I just recorded a fantastic video of the carbon plenum I recently installed. It turned out the trick was to get a foam block, stick the mics in the blocks, aim them at the plenum (I used the microfilter spots with them removed) then adjusted the gain so WOT was just getting into the orange. And yes I was driving with a full pro mic setup in the car, with a laptop, F&F style. But it was totally worth the effort for the results.

I haven't gone full carbon but have the Carbon Klasse Plenum and Macht Snell intake, and your laughter at the new noise was exactly my reaction when I first had it fitted, and still now when I drive it. Induction roar is so much more pure than an exhaust. Love it!

It is absolutely amazing, and I totally agree with what owning an e92 M3 is about. I will suggest installing the M V8 badge on that thing.

I have the Eventuri CF plenum and oh man did I fight that rear hose... the notion to first loosen the plenum never came to me and every video on the internet skipped that part - thus making your video the best so far. I just wish you made it 2 years ago 😁 Imho these plenums really stand out with the OEM exhaust. I did the OEM mod and it kind of drowned the induction noise somewhat. Keep up the great work!

I like it I think it sounds good I have been eyeing the Turner intake for my F10 n55 and ECS just dropped the price so I might pull the trigger.

Didn't know Turner made a plenum for the E92. Cool! I'm also in Charlotte NC and have an E92 with DCT. I bet that plenum would be insane with some DCT shifts.

Question, how much did it increased the fuel consumption? Thank you for the video, it sounds amazing!

pretty sure you dont want to blip the throttle while downshifting. I could be wrong, but i heard it wasn't very good for the car. I used to do it in my gti, never had an issue but i just don't anymore :)

@@howdyimdan you’re wrong bro. Rev matching is essential when down shifting while racing, it prevents engine braking. Heel toe braking, look it up. You could probably argue that it is easier on the engine and drivetrain components, not harder

While you have removed the plenum, to install the Turner Carbon Plenum, you could have taken the opportunity to lubricate the linkage from the 8 throttle bodies with some teflon spray😉 I use the Karbonius Airbox for my E92 M3 and I´m happy with it👍 Greetings from Germany😎

@@ThicWhips And maybe clean ITBs and ICV with a throttle cleaner and microfiber towel...also did you consider replacing fuel tank breather valve and low pressure fuel sensor since plenum was off? Nice vids by the way...keep 'em coming man!

This car actually already has csf radiator and oil cooler, outside of that im not sure anything additional is necessary.

I just realized that I had a leak on my oil cap. Was smelling a little oil burning but valve cover gaskets were done 6 months ago. Turned out to be the oil cap. Thankfully Amazon got me straight.

Nah, the dynos show a lil bit of torque gain down low-mid, but besides that you’ll see the most difference with a different intake elbow.

@@ThicWhips I’m getting the Vargas GC+ and f80 paul is letting me know that the fuel it stage 4 is recommended for the full E85 tune. Thing is, I know nothing of port injection. All I know that the BMP fuel exists and is controlled by an external controller I think motive reflex+ No one explains how it’s all installed. I’m talking about fuel lines and wiring. Or how it’s tuned. Chasing the high 600s!

You should talk to the guys over at CES Motorsport, they have that exact setup tuned by Paul on multiple cars. There are a lot of options when considering port and motiv

As much as this looks amazing and sounds amazing. I don't think it's worth almost $4k just for sound! You're afe intake did a adequate job. However as you mentioned the e92 isn't about power its more about sound and the theatrics. I suppose if you wanted a powerfull and quick M3 then you'd get a f80 m3 or better the g80
