for the first couple years of playing learning Alice Cooper Schools Out,Love It To Death and Killer. My dad played country with very heavy strings on his acoustic. He used to buy my strings and I guess he figured the heavier he got me, stronger theyd be , the less strings id break.
