Hey everyone! My name is Matt and I love woodworking. I build fine furniture using my own blend of hand and power tools and I start with cutting down a tree. My designs have a clean straight line look but I also really enjoy building period pieces. My videos aim to motivate others to challenge themselves and try something new.

ASMR? How could you stoop so low Matt?
OMG, you were so young, but still detailed and skills to match. Thanks for sharing that Matt!!
Thanks! My Picture This app just told me we have a cherry tree in our property and I was in slight disbelief. 🙃
Can you supply the details for the bandsaw accessory that you use to cut the dovetails?

You talk too much. Just get on with it, come on already……
Great looking project.
Sorry to say it buddy but use common sense. Two people minimum always.
Not seen this channel before and at the beginning i got excited thinking i was about to see the most epic tree house build. Kinda disappointed. But that's a big cherry tree
You were such a baby face back then. We all get older
I built my coffee and end tables after I watched the original video. Fun to revisit.
Lots of time and $$$ in that setup, i hope you make it good man. Looks pretty clean
It drives me crazy when I see stickers, price tags or anything on newly bought tires or lumber or anything. I don’t understand why people can’t just pull them off.
👋🏼
Wow! Producing videos from old footage! Very nice! This illustrates a bunch of excellent techniques. It was well worth producing and you looked very... young back then! 😅
I live on the west coast and have been working with a lot of salvaged old growth redwoood in the process of restoring my 1880s home. I use all the techniques you show in this video with one key change. Applying the epoxy precisely out of a mixing cup is next to impossible. I dispense the resin and hardener into the corner of a ziplock or other hole-free baggie. Twist the baggie to isolate the corner and squish it around to mix. Cut the corner off with a razor knife at whatever size stream you need. Keep twisting the bag to keep it sealed and build a little pressure. I use recycled bags but u run the risk of having a leak which is a mess.
wow
Vids like this make my wife think furniture goes from raw lumber to stained/sealed in an afternoon. Plz post the 27-hr version that includes sanding. Thx
Beautiful! Matt, have you/will you put together the full string of videos on the kitchen build. I think I missed some. Would like to do a Matt binge video viewing weekend this summer.

Build a Curved Walnut Coffee Table | Woodworking Project with Plans kzread.info/dash/bejne/lYtsxZeTds68ZLQ.html
I built a couple of cherry boxes for the wife and daughter a long time ago, way before KZread and didnt know about grain matching and such. I'm getting back into woodworking and this is what I want to do!
A beautiful coffee table. Would love to have it in my living room!
Years ago I found this channel because I had an arbor bearing issue with my Ridgid R4511 tablesaw, and Matt had the same problem so he came up in a search when I wanted to see how someone else fixed it. Anyways, I had to replace the bearings twice because the first time I replaced with Made In China bearings, and they did not last long. I still have the tablesaw - and it does work... to be replaced soon.
What kind of a commie shirt is that?
I was trained in my 20s by a crazy furniture guy who made bow-back Windsor chairs and benches... Where on earth did you learn all this stuff, Matt?
Most of what I know was learned right there in that shop
Ten years, what a difference. Your look, your storage, your work shop, but same quality work. We should all have such an age progression.
I'm poor yet I would like a to a big room full Maple wood panels on the wall of course sanded down
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO
Hey, great table craftsmanship never goes out of style. I have watch a lot of your videos, I'm a fan.
excellent video, thanks for sharing!
Man... How far we've watched Matt come! From drying slabs in his basement to vacuum drying them in a few weeks!
Beautiful job I am not at that level yet but am getting better with every job I do
Great job Matt,, you really like that band saw,,you use it a lot i see...i had one years ago..it was a cheap one..with plastic wheels inside...i been looking for a good used one,,with steel wheels inside..and easy to get parts for..
WOW, even young Matt was rockin the wood back then. Oh, those were the days. Congrats on your success Matt! !! !!!
I noticed the then and now. In this video, your tolerance is about 1/16" to 1/32". In your current videos, your tolerance is about 1/32" to 1/64".
At 23:00 minutes why didn't you take about 5 or 6 boards off. It might have helped with the binding?
That's a beautiful table
Beautiful!!
10 years ago you built a coffee table, you are still at it. Thanks for all the videos.
Nice job Matt! Thanks for sharing the video with us!💖👍😎JP
Happy Father's Day Matt!
😃👍🏼👊🏼
Who would have thunked you to become a millionaire between now and then
Wow 10 year ago! This is amazing 🤩
Is that your son? lol
You were so young then. I don't mean you're old now! 😂😂❤❤❤❤❤
The one thing I thought through the video is that you look like a 15 year old kid. Then you wrote in the year 2014 on the board. 😂😂😂
Must have missed the first 8 seconds 🙃
woa,that
Woa! Looking at your hands and hearing your voice, then seeing the date! Saw your reference book. LOL! BMSM ( Before Matt's saw mill) Cutting the curve of the drawer fronts, nicely done.
Do you chew your finger nails??
A timeless classic Matthew. Very much like the design. Thank you for sharing sir.
