So happy to have found your channel! I'm one of your grateful subscribers. And your teaching style is perfect for me. You explain in detail and give plenty great examples of what you're talking about at a comfortable rate I can assimilate. Thank you so much for sharing with us your gift and approach to playing lead guitar!

Awesome lesson Corey! With the quality of your videos, I really don't think it'll take you 10 years to hit 100k subs :-) But regardless, I'm happy you make these and look forward to watching you in the future too. I just want to second your statement regarding a minor seventh chord not only being useful for jazz. In fact, the first time I learned how to play the sixth string, root form that you showed, it was for playing Behind The Wall Of Sleep by Black Sabbath! My friend (who was a lot further along in guitar playing than me) taught me that chord and I just loved the sound of it. Within days, I also learned the 6th string root version of a 13th chord and ended up writing an original song of my own with these new chord shapes. I've loved them ever since!

Corey, i've stumbled upon you a few weeks ago and i'm loving your lessons man. After 25 years of playing off and on again, these arpeggio videos are improving my playing by leaps and bounds. I love it and will be looking at purchasing your truefire courses as well. As a side note, curious what kind of strings and what gauge you use. I have trouble doing some bends you do comfortably, but have 10's on my PRS. Might have to play more or go down a gauge. Thanks for the content!

Glad you are enjoying the lessons. I’m using 10s but I go back and forth a bit. Playing more will definitely build strength and it won’t take that long
