    Do not buy a honda with the 1.5 liter with a the turbo in cold weather driving. Engine is to small and can not get to operating temp in stop and go driving with the heater on max. I spent the day looking for a 2023 rav4 woodland edition. The car is essentially a base xle hybrid with trd tuned suspension and larger, more aggressive tire. Most dealerships I called didn’t even get an allocation. The ones that did after all the questions and back and forth, “oh by the way, there’s a 5000 markup”. I would respond with, “thanks for letting me know ,that way I can write it down and remember to never do business with you”. After 17 calls I finally found one, in the color that I wanted, and at msrp. Don’t pay these ridiculous, bogus prices.

    @@richsweeney1115 1. I’ve owned many cars over the years. Only one has been in an accident, and another had hail damage which you couldn’t tell once it was fixed. To suggest every single car/most cars get in some sort of accident is crazy. 2. There are a minority of times where buying new can be an okay decision. If the prices are out of whack like they are now, you keep the vehicle for a long time/lots of mileage and take meticulous care of it, it can be worth it. It also allows you to avoid vehicles that have been abused. Mind you, this is coming from someone who only bought new one time (during a recession) and 3 years later I was offered more (including all the fees and taxes) than I paid for it (Tacoma). There were a couple other times where I really could have gone either way (new or used) and it would have been either a wash or maybe I would have paid a somewhat nominal amount for the piece of mind of a new car.

If someone is willing to pay $15k over sticker, then they will sell it for $15k over sticker. He could have gone to a chevy dealership. My guess is he wanted a Honda, so you pay what Honda wants. I like my sunroof. I can open the sunroof and roll down all the windows and pretend it's convertible, without having to stop the car to put it back up. When the car has been parked in the hot sun, the sunroof makes it easier to vent the heat while waiting for the A/C to start cooling. In cool weather you can let the sun shine in without the cold wind.

    I had a similar situation, early november, i totaled my 2015 civic so i needed a car. i originally was planning to get a used civic but the prices for them were ridiculous. i went to some local smaller dealerships and they had used ones for up to like 32k. they were had really high mileage for their years, like i found a 2022 civic with 39k. Long story short i went to a couple different honda dealerships to try and get a new one, most were in transit and already had people with deposits on them. and all the dealerships had market adjustments of 5,000 and dealer added accessories, which were “non negotiable”. i just walked out and said ok we’re good, across the street from one of the honda dealerships is a kia dealership. i decided why not just go see what they have, few hours later i walked out with a new 2023 kia forte gt for only 27k. i’ve had it for a few weeks and have zero regrets. Kia really upped their game.

    I was lucky enough to get my 2022 Civic Hatchback Sport for MSRP back in Dec 2021. I upgraded from a 2005 Civic Sedan EX (~190-200k Miles). The old Civic still ran but the repairs needed costed more than the car was worth. I had the new Civic for nearly a year now. Its been a great point A to point B car. Android Auto and Apple Carplay are great features to have. I couldn't get around on my own without GPS. Everything is so spread out here in Florida. The issues I do have are a weak front windshield defroster, cloth material gets dirty easily, and road noise. Nothing too major. I got it in the boost blue color and its just a beautiful looking car. I almost got the Elantra over it, but no one would sell it at MSRP. I'm glad I went with Civic in the end.

    Ty for sharing ... great vid ... I like these updated civic's, that hatch was perfect for me specially that motor, had it in my 2018 really wanted another one but could not justify my cheap daily beater to cost so much extra $$$ ... most LX base after markups were around $29 to $32k 🤣 ... so his sport was a deal thx to the local options ... Actually wound up picking up a 2023 Altima last week for $26k ... Abeloff Nissan in Bartonsville, PA --- ZERO MSRP adjustments ... bought 2 cars from em this year w/o hassle. Not exactly my first pick for cars but after the first buy and how they treated me, I will always search there lot before others... all and all I saved around $9k between the 2 cars compared to the honda dealers... the Sad thing is even with msrp adjustments people are still taking these ... and a lot more then before ...

    Thank you. I said the same thing about stand-up screens. It looks like they stuck an I Pad on the dashboard. In one car I owned I loved the sun- roof. I could open it and get some air. I used to wear contacts, so when I opened the side windows, it hurt my eyes. But with the Honda Civic, I never used the moon-roof. I had a 2010 Honda. It was okay. After it got older, the engine idle was very rough. I don't know if the dealer service ruined the timing or if it was a problem with the car. The paint was faulty and wore down all over the car. I also had to have the heater core replaced, a costly repair. I've never had that done on any other car. And even after replaced, I still sometimes smelled pancake syrup coming out of the vents, but at least the windows didn't fog up. The seats were also extremely uncomfortable. The car was reliable, but the uncomfortable seats were not good for long trips. The dealer was also a crook, charging me for repairs they never performed.

I tried negotiating with a pre approved loan, trade in, and a down payment ready to take their car off the lot they wouldn't budge. AGREED on the vertical screens! I don't know why so many manufacturers are doing that. It looks like such a rushed afterthought as to where the infotainment system should go.

    @Aaron - When I first saw them I thought they pushed down into the dash. Vertical screens, for map info, radio, auxiliary info, - they do look like a mini iPad afterthought as you say.

  • @BigBear--

    @BigBear--

    Жыл бұрын

    There's a reason they do it. The built in screens are forced tl flow with the dash angle (more or less), they're also mounted lower than thhe vertical screens. Because of that you tend tk get a lot of glare on the screen that washes out the image, and you can't see anything. In the Civics case, enough people complained about the 10th gen Civics having constant glare, that Honda listened and raised the mounting location as well as increasing the angle to vertical. The screen is also closer to being inline with the sight line of the driver, rather than having to look down.

I dont want to buy or sell a car anymore. I dont evwn want normal jobs anymore, theyre all corrupted trash. Theyre enslaving us one robbery at a time. They rob you of a fortune for a clunker off the factory floor and then ecpect you to go get a job to pay for it just barely scraping by. These people getting loans for cars they cant afford and are getting robbed and they deserve it sonce they willingly want to get robbed.
