He certainly got his leg over enough in the series... but a lot of that was how Johnathan Frakes sat down.
"They *are* a sensible people": this the most literally cocksure thing Riker has ever said.
It's funny how they are trying to convince them that Picard doesn't exist, then 5 seconds later they *are talking to Picard*
Troi "I can pimp you out to any woman I'd like" Riker "You mean every woman?" Troi "That as well" Riker "I like this world" Spirit of Kirk "That's my boy!"

Yep, that's Vasquez Rocks, where "Arena", "Shore Leave", "The Alternative Factor", "Friday's Child" and "Bread And Circuses" had location filming done. Nice touch by the TNG people to do their filming for this episode there.

Would love to see more on the Mintakan's they are interesting.
"We are visitors. We stumbled upon this man and tended to his wounds after he'd slipped and hit his head. He didn't know where he was, and wasn't making any sense. We are happy to see he is safe with his people, who can take care of him." Problem solved. Throw in a can of biodegradable hypospray and say it's from a distant land if you want to be sure. It's not like they'll be able to reverse engineer it. ..."Palmer is with us."
I miss the old days of Star Trek when there didn't need to be explosions everywhere to tell a good story.

Great! Maybe they will treat him for his injuries, and help him. 🤕 Maybe they will allow "Troi and Riker" to use some of their far away traveler medicine to treat him, too. 😀 Maybe The Picard can walk into their camp when Palmer is better and say "Hey, there he is! Thank you for taking care of him. 😃" "Change the weather, bring back the dead? I can't do anything like _that!_ 😆😅🤣. But, I can reward you with this nice, shiny durable cloth we call spandex. Would you like some Spandex?" 😃 ☺️ 🙁 😞 Nope, instead of treating Palmer or letting him rest, they tied him to a chair. Thinking they could blackmail a god into doing their bidding. 😭

Deep Space Nine was essentially a series about beings who the Federation saw as wormhole aliens and the Bajorans saw as godlike beings they called "The Prophets". When Jake Sisko asked his dad which one they were his dad replied "Why not both?" In another episode a Vorta, Weyoun, is making fun of the Bajorans for believing the wormhole aliens are Gods and the Cardassian in the rpom reploes " Don't you believe the Founders are gods?" and Weyouns replies "That's different... the Founders ARE gods!"

I never cared for the episodes where they sneak disguised people into a pre-warp society to study them. It always seems to cause more harm than good. With the Federation's tech level hidden recording devices would be far more viable!

Here's a theory to toy with: Technologically highly advanced ETs are even here on Earth, underground, and have watched us for a long time but really put emphasis on staying out of sight because they, too, are very vulnerable and possibly value their life particularly much, so with humans wielding nukes and all, they are aware their own technology isn't an invulnerability shield. They are concerned about the humans' vast potential for chaotic savagery. All too easily could advanced technology fall into their hands, and then you'd have a competing species with the tech but not the wisdom.

There's a similar fan theory that Star Trek was introduced by disguised aliens as a way to see how ready we are for first contact
