thanx for saving my time… I watch these for the process and the FINISHED RESULT
Thank you for helping me to make peace with my neighbor! I'm a 68-year-old lifelong TREE HUGGER. I bought my home 25 years ago,, largely because it is surrounded by lovely trees. I spend a lot of time in my beautiful, peaceful backyard. Two years ago a young man bought the house next door. He chopped down almost every tree on the property. My soul cried every time I heard the hideous screech of his chainsaw. Then he brought in a sawmill. I was so angry that I had to listen to him "murder " the trres. Then I found your youtube channel. Your appreciation of the wood is simply joyful! I love watching you splash water to inspect and savor the unique beauty of each slab! Watching you really helped me to see my noisy neighbor in a new light. Thank you!
The people I know will pay thousands upon thousands for those final pieces of art. Mother Nature at her finest. Great find gentleman.

People will pay thousands just for the blank slab as it is.
Spoken like a true wood turner. With a huge tree trunk in front of him waiting to be slabbed he pulls out one of the cutoffs and says it will make great bottle stopper blanks. Got to love that!

I'm guilty of the same thoughts, mainly because I don't have the tools or shop space to do full river table type projects.
Matt - we need to do a follow up video when they build the table so we can see what this turns out to like!

At a minimum it would probably be 6 months before a table could be started... Proper drying and wood stabilizing needs to be done first. I'm on board with a translucent epoxy... Maybe add some fiber lights to highlight the smaller voids.

You’ve seen it a thousand times already, or at least some variation of it. Cut off a few random pieces to make it look natural, fill in the negative spaces with an unnatural colored epoxy, throw some pre fabbed black steel legs on it and call it a day.

These guys will likely turn it into firewood.
I can't imagine, it gets much better than this. Well done gentlemen 👍
Absolutely beautiful set of office furniture, desks, cabinets and tables. Somewhere it must be seen and enjoyed.
Matt, you should talk to these guys and have them send pics of a finished project form some of these slabs so we can see how they turn out. I bet they are SPECTACULAR!!!
This tree survived a rough life to yield such a fantastic pile of firewood. Fortunately, today its inner beauty has been exposed. I'll be checking their channel to see what becomes of these natural creations.
Beautiful, unusual, and unique, Matthew. Filling in some of the spaces with the smaller pieces of burl was a cool idea. Minimize your artificial fillers.
Hard to beleave that was almost firewood WOW great choice. So many would have never cut this log.
As an artist, I really love the appreciation of the natural wood. A fad in computer "design" is to tack wood on the cabinet. But their understanding of "wood" is printed "woodgrain" on plastic. Please send some 4"x8"x¼" pieces with actual character to Gamers Nexus so they can see what wood really is.
Those slabs in the background look amazing and this burl and log were a treat!
Matt. Thank you for sharing such interesting and entertaining videos. I always look forward to your videos…. I’m a long time woodworker typically using domestic hardwoods. I always learn something new from your milling adventures. Godspeed.
Yesssss, seeing the finished products would be great!
Whatever that tree lived through left those memories and events are forever cast in it's trunk, log and slab. Beautiful how nature faces the challenges an writes it's story into the wood pattern, shape and colour. Good one for a Tee Shirt.
Matt, thank you for another uer great video! Wishing you, Lindsay and the kids a safe & happy summer. 🌞🍦⛱️🍦🚣🍦🏊
Nature never fails to amaze with its beauty! Holy smokes that's gorgeous!
Great save guys it’s going to make a lot of stunning projects
You guys saved a masterpiece canvas. I hope you post a video on the final product you create with the burl. Can't wait to see.
Matthew and friends great work as always.
That is super neat. I would also love to see some finished product.
An awesome piece of wood and great video, Thanks Guys!!
* Every one of those slices were Fabulous. I would enjoy watching pieces being made & Finished pieces.. So Many possibilities... Glad you decided to look at it.. Thanks!
I think I get too excited when Matt drops a new sawmill video
Wow ... I can't find any other words to describe this burl. Stunning. God bless.
Good find, tons of character and they will make some nice builds! 👍
That is truly some beautiful wood... Make some great tables, that's for sure
Leopard walnut... quite interesting figuring. Matt, please post a follow up with these guys when they are using these slabs. It would be great to see this in the real world. Thanks Matt. Cheers
Oh man, I would LOVE an "Executive Desk" made of one of those beautiful slabs with one side made flat (like the typical desk edge). I think an epoxy covered slab desktop with the log-slice natural outer edge contour would make an amazing desk. It would be a cause of desk envy for sure! Simple sturdy legs at each end are all that'd be needed, the slab is the star!
What awesome slabs I would love to see at least one of these in it’s finished product, best wishes from Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺
I always knew that burls are like unwrapping a gift! That pattern is insane!! Crazy cool! Would love to see your finished tables! You hit the jackpot on that one! Thanks for sharing your videos! Wow!!
So fun to hear the banter of three enthusiastic humans, making plans
Absolutely beautiful!
That was enjoyable to watch. Some beautiful slabs.
Some of the most impressive cuts I've seen
Wow some beautiful looking slabs, make some fabulous furniture.
Really like to see these beautiful slabs with finish on them.
These are absolutely beautiful slabs. Would love to see what you all make out of them.
Greetings from the BIG SKY. Well done, you guys saved it.
Being a bowl turner, it makes me cry to see this beautiful piece slabbed. Wonderful grain.
Wow,Those were Amazing!
Wowzers! So beautiful!
Spectacular design by nature and saw
Good Stuff Matt , enjoyed That video Large ... Thanks for sharing!!
What a gorgeous piece of wood!
What could have been fuel for the burn pile, when cut, shows that God makes things beautiful on the inside even when we only judge from the outside. What a great selection of wood for so many different purposes, including those "pen blanks".
Great work. Thank you.
That's one wild log to lumber. The colors and patterns are so different from anything you've ever done. I was seeing animals and faces besides the curls and river looking pieces.
Simply beautiful! ❤ Thanks for sharing. Ps: When you mentioned "Isle of Spalt" the Google Fi commercial popped up with a couple stranded on a deserted island. Very funny. 😊
I have watched a lot of wood cutting but I have never seen one like this one EVER, WOW what a log. I would like to see what you guys make out of this beautiful piece of wood
That was great fun to watch at the comfort of my desk.
absolutely amazing and awe inspiring.
Beautiful beyond words!

Is it weird to just hang pieces of wood on your walls?
Revealing the inner beauty! Fantastic!
Ohhhh my goodness! I want a piece soooo so bad!❤❤❤❤
Love the troll or owl at 1:45! and drool, drool, drool! “Pen blanks and bottle stoppers” means these guys know the value of every scrap of wood!
I am glad this escaped the burn pile!
Spectacular! Can we eventually get some follow up on what these pieces become?

Awesome video!!!
Color, patterns, figure - just WOW!
Beautiful wood guys. I hope you got creative with it.
Matt, I had an idea. To help you secure wonky logs, make some brackets that you can bolt in to your deck. Then drop a short beams where you need them. Get some 2x4, 2x6, 2x8 metal or do wood in 2x5, 2x7 or what ever size you want...
love to see finished products form this tree.
Lots of weird figured grains in that piece, thanks for sharing Matt.
Guys, I've been watching your videos for a while now and wonder if you've been in contact with any custom gunmakers? Some of the pieces that aren't efficient for furniture production might be just what a custom flintlock rifle needs to set it off. And I understand that they will pay very well for highly figured stock blanks. Also, another vote for seeing some finished products as well as the prep and build process. Thanks !
Absolutely beautiful wood would love to see it finish.
You guys definitely have to show us in a cpl videos of what you make of it. Thanks a really serious beautiful tree.
I really like good old plain walnut but, this freak of nature is gorgeous !
What a mind blowing stack of wood! 😮🔥❤️🙏
amazing character. so many different things going on!
Now to me that is what I call originality you might find something similar but not the same that will make some great piece of work once turn into projects have a great guys that was a great log
First time watcher here. That bottom slab of the first cut. Damn that looks like a beautiful vertical art piece! Could epoxy with a dark wine bottle reddish purple and sell it to a winery! Or heck a restaurant as a door to the wine room.
I LOVE Burl. I had some walnut, about 480 board foot worth, it had CRAZY burl, I had a 67" solid section almost 12/4 thick. The actual burl part was in the 35" wide by around 40" long. I still have the cut of it, and I stare at it occasionally, and go "What do I do with you?" Because it's just amazing figure. Looking at maybe a guitar body or two or something but I cannot let it go to waste! NEVER TOO MUCH CHARACTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Those were beautiful slabs, but the last two were amazing.
Amazing Log! 🤩
Wow - beautiful!!!
Great beautiful one of a kind lumber. Would love to see what they make out of them. Do they have a channel or site?
Matt Thankyou for an interesting video also enjoyable
Fantastic, I would love to call that seat mine.
Nice work!
Thanks to all three of you!
Just the appreciation you guys are showing for this beautiful wood make me hit the subscribe. I am so jealouse !!! good jealousy but jealous.
Growing up on farmland, cutting winter firewood and clearing downed trees... I see now by yours and others videos that I piled and burnt MILLIONS.
Talk about unique. Sure hope to see some final product.
that was so wild looking wood!
Those blokes are going to have an exciting time doing something with these slabs. Their imaginations will be able to run wild. I have no doubt that what they create will be extraordinary.
Oh wow, that was insanely beautiful. Thankfully they did not burn it. The bees and walnuts were a bonus too. Matt, you’re living the dream.
Those big slabs with the 90° crotch could make an amazing corner desktop once resin stabilizes and fills out some parts.
OMG .... all I can envision is what incredible gunstocks that could be made from one of those slabs!
Good job guys
Those looked like carpenter bees. Harmless. Great looking log too!
Wow. What a fantastic table the could become.
The curly "rotten Bananas" stuff is improvised jazz, and the solid with occasional curls and burls is "classical" (through composed) music and through composed jazz. That, and all sorts in-between. The analogy is really clear.
In the right hands, that is several thousand dollars worth of wood. Looking forward to see what you do with it. The narrow pieces would make a beautiful shuffleboard for a man cave. I haven't seen that done yet. Love your videos!
Matt if you would eat more donuts the back of your mini skid steer would not come up in the air when moving logs !
Very happy the sound effect at 21:53 made the final cut 😂
When he loaded it on the bed after the first cut, it looked like a giant mandrake root. Too cool!
Spectacular!
Very cool log
