I am born and bred in Scotland and did not vote for SNP. The writing was on the wall with Sturgeon when she ranted on about freedom but wanted the EU to dictate to us? She is under investigation for helping herself to public funds which we pay for via taxation. Now Humza Yousaf (who people did not vote for but was ellected by SNP to be their leader) is in charge and helping himself to public money paid via taxation and sending it to Gaza. It gets worse. There was a consultation on this but as usual it was not very well publicised. The Church of Scotland and other groups tried to put a stop to it but unfortunately our msp’s from all parties dismissed all concerns and passed it. In essence a person can report a hate crime without evidence or proof as it’s their feeling is the only evidence is required for conviction. There is no defence as you are automatically guilty that’s the main problem.

Let's be honest here it's unlikely the majority of Scots agree with this draconian measure, however just like England or indeed the UK as a whole there is a deliberate and underlying agenda at work and it's not going stop until a bigger resistance makes its voice heard. Dictator Turdeau has proposed new online Hate speech laws here in Canada 🇨🇦 too. If someone ( anonymous) says that you are even THINKING of saying something “hateful”, then you can be charged with violating “hate speech” and go to prison for life. Yes this is true.

We know these laws won’t be enforced equally. Nobody in Scotland will be prosecuted for upsetting the Wee Free. It will be the same in England if Sir Keir introduces blasphemy laws which he will call a free speech law. Give Muslims protection from criticism and we are half way to putting them above the law. The worst of it is that an accusation could be taken as proof of guilt, and there would be no defence.
